    Peace sister Nadia,

Archeology and anthropology have always been a subject of extreme fascination for me from a very early age (ever since i saw indiana jones as a kid , no seriously i've really been into it since a very early age as my uncle is a geologist, it was awesome discussing theories and various histories with him whenever we met).

History was one of my interests until I realized that history is nothing more than the subjective opinion of the historians. My interest then shifted to archeology.

What started me on doing some more in depth research on pre-quranic archeology and linguistics is actually the subject that we were originally discussing, namely "salat". Based on the quran, I have reached conclusions that are totally different to the traditional view on matters such as "salat", "hajj", "kaaba", etc. (see http//www.free-minds.org/articles/gods_system/name.htm ). I was looking at the term "kaaba" in the quran and seeing that most (if not all) translators of the quran wrote it as the proper name Kaaba. However, the quran is logically precise so if what was meant is the proper name of a specific object then there is no more Kaaba because we know for a fact that the object has been destroyed and another object built in its place many times. In fact, the object that sectarians named Kaaba was most recently built in 1996. If we do not consider the term "kaaba" as a proper name and translate it, then we get a totally different view and the reality of what it really means becomes clear.

Now you may ask, what do you think the so-called Kaaba has to do with pre-quranic poetry?

The two are very much related because there are alleged pre-quranic poets that talk about the Kaaba, seemingly lending credability to the sectarian assertion that the term "kaaba" used in the quran is a pre-quranic term that is a proper name of an object and this is how it is used in the quran. It is also reported that poets such as Umru' Al-Qays and Antar ibn Shaddad had their poems hung on the Kaaba.

What researchers have concluded based on linguistic analysis is that the vast majority of so-called pre-quranic poetry is a later day fabrication. In my research I have come across some archeological evidence that confirms this. I am not sure if you are familiar with the most famous of the alleged Jahiliya poets who goes by the name of Umru' Al-Qays. A stone engraving called the "Namara inscription" dedicated to someone with that same exact name but dated to about 200 years before the poet is alleged to have lived have recently puzzled archeologists. I believe that I may have a possible explanation for such finding but I want to hear your opinion first.

The alleged pre-quranic Arabic poems were not actually written down until the eighth or ninth century. This is about the same time when Hadiths proliferated. What is becoming very clear from looking at all the evidence is that no people have fabricated as many lies and have distorted their history as much as the eighth to ninth century Sunnis have. As a result, we cannot even be exactly sure about when the prophet lived.

I wanted to get the book you mentioned as it's also mentioned with excerpts in the current one i have but can't seem to find it...would u be able to tell me where i might purchase one for myself?!? In eng, as i can't read arabic...tia!!

I was only able to find it in Egypt and only in Arabic. Maybe there is an English translation available that I don't know about.

    Peace and all best wishes,

    Ayman.
