    Salam Layth,

"He (Joseph) then said to the one to be saved 'Remember me at your lord.' Thus, the devil caused him to forget his Lord, and, consequently, he remained in prison a few more years." (1242)

In the story of Joseph, we see how a 'righteous' man, a Messenger, was left to spend years in-prison because he did not 'Remember' to implore GOD Alone!.

I have a great need now and I have been imploring God that he grant my request. So far, none yet.

You quoted 1242 on your article. Joseph didn't ask another god or saint, but another human being to help him.

I never implore Muhamad, Jesus or the Saints for help, but I do ask other people for help, specially in my time of need. And I thank God profusely and other people who helped me when I get the things I want (or not), and I always thank God for the daily blessings I receive. And I do devote my prayers to God alone.

Can I not implore and thank the people around me for help or assistance they give me? Is the "imploring God alone" concept this strict?

    Tony
