Does anyone know any surahs in the Quran speaking of forgiveness? Forgiveness for others, and or clearing your heart, thinking the best of someone?

2263 Kind speech and forgiveness is better than charity followed by injury; and Allah is Self-sufficient, Forbearing.

3133 And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord; and a Garden, the extensiveness of which is (as) the heavens and the earth, it is prepared for those who guard (against evil).
3134 Those who spend (benevolently) in ease as well as in straitness, and those who restrain (their) anger and pardon men; and Allah loves the doers of good (to others).

4148 Allah does not love the public utterance of hurtful speech unless (it be) by one to whom injustice has been done; and Allah is Hearing, Knowing.
4149 If you do good openly or do it in secret or pardon an evil then surely Allah is Pardoning, Powerful.

7199 Take to forgiveness and enjoin good and turn aside from the ignorant.

4236 So whatever thing you are given, that is only a provision of this world's life, and what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who believe and rely on their Lord.
4237 And those who. shun the great sins and indecencies, and whenever they are angry they forgive.
4238 And those who respond to their Lord and keep up prayer, and their rule is to take counsel among themselves, and who spend out of what We have given them.
4239 And those who, when great wrong afflicts them, defend themselves.
4240 And the recompense of evil is punishment like it, but whoever forgives and amends, he shall have his reward from Allah; surely He does not love the unjust.
4241 And whoever defends himself after his being oppressed, these it is against whom there is no way (to blame).
4242 The way (to blame) is only against those who oppress men and revolt in the earth unjustly; these shall have a painful punishment.
4243 And whoever is patient and forgiving, these most surely are actions due to courage.

To add with andy's nice collection...

4514 Tell those who believe, to forgive those who do not look forward to the Days of God. It is for Him to recompense each people according to what they have earned.

            Peace be upon you

Other than these verses there is the story of Joseph in which Jacob forgives his sons and Joseph forgives his brothers.

              Salam honor, all,

Does anyone know any surahs in the Quran speaking of forgiveness? Forgiveness for others, and or clearing your heart, thinking the best of someone?

Speaking of forgiveness for others or more precisely asking fogiveness for others, make sure it does not apply to the disbelievers. My understanding of the Quranic wisdom, is that Believers in God the All-Mighty and HIS revelation the Quran (not considering one part and omitting the other part in the name of humanity-)), are commanded to NOT ask forgiveness for the disbelievers (if proven to be disbelievers of course). The story of Abraham and his father is clear as water.
              Peace. Myr.

                Peace

Indeed Myr. Jibreel also mentions elsewhere this wrong in which we should not emulate Abraham . These narrations should help in the application of different subjects.

One's repentence with God for forgiveness you can check in some of the ayatin I have written below.

                How repentence works 3/89; 4/17-18; 11/3; 16/119; 27/11

                Joe
