      Peace Taj,

      You stated

I don't see any contradiction here. The Ayah clearly saysAnd from water we made all living things. Would they not believe?
"From" is "Min" in Arabic. It indicates meaning being part of something.
What is water? It is H2O.
The jinn are made from water because they can very well be made from Hyrogen only or Oxygen only, or combined with other elements. I would guess it is Hyrogen.

      http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrogen

If it's hydrogen only, or oxygen only, then it doesn't come from (min) water, since both exist in isolation from each other in the atmosphere.

      Peace,
      Tay

        Peace,

To have children with us, they must have DNA, which is mass. That is why i don't believe that jinn has the same meaning everywhere. Sometimes it refers to emotions, as the 'jinn made out of fire' verses are always connected with the 'humans are from clay' verses, which shows to me, that only these jinns are like 'fire'. Soemtimes jinn refers to humans, sometimes to legends, made up idols, angels, forces of nature, ancestors. It depends on the context. The 'energy beings' can also fall under the term jinn, but i don't believe jinn is used as a title only refering to the 'energy beings'(if they excist), but is a global term as 'walking being'. There are to many verses which doesn't fit with the 'energy beings' concept.

          Peace,

Yes, but not in the same structure as with human beings which is needed for DNA exchange and unification.

I meant to say that it has to be something that is part of water if not completely water.

                Peace be upon you all,

Jinn are the thoughts and images which are HIDDEN from sight.

                This message is about US.

What guidance can be found in stories about "invisible ghosts" that we never come in contact with?

                  Salaam Nabster,

I disagree with the term "confused muslims" above just because someone does not understand the quran in a different perspective than mine. I don't see them as "confused" at all. For me personally, the perfect understanding belongs to The God and Him Alone. A lot of people are here to learn and explore ideas. Kyle (IdolFree1) is one of such people, just read all his past posts and you'll understand what I mean.

Besides, being confused has its benefits too. That way, we have the strong desire to learn more in order to stop that confusion. It'a all about growing in understanding really. Including understanding the "miracles" or "examples" mentioned in the quran.

                    Peace Nabster,

Whoever believes in God, and the last day, and contributes to society has nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve. Isn't that God's promise? I got news for you bro, not many of us here see eye to eye on more than a few topics. What we share is the joy of being free to express and explore ideas with each other, with no fear of being shut down or booted. If it's your attachment to miracles that has you leaving, know that there are quite a few members that believe as you do and have stuck around. It's the dynamic of different beliefs and perspectives that makes this place thought-provoking. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Anyway, if you gots to go, then you gots to go. But if you can rethink it, then your presence is welcome.

                    Peace,
                    Tay

                      Peace nabster

I urge you to not leave. We need as many minds as we can get for that is what leads to discussion which leads to new insights. Which brings me to my next point. No need to call certain people "confused muslims" brother. Like Tay said, it is rare for all of us to see eye to eye on an issue. Is this bad? Is it bad to discuss and learn from each other? Is it bad that we sometimes realize that others have different perspectives and experiences that color those viewpoints? We can all learn from each other. No need for knee-jerk reactions. Just an open mind and guidance from The God. So I urge you, stay with us and we will all learn from each other, except if God wills.

                      Remember this verse

"O you men! surely We have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other" 4913

Well I respond to you with Peace. Hopefully one day you will understand that religion is really about psychology, about behavior shaping, not stories of beings you will never encounter in your life.

You see miracles can give hope.
Besides, my discourse with you would be similar to one with a person who does not believe in God, I have been told how could I believe that there is such a being as a God who cares about little human affairs and who bothers to send prophets and messengers and who is so close to human affairs, many scientist colleagues ask me such questions, they consider belief in God itself, especially a God bothering to communicate with humans, and they never see as being superstitious and grossly naive. Now if I tell them about the Higher Signs in the Quran, they might call an ambulance to take me to a psychiatric ward. In fact you could be demoted if you get carried away talking about such matters in some scientific circles. For many scientists God's existence is like UFO conspiracy...
                                    Nabster

Your definitely and desperately need your Allah to help you out, not miracles. Perhaps HE chose the wrong "walking and talking quran". As far as I am concerned, I never said that I disbelieve in GOD and neither have I ever said that I disbelieve in Quran. Do you understand that? Perhaps not, because, as I mentioned earlier, you are not a "listening quran".

                                          Peace be upon you Nabster,

                                          Just an idea
Can water be fuel for a fire, no.
Maybe because of their different composition.

Jinn are made from fire. If you are trying to incorrectly use the verse that all beings are made from water, then that would men that humans (also made from water) won't burn either. So lets do away with that foolishness. )

I know you dont like to think symbolically, but I ask you to think about water, fire and clay. Think about the potter. It stars with soil, water must be added in order to form it and shape it, and heat applied to it makes it STIFF/unable to be formed and shaped.

Water is likened to revelation, that which softens the heart for change.

Anyway, we can revisit that in another thread.

As for those who believe in Jinns as being fantasies, of course the question does not even present itself...

Sure it does, it is the fantasies that one makes up that becomes thier beliefs and hardens them to any change, and this message is about CHANGE of behavior.

Allah said He will fill Gehenna with both Jinns and Innss, so it will be intesting and fitting that humans and stones will be the fuel that is used to also punish the jinns

inns and jinns are two parts of a whole, the visable and invisable parts of the same thing. But when the talk of being burned comes about, you cannot burn that which is not visable. Jinn seems to be replaced with STONE. Isnt it fire that hardens the clay? Just think about it.
