who is Abu Lahab? I think he was in some of the Sunni's ahadith, but why would God reveal an entire chapter condemning one man to hell? I see the wisdom behind this chapter is that it is giving us an example that no matter what you materially own it will not help you in the next life, but is there another message behind it I am not seeing? what is the literal translation of Abu-Lahab? is it an actual name or a description?
Condemned is the hand of Abu-Lahab; condemned indeed.
His money will not avail him, nor what he has earned.
He will be sent to a flaming Fire.
And his wife who carries the logs.
On her neck will be a rope of thorns. (1111-5)peace
