ALLAH and KINDNESS

In the name of Allah, MOST GRACIOUS, MOST MERCIFUL. .
"But ask forgiveness of you Lord and turn unto Him (in repentance) for my Lord is indeed Full of mercy and LOVING-KINDNESS."
Or that He may not call them to account by a process of slow wastage--for thy Lord is INDEED FULL OF KINDNESS AND MERCY.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR US TO BE KIND
TO PARENTS
Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him and that ye BE KIND TO PARENTS. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life say not to them a word of contempt nor repel them but address them in terms of honor.
And OUT OF KINDNESS lower to them the wing of humility and say "My Lord! bestow on them Thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood."We have enjoined on man KINDNESS TO HIS PARENTS in pain did his mother bear him and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is (a period of) thirty months. At length when he reaches the age of full strength and attains forty years he says "O my Lord! grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favor which Thou hast bestowed upon me and upon both my parents and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam."
TO WIVES
A divorce is only permissible twice after that the parties should either hold together on equitable terms or SEPARATE WITH KINDNESS. It is not lawful for you (men) to take back any of your gifts (from your wives) except when both parties fear that they would be unable to keep the limits ordained by Allah. If ye (judges) do indeed fear that they would be unable to keep the limits ordained by Allah there is no blame on either of them if she give something for her freedom. These are the limits ordained by Allah; so do not transgress them. If any do transgress the limits ordained by Allah such persons wrong (themselves as well as others).O ye who believe! ye are forbidden to inherit women against their will. Nor should ye treat them with harshness that ye may take away part of the dower ye have given them except where they have been guilty of open lewdness; on the contrary live with them on A FOOTING OF KINDNESS and equity. If ye take a dislike to them it may be that ye dislike a thing and Allah brings about through it a great deal of good.
Then, when they have reached their term, take THEM BACK IN KINDNESS or PART FROM THEM IN KINDNESS, and call to witness two just men among you, and keep your testimony upright for Allah. Whoso believeth in Allah and the Last Day is exhorted to act thus. And whosoever keepeth his duty to Allah, Allah will appoint a way out for him, 652
TO ORPHANS, RELATIVES, FRIENDS, POOR ETC
To those weak of understanding make not over your property which Allah hath made a means of support for you but feed and clothe them therewith and speak to them WORDS OF KINDNESS and justice.But he would not attempt the uphill road, .
And what will make you comprehend what the uphill road is? .
(It is) the setting free of a slave, .
Or the giving of food in a day of hunger .
To an orphan, having relationship, .
Or to the poor man lying in the dust. .
Then he is of those who believe and charge one another to SHOW PATIENCE, and CHARGE ONE ANOTHER TO SHOW COMPASSION/KINDNESS. .It is prescribed for you, when one of you approacheth death, if he leave wealth, that he bequeath unto parents and near relatives in KINDNESS. (This is) a duty for all those who ward off (evil). 2180
The Prophet is closer to the believers than their selves, and his wives are (as) their mothers. And the owners of kinship are closer one to another in the ordinance of Allah than (other) believers and the Muhajir?n (who left their homes) except that YE SHOULD DO KINDNESS TO YOUR FRIENDS. This is written in the Book (of nature). 336
O my dear son! Establish worship and ENJOIN KINDNESS and forbid iniquity, and persevere whatever may befall thee. Lo! that is of the steadfast heart of things. 3117
Those who, if We give them power in the land, establish worship and pay the poor due and ENJOIN KINDNESS and forbid iniquity. And Allah's is the sequel of events. 2241
Lo! Allah enjoineth justice and KINDNESS, and giving to KINSFOLK, and forbiddeth lewdness and abomination and wickedness. He exhorteth you in order that ye may take heed. 1690
Keep to forgiveness, and ENJOIN KINDNESS, and turn away from the ignorant. 7199
There is no good in much of their secret conferences save (in) him who enjoineth alms giving and KINDNESS AND PEACE making among the people. Whoso doeth that, seeking the good pleasure of Allah, We shall bestow on him a vast reward. 4114
Allah forbiddeth you not those who warred not against you on account of religion and drove you not out from your homes, that ye should SHOW THEM KINDNESS and deal justly with them. Lo! Allah loveth the just dealers. 608
And remember We took a covenant from the children of Israel worship none but Allah; TREAT WITH KINDNESS your PARENTS and KINDRED and ORPHANS and those in NEED; SPEAK FAIR TO THE PEOPLE; be steadfast in prayer; and practice regular charity. Then did ye turn back except a few among you and ye backslide (even now). 283
This moral law is universal and if we break it, no privileges will lighten our punishment or help us in any way. "Speak fair to the people" not only means outward courtesy, but the protection of the people from being exploited, deceived, defrauded, or doped with things to lull their intelligence.
These laws for us relate to our fellow-beings in society to whom KINDNESS AND CONSIDERATION form the basis of OUR SOCIAL DUTIES. Our duties to our families our children and fellow-beings in intimate matters are as important as any in our spiritual life. The lessons apply not only to individuals but also to whole nations or social groups.

I really liked this. In Buddhism one of the "four friends" that will bring a person to peace is to practice kindness. Allah is a God of kindness and when we practice kindness we are hopefully pleasing to Him.
Allah is the greatest.
