Consider a partical moving with the speed of light on the base or on the vertical line of a right triangle. Its projection on the hypotinues of a triangle would be travelling faster than the speed of light.

You do not need to approach speed of light to travel a vast expanse...

According to string theory, the fabric of time and space can be traversed by sling-shooting through hyper dimensioins at the quantum level. This may be impossible for us humans unless we can isolate ourselves from the fabric of time and space somehow. As appropriated

      Salam.

We don't need to travel with the speed of light, we can just enter the wormhole or a black hole or a white hole and reach another part of the universe.

      Right?

      Peace.

yes that is what my understanding is... but again, to create a wormhole, you need to be able to isolate yourself from time-space to survive the "jump"

          Salam.

We don't need to create a wormhole on Earth and it would be dangerous to do so, cuz a wormhole would eventually eat the Earth.
I think there are many wormholes, white holes an dblack holes in our own universe.

          Peace.

            Hey Alen,
How do you plan to survive the jump through the wormhole ) that's the real question D

              Salam.

Jumping through the wormhole or any other such hole is nothing. The real question is, how would a person come back?
After you get sucked into the wormhole, you get somewhere and i assume that you can't just hitchhike your way back.
I think a person would have to stay there and research, look for good planets to survive and procreate.

              Peace.

                Hi Alen,
First off, if you study the physics involved, you will see that it's mostly theorized, yet you can see a certain truth in the equations.

A tear in the fabric of time-space involves phenomena at the quantum level. You cannot predict which part of the wormhole is stable and which not; (and which point is leading where...) just imagine the spacial and temporal distortions. At best, you'll reach the other side(s) torn to pieces jedi each piece possibly at a different point in time and space.

I would again like to quote

An understanding of the fabric of the universe itself... down to the fundamental partical or wave or string or whatever (I for sure do not know yet)

Exactly, heavens and hearth together signifies the universe in its entirity... but again, it says AQTAAR, which may also be translated as "confines", and this does not mean just gravitational confines.

The question is, how can you influence a fundamental particle/force of the universe (I am not talking about electrons/protols/quanta or even quarks here, but something even more fundamental, such as a string)...

If we, for a minute, assume that the fundamental particle of the universe is a string. Then, perhaps you need to be at an even purer (more fundamental) level than that to cause such an influence to tear through the fabric of time-space itself. It would not only require an ability to cause sting vibrations that are perhaps a billionth of the size of a quark, but you would also need an infinite amount of computational power to calculate/compute where to cause which vibration and with what amplitude and phase.

That is perhaps what the state (or hyper-form) of the authority is that God speaks of.

                              About your question

While space is an unpredictable place where a meteor/asteroid can come and hit you out of nowhere, my understanding on fiery projectiles, for those who listen to God, is not the same Yousuf Ali or Pikthal. I will quote QXP here

728 And we tried to feel the heaven but found it well attended by mighty guards and flames." (The shining Knowledge in the Qur?an dismisses all conjecture of the astrologers, fortune-tellers, and other claimants of occult sciences).

675 And indeed, We have beautified the sky of the world with shining lamps. And made them objects of futile guesses for the satans. (1517, 376-9, 72. And for them We have prepared the doom of blazing flames.

God is not confined to the heavens... he is closer to us than our Jugular Vein. We do not need to go to outer space to listen to Him.

Infact, space travel and "star trek" is predicted in the Quran

When the sky is unveiled (space sciences and travel begins)

When the sky is shattered/conquered (space sciences and travel begins)

                                Hi Maxi,

Interesting thought. I have heard that although sonar is slower than light, if the waves could be straightened, the result would be something a lot faster than light. But I do understand that it still will not be something fundamental.

Can I ask you something else that I was wondering? We know that photons do not have mass, but that gravity will affect anything that has mass. How come light from stars bends around planets (because of gravity) before it reaches us? Surely that means that photons do have some mass. Sorry, I didn't pay attention during science classes -[

                                Peace

                                Zak

no that has to do with the spacial warping around a body with a huge mass... such as a black hole. perhaps, it is also referring to the fact that around a black hole, the escape vilocity approaches the vilocity of light (or perhaps even exceeds it.)

That took me a bit of time to understand but I get it now light does not bend normally, although normality itself can be distorted by large mass objects, and consequentially, light is distorted in comparison to normality. Thanks for clearing that up.
