I think there should be a group of Free-minds in Facebook and Organize it nicely. I can help to do so. ....It will generate many members and it has a very good system for social networking.

Supernaut, my comment was tongue in cheek. My point was that if you simply wanted to have an active group, just become active in the already existing Quran Alone group and invite people to that etc. Seems a more efficient way of doing things.
Simply creating more groups is not the best way to go in my opinion. In fact, one could argue it is detrimental.
Shamsul, a free-minds facebook group is an ok idea, but I'm not a big fan of yet more groups and talking shops.
The only group I'd like to see form is Our views are irrelevant, let's become active in betterment for everyone

That does seem like the smarter thing to do except many of my friends on facebook would probably never join that group. Many of them are very indifferent towards islam. I knew there'd be a chance they'd join an islamic community if I created one for them because it'd seem familiar to them.

well....Hizb-ut and many other groups are very active in facebook... and FB is a community of millions of members. It has a very good networking system which controls spamming very well. Many young ppl are now desperate to see some alternative message which gives hope towards betterment but I think FM is not reaching to these people. If facebook can offer that opportunity to reach thousands of ppl than why not take that chance....??

Yes. There are a lot of good "free thinking" groups on facebook. A lot of groups promoting positive messages. I try to join them all, even if I'm not active.
But recently I've joined too many conspiracy theory groups and they keep sending me these messages. It's getting very annoying.
