Please read this booklet by Ahmed Deedat although he changed his mind and nobody knows why. But those are truth and fact. God made Quran easy to understand please do not make it difficult.

              Peace,
              Respectfully.

I believe and think that since no human, no jinn, not angel not even satan has ever claimed to be the author of The Quran, that not only God exists, but God is Truly AllPowerful that if any human, jinn, angel or satan tried to claim that he or she wrote The Quran, helped, s/he or it would be punished.

              God knows best.
              Glory be to our God,
              God bless you all.
              Peace.

How can we prove that The Qur'an is the word of God?

The amount of people who have believed in the Divine authorship of the Qur?an since its revelation 14 centuries ago amounts to billions. In the face of such a consensus, especially when considered that each affirmation corroborates the others while negations or denials add nothing to each other, it falls upon those who reject the Divine authorship of the Qur?an to prove their negation, which is impossible. However, in order to remove the dust of doubt that may come to the hearts and minds of some believers under the influence of both modern trends of scepticism and atheism and followers of other religions, we shall mention only a few of the evidences to establish that the Qur?an is a word of God.

I find it amusing that the large number of followers of Islam is used as evidence for the Quran. The fact that there are more Christians in the world than Muslims should then mean that the Bible is the inspired word of God until proven otherwise. I don't think the number of fallible humans who believe something makes their belief anymore likely. There was a time when the majority believed that the earth was flat.

The Qur?an is completely different from all the other books in the world.

When we study the Qur?an even superficially from the viewpoint of its wording, styles, and meaning, we will certainly conclude that it is completely different from all the other books in the world. So, in rank and worth it is either below all of them?even Satan cannot claim this, nor does he conceive of it?or above them. Since it is above all of them, it must be the Word of God.

The Qur?an, which he brought, has challenged all mankind with all their literary geniuses and scientists, from the first day of its revelation to the Last Day, to produce a like of it or even a single chapter of it

                The Qur?an openly declares

You (O Muhammad) was not a reader of any Scripture before it, nor did you write (such a Scripture) with your right hand, for then those who follow falsehood might (have a right) to doubt it. (al-Ankabut, 29.4

It is an established, undeniable fact that the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings, was unlettered. Whereas the Qur?an, which he brought, has challenged all mankind with all their literary geniuses and scientists, from the first day of its revelation to the Last Day, to produce a like of it or even a single chapter of it

If you are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down onto Our servant (Muhammad), then produce a chapter of the like thereof, and call your witnesses, supporters, who are apart from God, if you are truthful. (al-Baqara, 2.23)

Mankind have since been unable to produce a like of only one of its chapters, including, of course, its shortest ones like sura al-Ikhlas or sura al-Kawthar; those who have ventured to do that have all laid themselves open to ridicule. This is a clear proof for the Divine authorship of the Qur?an.

This is one of the reason I believe the Quran is the work of a rather simple minded individual. I wouldn't expect God to use such flawed arguments in support of the book he has supposedly authored. What does it mean exactly when the Quran says "a surah like it"? The author of the Quran fails to provide the conditions of the challenge, and a means to judge whether the challenge has been met. In the end all it comes down to is subjective opinion on whether the challenger had been able to produce "a surah like it". If the author is really God he should be able to come up with a better argument for the Quran's authenticity.

The Qur?an was revealed in 23 years, yet there are not any contradictory points in it.

The revelation of the Qur?an lasted 23 years. It is inconceivable that any book written by a mortal being in 23 years, one which is a book of Divine truths, metaphysics, religious beliefs and worship, prayer, law and morality, a book fully describing the other life, a book of psychology, sociology, epistemology, and history, and a book containing scientific facts and the principles of a happy life, does not have any contradictory points. Whereas, the Qur?an openly declares that it has no contradictions at all and therefore is a Divine Book
Will they not then ponder on the Qur?an? If it had been from other than God they would have found therein much contradiction and incongruity. (al-Nisa?, 4.82)

There are verses in the Quran that can be interpreted as contradicting others.

The Qur?an is beyond compare from the viewpoint of its styles and eloquence.

The Qur?an is beyond compare from the viewpoint of its styles and eloquence. All the sentences, words and even letters used in the Qur?an form such a miraculous harmony that, with respect to rhythm, music, and even geometric proportions and mathematical measures, and with respect to how many times each is used in the whole of the Qur?an, each is in the exact place it must be and interwoven and interrelated with others. The literary masterpiece of no one, including the sayings of the Prophet himself, upon him be peace and blessings, cannot compete with the Qur?an.

Prophet Muhammad was unlettered and no one had heard him say even a couple of poetry. However, the Qur?an also challenged the known experts in poetry and oratory and forced them to surrender.

I don't quite understand why being unable to read or write makes it so difficult for an individual to come up with descent poetry. All you need is an ability to speak the language well, the scribes can do the writing for you.

No one has ever been heard to be bored with the recitation of the Qur?an.

I found this bit quite funny. I suppose thats why a lot of young Muslims have the latests songs downloaded onto their MP3s, but not the Quran.

To claim that Muhammad?God forbid such a thought!? invented the Qur?an means that Muhammad, who was known as Muhammad the Trustworthy, was?we beg forgiveness for having to narrate such a false claim?the greatest liar and cheat history has ever known.

As was explained earlier, the Prophet lived a very austere life and never pursued any worldly gains or aims like fame, rulership, wealth and having beautiful women. Furthermore, he had to resist hardships and persecutions of the severest kind. To claim that Muhammad?God forbid such a thought!? invented the Qur?an means that Muhammad, who was known as Muhammad the Trustworthy, was?we beg forgiveness for having to narrate such a false claim? the greatest liar and cheat history has ever known. What might have caused him to falsely claim Prophethood despite the severest of deprivations and persecutions? To accuse the Prophet Muhammad of falsely claiming Prophethood and attribute the Qur?an to him, is the most groundless and the most degrading and meanest of accusations.

I'm sure their have been greater liars or maybe he was just deluded. People before and after Muhammed have claimed to be prophets; Joseph Smith, Guru Nanak, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, etc. All three of them have millions of followers yet teach contradicting doctrines, which goes to show that human beings are capable of believing anything.

Although other Prophets like Moses and Jesus are mentioned many times in the Qur?an despite the Jews? and Christians? denial of Muhammad, we come across the name Muhammad only four times

The Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings, saw much resistance from the Jews and Christians. He had to fight against the Jews of Madina several times and expel them from the city. Despite this, the Qur?an mentions the Prophet Moses, the Prophet sent to the Israelites, about 500 times, while the name of Muhammad is mentioned in the Qur?an only four times. The Qur?an also mentions the Prophet Jesus many times. Is it conceivable that one who falsely claims Prophethood ever mentions the Prophets of the peoples who show him great hostility?

Or maybe he name dropped Moses and Jesus a lot to make his new religion more attractive to Jews and Christians.

The Qur?an?s mention of previous Prophets, including especially Moses and Jesus, upon them be peace, and the Christians? and Jews? denial of Muhammad?s Prophethood and the Divine authorship of the Qur?an, is an undeniable proof of the Prophethood of Muhammad and the Divine authorship of the Qur?an and that the Christians? and Jews? denial comes from purely false reasons like jealousy, prejudice and selfishness.

I highly doubt Christians and Jews actually want to go to hell. They sincerely believe that their religion is true just like Muslims do. Saying that they're jealous or whatever is just plain stupid.

It is another argument for the Divine authorship of the Qur?an that it refers to certain facts of creation recently established by modern scientific methods. How, except on account of its Divine authorship, is it possible for the Qur?an to be literally true on matters of which people had not the least inkling at the time when it was revealed? For example, if the Qur?an were not a Divine Revelation, would it have been possible for it to contain such a verse as this Do not the unbelievers realize that the heavens and the earth were one unit of creation before we split them asunder? (al-Anbiya?, 21.20).

Whether the Qur?an really does refer, explicitly or implicitly, to the kinds of facts the sciences deal with, and the relationship between the Qur?an and modern sciences, are matters of considerable controversy among Muslim intellectuals. We should therefore treat the subject at length.

That verse is far too vague and tells us nothing.

Islam has overtaken Catholicism, not Christianity.

                    From your second link

However Christians as a whole, including Catholics, Orthodox, Protestants and Anglicans make up 33 per cent of the world population.

You expect God to explain to you in detail what each and every surah stands for and then explain how it?s been relevant throughout all times then how its stands out from the rest of the words and then ask you to believe in Him ) Why don?t you explain to God what better ideas He could have used ! maybe this will help you to expose more of the tricks used in the Qur'an hmm

Finally btw. even if it?s the quality rather than the quantity that counts in Islam this is still the fasted growing religion of the modern world despite all the negative publicity thrown at it.voodoo

Actually yes I would like god if he exists to explain all these things in detail to me, preferably in person. Back when I prayed I did ask for explanations, but got nothing.

I don't think I'm any good at writing poetry or good prose, but I have read plays and poetry written by other individuals and I preferred it to the Quran.

Or maybe you did not bother to find out that Mohammad never wanted the Jews or the Christians to abandon their faith.

He defiantly wanted them to accept the Quran though didn't he and by default that he was prophet of god. He probably realised that mentioning individuals like Moses would make his new religion more appealing to Jews and Christians.

Mostly due to the large numbers of children Muslims tend to have.

                            Peace WayFinder,

You are falling in a logical fallacy! The burden of proof is on the one making a positive claim, and not proving its negative.

Even in al-qur'an, God does not ask us to "know"/"3lima" that God exists, but to "believe/trust"/"aamana" in God. This is part of the test. If God had given concrete proof of His existence in this life, then there would be no test anymore! There are however hints and signs all over the universe that point to the fact that God exists and that there can only be one God. Suggested starting point would be study of particle physics and quantum mechanics, human anatomy and physiology and biochemistry, and a solid understanding of statistics and laws of probability

                                Peace WayFinder,

Just to add to what I said above, whenever confronted with someone who does not believe in existence of God, ask him/her how the universe came to existence, i.e. make a positive statement, and then ask for proof of that positive statement because then the burden of proof is on him/her. That will be the proper way to do it and this way of thinking will eventually lead that person to the truth. For example, if someone says the universe came into existence by random chance, then the burden of proof is on that person to prove that it occurred by random chance. When that person will try to get a proof of that positive statement, he/she will not be able to find any proof of that positive statement and will eventually conclude that it is not true. Then he/she will be forced to make another positive hypothesis, for example the universe was created by multiple gods, and then the burden of proof will be again on that person to prove that positive hypothesis. Eventually all the possibilities other than one God will be ruled out and the eventual conclusion will be that the universe could only have been created by One Higher Power.

The other avenue of thinking is that believing in God is less risky than not believing in God. The prudent logical person will come to the conclusion that if there is no God and the person dies then nothing to worry about but if there is a God then there is a problem! So it is less risky to believe in a God than not to believe in God.

When pursuing these avenues of thought the sincere person will study everything out there including the words of God and science etc. and will eventually be forced to conclude that there is one God and that it is safer to believe in God!

                                  Salaam,
Thanks for the tips. They are really helpful. May I ask what a positive statement is? This is the definition I got on the internet
Positive statements are statements of facts based on data which can be proved right or wrong.

But I don't get how does that place the burden of proof on the other person?

Actually yes I would like god if he exists to explain all these things in detail to me, preferably in person. Back when I prayed I did ask for explanations, but got nothing.

                                    .

                                    Salaam

Well I see someone seeking explanations in search of God and, if you are seriously looking for God, you would find all your answers including why back when you asked for an "explanation" you did not get it then and there ...Patience is one requirement and if you lack patience you cannot expect God to be patient with you.

I don't think I'm any good at writing poetry or good prose, but I have read plays and poetry written by other individuals and I preferred it to the Quran.

It?s good to know you enjoy plays and poetry; I would say life itself is a big play on a bigger stage. It may be good to sit back and see your part in your own life play itself out and then assess what role you would like to play. This may help you to come up with a plan of your own and then you would not say I am no good at writing and maybe then you would think differently.

He defiantly wanted them to accept the Quran though didn't he and by default that he was prophet of god. He probably realised that mentioning individuals like Moses would make his new religion more appealing to Jews and Christians.

What is wrong with saying positive things about others people?s faith? Making positive remarks about others does not necessarily mean you have an ulterior motive to force your views on others ...Start thinking in a positive manner and you may see things from a different point of view.

Mostly due to the large numbers of children Muslims tend to have.

This is one factor but I was talking about ?fastest growing religion? in terms of the number of reverts attracted to the teaching of Qur?an. Most converts were taken aback by the beauty of the Qur?an, whereas many born Muslims, who have lots of Muslim relatives, including lots of children, have been unable to grasp the teachings of the Qur?an. With those Islam has shrunk rather than grown.
                                    Good luck sun

                                      Peace aalmakto,

By positive statement, I mean a statement which does not contain a negative. For example

                                      A. Iraq has weapons of mass destruction ---> positive statement
                                      B. Iraq does not have weapons of mass desruction ---> negative statement

Burden of proof is on the one who claims A, not on one who claims B.

                                      A. Martians exist ---> positive statement
                                      B. Martians do not exist ---> negative statement.

Burden of proof is on the one who claims A, not on one who claims B.

                                      A. 80 foot humans and flying horses exist.
                                      B. 80 foot humans and flying horses do not exist.

Burden of proof is on the one who claims A, not on one who claims B.

                                      A. Universe came into existence by random chance.
                                      B. Universe did not come into existence by random chance.

Burden of proof is on the one who claims A, not on one who claims B.

                                      Hope that helped.

How about the scientific miracles in the Quran? Muhammad couldn't have known that much about science considering that he was uneducated and lived way before such discoveries were made.

                                          Peace

OK Bubbles... You seem to be a fascinating guy.... So... you want proof that God does exist...

                                          then..

JUST PROVE ME THAT GOD DOES NOT EXIST.

                                          Firstly I'm not a guy
Secondly I never said that god does not exist, I don't know if he does or not. I merely lack belief in god and until I get some kind of evidence for a god, his existence will be as likely to me as that of unicorns or leprechauns since you cannot disprove them either.

Tell me who gave you life... and what makes your heart beat on and on....

Have a look at this http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_conduction_system_of_the_heart
