We are here to learn salt, life is not a punishment but a school.

lol first time i've heard that, i read somewhere we were suppose to be "God's Cops ".... (not had time to research on this subject yet- been too busy with too many other subjects).

This world is made for you, so start exploring it.

This world is a sh*t hole, what is there to explore?

There is more on this earth then just humans and their business, learn to see kid, learn to see that....

Scientific research may be some benefit for humanity but research takes too long, and the research it self is flawed in too many ways, a few years ago some boffins from Cambridge university were spending a long time doing research on the subject "Does hot water scold your hand", my 2 year old sister can tell you it does ). Any way too many scientists these days just want mess with nature and alter God's creations. They are doing more harm then good.

This is a personal observation which i hardly disagree with. You only see little bits of what certain people do, so you can only judge that.

There is no dust on the mirror except what we put on it our selves.

really? then what has a young child that is sexually abused by a pedophile done so bad to deserve that?

Oh, i know a lot of worst things i've seen around me with kids. These things show that the government cannot make a balanced society. People are not learned to get a balanced psyche and by thus commit those horrific crimes. These only drive me harder to spread the word of the Quran and the importance of knowing the psychology of your mind.

We are here to learn salt, life is not a punishment but a school

    learn what?

If life is like a 'school' then it's even more meaningless then I thought. I learnt nothing at school, i only turned up so my parents will not have to pay for the fine if i skipped school, i hated a lot of my teachers, a lot of the teachers did not want to teach, a lot of them gave work that was not on the curriculum, I had 3 different head teachers while I was at that school and they were all crap, the school rules were stupid, the rules about jewellery and having your own jacket on top of your uniform got me into trouble every lesson, my exam results won?t as good as what I was predicted to have, my school was put in "special measures" by the government coz it was so bad, the disciplinary measures were ridiculous you could probably get into more trouble not doing your homework then you can bullying someone and making their life miserable, a boy in my class was bullied for all the time he spent there, he even once tried to commit suicide, his bullies did not get in much trouble for it, at most they were excluded for a few days after four and a half years of making that boy suffer........... i can rant all day about school?. but life is not much better then that...

And if you have a "bad teacher" (i.e. a parent or a religious scholar) your gonna "fail the test" and your gonna suffer the consequences even though it is not your fault... And what does someone who died as a baby learn? What was the point of their existence?

For one, your 17, of course you hate school, plus they have a system that doesn't encourages you to learn. And you focus on the wrong teachers, God is your teacher, start paying attention. Over time you'll see what i mean...

....."Our Lord, You did not create all this in vain".....

According to my limited vision, the plan is strange, unjust, imperfect and pointless.

RK's "Why are we here" theory was an OK theory (even if it did make God sound like he had a big ego). It's a shame why you can't even get a good answer to why we are even in the Quran. This "serving God" idea is certainly not as 'straight forward' as it?s cracked out to be, when i say 'straight forward' i don't mean 'easy'- i have never expected it to be easy, I won?t say what I mean by not straight forward coz it?s a long, complex, hard to explain subject. I am a pessimistic person, I read in a psychology book that pessimistic people have a more realistic idea of the world then an optimistic person P.

No, you haven't read the message yet, doesn't mean it isn't in there. Sugar, you're 17 now, which is a confussing age, plus you're exploring Islam in a brave way. God doesn't need you, and God is not a bastard, so i know in the end we will understand, till then do your best to explore. Have patience....

No one on earth can give a 'good' explanation to why we were created ) The "everything happens for a reason" theory is just blind belief.

    peace,
    sugar

We are the ones who have more control then we think, but people ignore this responsibility and shuff it off on God. So a lot of things happen because we allow it. Why would God intervene, if He already gave us the power to do something about it? But you're 17!!!!haha, you see the world through those glasses. But mashallah, you are a wise young girl. Learn to be a powerfull woman, and learn the people! I really understand you, i have the same thing. I will quote a book that gave my feeling for God another boost, it is the book i mention in my story, The Silmarillion by Tolkien, the guy from Lord of the Rings. God is talking with the devil here

"Then Iluvatar(God) spoke, and He said 'Mighty are the Ainur(angels), and mightiest among them is Melkor(the devil); but that he may know, and all the Ainur, that I am Iluvatar, those things that ye have sung(created), I will show them forth, that ye may see what ye have done. And thou, Melkor, shalt see that no theme may be played that hath not its uttermost source in me, nor can any alter the music in my despite. For he that attempth this, shall prove but mine instrument in the devising of things more wonderfull, which he himself hath not imagined.'"

    Peace

      yeah

      i can't see anything else....

I just read agentxxx's thread i feel sick to my stomach! yuck

These things show that the government cannot make a balanced society.

It was god who gave them the power to do what they want ) The rest of us have to put up with the sh*t they put us through when the omnipotent god does nothing about it....

People are not learned to get a balanced psyche and by thus commit those horrific crimes.

      please elaborate... confused

These only drive me harder to spread the word of the Quran and the importance of knowing the psychology of your mind.

that's interesting, it has the opposite effect on me...

plus they have a system that doesn't encourages you to learn.

Arnold we litrally learned nothing at school, i learn more spending 20 minutes on the Internet then I did in a whole week at school and i aint joking either...

      God is your teacher

yeah but he misguides too many.... like me techers that never tought us what was on the carriculum...

No, you haven't read the message yet,

i've read it countless times and I can't find anything...

We are the ones who have more control then we think, but people ignore this responsibility and shuff it off on God.

      who's 'we'?

The government have the control, 'we' have no say...

So a lot of things happen because we allow it.

      yeah

Why would God intervene, if He already gave us the power to do something about it?

Again this 'us' is the government...

              peace sugar,

              arnold is right.
God has given you all the tools you need. God is inside you. Always there. You only need to rediscover it. God doesn't misguide people, they misguide themselves. If you are a grown person, no one is responsible for misguiding you but yourself.
The government does not control your beliefs. They can control your actions, but not your beliefs, or your thoughts.

phoenix put your glasses on the Quran tells us that God is the ONLY one who guides and misguides...

                verse 7/178

                Khalifa
Whomever GOD guides is the truly guided one, and whomever He commits to straying, these are the losers.

                Yusuf Ali
Whom God doth guide,- he is on the right path whom He rejects from His guidance,- such are the persons who perish.

                Pickthal
He whom Allah leadeth, he indeed is led aright, while he whom Allah sendeth astray - they indeed are losers.

                Shakir
Whomsoever Allah guides, he is the one who follows the right way; and whomsoever He causes to err, these are the losers.

                Sher Ali
He whom Allah guides, is on the right path. And they whom HE leaves in error, these it is who shall be the losers.

                "Progressive Muslims"
Whoever God guides, then he is the guided one; and whoever He misguides, then these are the losers.

                    Peace,

No i don't believe it is realistic, as pessimistic is a choice. And this choice is based on certain observations. The question now is
-was there already furtile ground for this pessimistic view so that you only pick up 'observations which leads to pessemistic thinking', and what i mean here, is that the mind filters things and chooses certain where the conciousness bases it's choices on.

-or is this pessimistic view truly based on objective observation.

Knowing a little bit about your situation, the struggle with your family, your age where in your mind and your body changes rapidly in short time periods. The i go for the first one. You will probably say the second one is more correct, but i have seen your posts and your story a bit so i'll stick with the first one.

As for God misguides, this is one of the biggest misunderstood verses, please read this article

                    Peace salt

this here blew up my mind! mashallah,i get what it means, allah swt created other beings reenforce them taught them things, then he "replaced" them, with human being, like adam which it was the "first"** ....but not like people who see it as a silly fairy tale, and created from clay and took a piece of rib and made the woman literally.it makes more sence this evolution thing, and before i was agaisnt it just to do the oposite of atheits who dont believe in allah swt, and what most religious people do,but i always had this thing, doubt, about men creation.

**.adam the first man?like maybe the human being was advanced to learn about God so he made him(adam) prophet and became the first man man,not like primitive animals, because man is an animal as per say a living thing that walk eats and sleeps but MORE than that, so that makes him superior.allah knows best

Dear asperin, i myself came to the same ideas a time ago. When our knowledge grows, we see that the Quran was already way ahead of us. We have to learn to let go of the fairytales one by one. Here is an article that explains exactly what you discovered yourself

I think this is supposed to be verse 7628

                          " "
If so, then this is not an accurate translation. But what does all this have to do with this thread?

                            Peace,

No my ex-wife was not sunni or even followed the Quran. After i discovered about Quran alone, she just stopped doing anything with it. She said she didn't need any book to guide her, which i respected. But our divorce was based on several things. We had a knowledge difference that created a wedge between us, as i couldn't share any thoughts with her, as she didn't understood them. She never read books or investigated, she had never finished school. First this didn't matter, but when you are longer together, such differences play a bigger role to be ignored. Love is something that must be fed like a flower, only in the first years it is there without any real need for food. So our different views became a wall. Also different intrests, and then also our differences on things about following the Quran. And also other things. Fighting for Quran alone is my mission, and it was to hard for me, to live with a person who rejected it. Also it was weird as she earlier really believed in it. We knew we couldn't nurture our love anylonger, and it was better to seperate now when we are still friends and respect each other. So we divorced really out of respect and love.

                            Thank you very much, brother.

I appreciate what you shared above as valuable input in finding suitable life partner.

Love is something that must be fed like a flower

Hmm... nice statement, but personally, I think that only Allah Who can grant true love between male and female (couple),

and I believe that without having faith in Allah, there is actually no true love between the couple, because I think those who don't have faith in Allah would even give their life partners to be exchanged for their safety (in the hereafter), if they could do it.

So, in my opinion, the eternal love is impossible without faith in Allah.

I think the ideal love is a "Triangle Love God (the Creator) - husband - wife".

                            https//s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/4f/eb/1c/4feb1c561d69c9f5c51ac5326a13af7f.gif

                            And I like this explanation

The diagram shows the relationships between a husband, wife, and God. Both the husband and wife have an individual relationship with God as well as a close relationship with each other. Notice that as the husband and wife grow closer to God, they actually draw closer to each other. This means that a vital part of a husband and wife?s relationship is their individual relationship with God. If one of the spouses is growing closer to God and the other is not, the triangle?s shape gets out of balance.
