    Peace and greetings,

    Chapter 70.

3.From God, Possessor of the ascending portals.

4.The Angels and the Spirit ascent to Him in a day which is equivalent to fifty thousand years.

means "the ways of ascent/ ascention portals"

Ascention portals can be supposed as wormholes in the skies which are used by angels and the spirit to travel in the universe faster than the speed of light.

    Wormholes (Length Contraction)

Look up to the night sky and select a star as a destination. Can any human reach this star by just walking few steps?

General relativity explained a mechanism to contract this huge distance into few meters. Albert Einstein called this mechanism ?bridges? in space-time. Today, scientists call them wormholes. A wormhole would act as a shortcut connecting two distant regions in the universe.

    http//www.speed-light.info/speed_of_light/speed_of_light_fold.JPG

A wormhole contracts the distance between two doorways placed separately anywhere in the universe. Example, consider a galaxy 100 million light years away. When you look today from Earth to that galaxy, you will not see it as it is today, but rather as it was 100 million years ago. This is because light took 100 million years to travel all that distance. But if you take a journey inside a wormhole from Earth to that galaxy, you would reach that galaxy today. So when you reach it today, you will see it as it is today, not as it was 100 million years ago. So if you use a wormhole, events at that galaxy (your destination) would appear as if in fast forward (from 100 million years ago till today).

When you reach that galaxy today and look back at Earth, you would not see Earth as it is today; instead you would see Earth as it was 100 million years ago (you would see the dinosaurs). This is because light took 100 million years to reach there. So as you use a wormhole, events at Earth (your departure) would appear as if in fast rewind (from today till 100 million years ago).

On the return journey, events on Earth (destination) would appear as if in fast forward (from 100 million years ago till today); while the events at that galaxy (departure) would appear as if in fast rewind (from today till 100 million years ago). This is not time travel; this is just a consequence of the length contraction inside a wormhole.

Scientists know how a wormhole works but have never actually used one. Do you remember how a frictionless roller coaster works? That is, you start high and slow then you go down and fast but when you come back up again to the previous height you return to your previous slow speed? Well, the wormhole is the most efficient roller coaster you can imagine. Energy is not required to move through the wormhole, that is, you can simply switch off your rockets. Gravity accelerates you and pulls you through and then expels you the other side. You will feel like being swept by waves at the beach and nothing more.

On your way through, gravity causes your clock to run slower and your ruler to shrink. Distant observers see you accelerating to relativistic speeds; as a result, your energy (and mass) increase dramatically in their view; but when you get out the other side everything returns back to normal (your clock, ruler...).

Any object passing through this wormhole will also experience this same time dilation (one day inside wormhole vs. 50,000 years on Earth) and not just those angels. This time dilation does not say how long it takes you to cross the wormhole, it just says that when you pass through the wormhole you age by this ratio.

God says that those wormholes are doors in the heaven that contract interstellar distances into walking distances; the resulting scenery is bizarre God says that those who do not believe in the message will not believe it even if He showed them a bigger sign. He created beautiful towering structures in the heavens. If He opens for those nonbelievers a door in heaven and lets them continue passing through it to those distant structures, they would not believe that they really got there by simply walking few steps. Instead they would think that they are just optical illusions

    Chapter 15

13.They do not believe in it, while the examples of the early generations has been brought to them.

    1. And if We opened for them a gate in the heaven and they were to continue ascending to it,

    2. They would have said ?Our sight has been fogged. No, we are a people who are being bewitched!?

    3. And We have placed towers in the heavens and We have made them pleasant to the onlookers.

    4. And We have guarded them from every outcast devil.

    5. Except he who manages to eavesdrop, he will be pursued clearly by a flaming meteor.

Here, they wouldn?t believe their own eyes thinking that what they see is not real. They wouldn?t believe that they got to those heavenly structures by simply walking few steps. But God insists that what they see is real and not illusions (that is, they really got there).

The Quran says that those heavenly doors are galactic shortcuts to distant places in the universe. Angels guard those heavenly doors 'from every outcast devil". Angels can accelerate up to the speed of light for domestic travel; but they use these wormholes to reach any place in the universe before you finish reading this sentence.

      Peace "abrar",
See thts the scientiic approach. Muslims used it be4 and therefore they prospered. You see now how wonderful the Quran can be if you dont use hadith to interpret it? When ppl started to believe in hadith and defended stupid things like fly to be dipped in the vessel completely, camel urine, killing of apostates, STONING for various crimes(comes from OT), etc, then probs arise. GOD Bless!

        Salam.

        Excellent post, brother Abrar.
I'm also fascinated by the science and wormholes have always interested me.

        Peace.

What does wormholes have to do with our spiritual guidance?
Most people (including myself) don't even have a clear idea of what wormholes are.

This could be a possible explanation, but I'm pretty sure that the verses are talking about something else.

And all of this depends on the idea that there is such a thing called "angels." And I don't think there is.

We love scientific explanations, but we very conveniently forget the most basic and important aspect of science.
Where exactly is the evidence for the existence of "angels?"

What does wormholes have to do with our spiritual guidance?

JK- Phoenix, phoenix your drifting off pal. Never go away from science. When i hear u use the word spiritual i can tell ur beginning to get influenced by superstition. This is the absurdity of the clergies wich has made a mockery of GOD. GOD has created the entire world and He wants us to use out brain go into outer space even with His permission and do reserach, as a result praising Him. Thus the Quran mtivates us to become real scientists all of us coopertaing with each other. All this paranormal bullcrap is giving me a headache and spirituality is a nonsensible term in my view if taken in its traditional meaning.

Most people (including myself) don't even have a clear idea of what wormholes are.

JK- Thts why the Quran guides you to what it is and now your motivated to go on an exciting journey to outer space but this can only be done if we quit believing in nonsensible superstitions.

This could be a possible explanation, but I'm pretty sure that the verses are talking about something else.

JK- What i eblieve is 99.9% clear is tht the verses talking abt time dilation, relativity. But the other term which the bro explained cld very well refer to wormholes as well.

And all of this depends on the idea that there is such a thing called "angels." And I don't think there is.

JK- "angels" is more of a mythical term. actually it means "messengers" coming from "angelos" but the Quran already has a term for messengers i.e. "rasul". "malak" can mean "forces of nature" BUT i believe they are "intelligent forces". Thus "malaika" are "intelligent beings" and they are made from a type of fire(iblees whilst still a malak answers GOD tht he didnt sajda(commit himself to service) to adam becaue he was made from "naari samoom(a type of fire from a scorching wind, maybe plasma or a volcanic planet from lava material)" whilst adam from clay. This indicates that at least some angels(if there are groups) are made from naari samoom and those are those which evolved into jinn.

We love scientific explanations, but we very conveniently forget the most basic and important aspect of science.
Where exactly is the evidence for the existence of "angels?"

JK- You forget that much of science is inference. This is very important. With available data we can infer things. There have been a lot of documentary scietific movies how life could evolve on different planets and also how creatures on earth might look in the future. This is very much part of science. GOD Bless!

No, I'm not drifting away from science. By 'spiritual', I don't mean 'superstitious', I mean 'regarding our SELVES.' Our goal is to purify ourselves (or our souls, spirits, etc). And I believe that is what the quran is helping us do.
The quran is not a science text book. It's not there to tell us about black holes and supernovas and stems cells. It's there to help us realize the reality and live according to it so that we may prosper. Wormholes has nothing to do with that. The quran may contain scientific facts (or even 'miracles&#039 but that's not the main message. I do not think the quran would tell us about something just for the sake of scientific knowledge which we may not even fully understand.

JK- What i eblieve is 99.9% clear is tht the verses talking abt time dilation, relativity. But the other term which the bro explained cld very well refer to wormholes as well.

again, how does time dilation help me become a better person? how do i use that 'knowledge?'

JK- "angels" is more of a mythical term. actually it means "messengers" coming from "angelos" but the Quran already has a term for messengers i.e. "rasul". THIS is superstition, isn't it? forces of nature makes sense, but i don't get how you get to the conclusion of invisible intelligent beings that trek accross space carrying messages. We have no evidence of these beings, so according to 1736, we cannot believe in them.

JK- You forget that much of science is inference. This is very important. With available data we can infer things. yes, but there needs to be some evidence. We cannot believe something just because we want to. We can predict things and infer things based on what we have observed. We have never observed angels or anything like them.
the basic idea of science is to test ideas to make sure if they are true or not. Ideas that cannot be tested cannot be trusted.

                Peace, phoenix1 and all...

Now while I agree that the word "angel(s)" is NOT the correct translation for "malaika" , I was wondering if you could give us your opinion about the following

1- Who/what the two "guests" of Abraham were. If you tell me that they were human messengers sent to inform Abraham about the coming doom of Lot's people, I will tell you

Abraham himself was a messenger of God, wasn't he? Does it make sense that God would send a messenger to a messenger?.

2- The Quran tells us that Mary, mother of Jesus, was visited by the Spirit ( MASCULINE "ruuh&quot who appeared to her in the form of a man, and informed her that she would soon bear a child.

Could it be that God employs "controlling forces" (CF) to do His bidding all over the universe? Could it be that there are CF that govern the winds, others that take the souls of the departed, others that record the deeds of each and every person, others that intervene and protect people at certain times, etc...

Could it be that these CF can sometiems assume human form?

                Thanx and peace to all...

                  peace Pazuzu,
I'm not doubting that there is such a thing as "malaika" (does the word mean "controllers" or "controlling forces?&quot. We need to have a verifiable explanation for that word. Although I havn't checked the verses to see if it fits or not, "controlling forces" (what are these forces?) or anything that is in control of something sounds like a reasonable explanation.
Beings with wings (and halos?) that fly around space isn't a scientific translation at all. And we need a scientific explanation (one we can verify). Using scientific jargon to explain mythology doesn't make it a fact.

Abraham himself was a messenger of God, wasn't he? Does it make sense that God would send a messenger to a messenger?.

How does the message of God get to the human messenger? it may have something to do with the mind.

2- The Quran tells us that Mary, mother of Jesus, was visited by the Spirit ( MASCULINE "ruuh&quot who appeared to her in the form of a man, and informed her that she would soon bear a child.

the word malaika is not in the verse?
well, then why are we discussing it here? spirits are parts of humans, so it must have been a man that came to Mary. There is no reason to conclude that there are invisible beings that take the form of humans.

....spirits are parts of humans, so it must have been a man that came to Mary

I agree with you , but not completely. There is no such thing as "spiritS" ( in the plural form ). There is only ONE spirit. This one spirit is the thing that God gave to man that made him superior to all other beings on the planet. This is my understanding of the "human spirit". In the reading, the term "spirit" is masculine, and always appears in singular (never plural).

Could it be that many people tend to confuse "spirit" (ruuh) with "soul" (nafs)??

The word "soul" (nafs) in the Reading is feminin, and can be plural (noufoos).

                    This is my understanding.

The soul is always associated with life/death. When we sleep, our souls actually depart temporarily. This is why sleep is somewhat similar to death.

The spirit has nothing to do with life and death, but is always used in the context of knowledge , learning , and inspiration. This is what the Reading tells us about Muhammad, and how he received the Spirit - the inspiration to speak the words of the Quran.

I think that ruuh and nafs are two different things. People do confuse the two because "nafs" is usually translated as "spirit." And spirit and soul are pretty similar things. We need to translated "ruuh" differently. We need to get to the bottom of what ruuh is, exactly.

Anyway, you are right that knowledge helps us understand God, but the quran doesn't really give us knowledge, but tells us to find it and tells us how. It doesn't make much sense that the quran contains time dilation but ignores much more important pieces of information that affects us (or affected people in the past) on a daily basis. Why not tell us which foods are healthy and which are not? do you get my point?

It doesn't make much sense that the quran contains time dilation but ignores much more important pieces of information that affects us (or affected people in the past) on a daily basis. Why not tell us which foods are healthy and which are not? do you get my point?

JK- Whos aid that the Quran ignored other important issues? It does contain other important isssues besides this ofcourse but this is extra knowledge and why should it not contain this also? GOD Bless!

there are many things that the quran doesn't discuss that would be helpful to us. time dilation is one of those things that does not affect anyone and no one cares about it. it is completely irrelevant to our everyday reality. it might help you better appreciate the design of this universe, but there are thousands of other more obvious examples.
So I don't think the quran is talking about time dilation at all. And if it was, why doesn't the quran state these scientific facts clearly and in a straight forward manner? I know that the world book encyclopedia explains time dilation much better than the quran does.
And you can't say that these scientific facts are there as proof that the quran is from god. Because that isn't proof. The quran never even mentions something similar to time dilation. For all we know, it could be talking about anything. And there are many books and scriptures from the past that can be made to look divine. Did Nostradamus really predict 9/11? no. But there are people who interpret his words to mean that. The same can be said of the Quran.
I don't think there is any room in the quran for these scientific miracles, but I am staying open to this interpretation for now. But whether there are any scientific miracles in the quran or not, they are not important to it's message and the moral lessons which are found in its parables. And that message needs to be verified. Only through verification can we conclude that this is the truth. Not through the finding of scientific miracles.
