As salamu alaykum wr wb.
Respectfully.I need assistance of someone who speaks Arabic fluently.
Can you tell me what The God means in 5729 where it saysSo that the followers of the Scripture should know that they have no power over God's grace, and that all grace is in God's hand. He bestows it upon whomever He wills. God is Possessor of Infinite Grace. The thing in the bold.
God doesn't have a hand, right, but can someone who speaks Arabic better then me, tell me, what doe sit say in Arabic and maybe i'll understand it then. Thanks and may The Almighty God stops the war in the Middle East.

Salam Alen,
The word usually translated as "hand" (yad) can also mean "power, control or influence."If you consider the whole definition then the verse could read "Allah's power, control or influence."
On the other hand (no pun intended) the meaning could simply be "hand" in which case I would say at that it could be allegorical or the best way that we as simple human's can understand what is meant in the verse.Salam

I just think people should be careful when they translate Quran, they should write power or control instead of hand, it seems better to me.As salamu alaykum wr wb.
