"Wouldn't eternal bliss get boring after a while?"

(read from a page from a book that contains the simpsons' "annoying questions to ask your teacher" thing. hilarious.)

      Hehe lol -)

Boredom comes only when one seeks a thrill, but bliss comes only after all seeking has ended and one is at terms with what one has found. - Semi inspired by osho.

So how can bliss be boring, at any point?

        Peace be upon you,

I am seeking eternal Peace, with periods of pleasure. If you think about it, everything we do is to seek that ending of PEACE. Take sex for example, its no good unless we get to that PEACEFUL, RELAXING ending. ;D

However, most peoples lives move from pleasure to pain, pain to pleasure.

All I want to do is replace the pain with peace.

I thought u were already there

Just teasing, but yes, it's the same thing for me. I sometimes wonder though if we can only get there if the pleasure as well is replaced by peace...meaning that detachment is the key and the question then would be what are we still here for ???

          Got me kyle ?

            peace Kyle,
            can you explain "eternity?"
Also, if what we do is only for the end, then what about "the journey is always better than the destination?"

Yes, too much pleasure is bad as well...clouds your reasoning. You might be in the act of sex and agree to whatever the other person is sating, or you might be drunk at the casino gambling your life away from the PLEASURE of these events. But the guide is to go from pleasure to peace to pleasure to peace. if your spoude is there, enjoy her/him, if they leave or die, be at peace. Pain serves no purpose, pleasure does serve a limited purpose.

The goal of life is happiness.

                  Peace be upon you Pheonix1,

                  can you explain "eternity?"

Eternity is right now ;D Energy/matter is neither created nor destroyed. We only have a concept called "time" because the ONE SUBSTANCE has taken shape as the many things in the world, thereby creating "space", which leads to "time". There is really only the eternal present.

Also, if what we do is only for the end, then what about "the journey is always better than the destination?"

By "end" I understand that to mean the EFFECT, so the END is always right now, for that which you have done already. Cause and effect is always happening. The death of the physical body is one of the major "effects" of this life, but its not the END of anything really, yuo will still have experience just like you do when you dream at night, without realizing you are sleep.

"Wouldn't eternal bliss get boring after a while?"

                    Salam.

Wouldn't the boredom be removed from Eternity?
Wouldn't the boredom be erased out of Paradise?

I mean, if the anger, sin, hate, poverty can be removed from The Heaven, then why not remove one more thing - boredom.

                    Salam.

I think bliss is just being happy with who you are and being who you are and as a result, growing .)

And you move from a state of being, to doing, to having. And repeat.

Can you make an article about how to reprogram ourselves? Or write a book and make a million lol

It's just not fair I only get snippets here and there from posts on the insights I really wish i could implement in my life... it would be cool if it were all written down in an article or something... you're probably super busy but you know what ... i think alot of ppl would benefit from it not just this forum community ! At least think about it

                          Peace Boost,

This was directed to brother Kyle, but I couldn't help responding to a part of it !

There is already a book out there which has various articles on how to reprogram ourselves. The author is not human though

                          Peace

I'm not too sure about this, but I think this union with the divine thing is one where the people continue to grow. I have my doubts however, because my memory is so bad that I have to keep reading things over and always take notes on just about every book I do read. I also think the new experience is somewhat unlike the learning (if you happen to learn) experience here in this Earth plane.
