I Want The Best English Translation Of The Quran.

Respectfully.Hi, since i got the poor Bosnian translation of the Quran and since they didn't do the best job on translating it as good as they should into Slovenian language, could someone tell me where can i buy The Best English Translation Of The Quran?

I can't speak for others, but for me the best translator of the Quran is myself.What I would recommend is downloading Lane's dictionary from http//studyquran.co.uk
Project Root List (in my opinion) is one of the best resources on the net,
also go to yaqb.org (also an EXCELLENT resource)
and openburhan.org. (very good site)
If you can get a hold of a copy of Hans Wehr's Arabic English Dictionary that is a good resource too. The definitions are the same as in Lanes for the most part but the definitions are summed up as opposed to Lane's method of using examples and phrases. I have found that when you use the two in combination it gives you a very good understanding of the words.To answer your question more specifically I don't know if there is an "best" translation out there. I guess if there was an accurately translated Quran we would not have so many discussions about the language....lol
I myself have a hardbound copy of The Holy Quran translated by Maulana Muhammad Ali.
But I rely on the arabic and the above listed links for my help in understanding. I don't advise blindly accepting one translation.Salam

I'd suggest that you browse through the different translations at the link provided by Arnab and see which one is clearest to you. That does not mean that the one you choose is the best and presents the ideas of the quran in the best light, it just means you can make sense of it.

Oops...LOL I have them in my favorites so I just click the link and I'm there so I guess I should have verified the links first.And as for Project Root List....That is a HUGE asset to the Muslim community and the promotion for learning the arabic language. I downloaded a copy of Lane's Dictionary and I don't know what I would do without it. I am writing this with the hope that people reading this will utilize the site. As it is probably one of the best resources for bringing one closer to an understanding of the Quran.

Alen, i use about 10 different translations next to translating the arabic myself. You can't stick to one, as all are but reflections of choices made by the translators...

I plan to do this as soon as I finish my translation from Muhammad Ali and Khalifa.
You can never do wrong with seeking truth and reading Quran over and over
