    Peace
Am Soraya..from Mauritius..a tiny island from Indian Ocean
Most people in my country are Sunni Traditionalists and frankly I were getting fed up of hearing this and that is haraam.am really happy to have joined this forum..and I feel as though we all think the same way..Mashah Allah..

Am glad that all topics Quran,Hadith, Science, Economy, politics, music, poems, moviezz,History Archeology and even Matrimony;-) to mention a few are indeed discussed here..Mashah Allah..and this shows that Islam are not restricted only to salaats but we live with Islam..
1 more important issue is that there is no harsh rule concerning the different practice..We All are Submitters are of ONE Faith..WE do not judge..infact we help others who are in need..

Basically if u have any question abt me.feel free to ask..

    Normally am a nice person

        Peace Soraya welcome bravo

I hope you will enjoy being here, and never stop searching for the truth. Because Islam is a life-long journey and path we always must stay loyal to. You have come a long way in your journey but still it is just the beginning for you.
However, your greatest spiritual battle is won. The rest of the journey will be easier, much easier. The river of faith has started to float downwards and is not far away from new destinations. The new treasures of faith are near.
As i have said to other people here; At first many new things may seem alien and strange to you like for example salaat, fasting, Hajj etc, but whenever you get stuck as God to show you the way. And be patient Soraya. Because Patience is the key to all spiritual enlightment, to all happiness and all success in life. It takes time to find gold for a gold-digger. And by golddigger i don't mean the american version (anna nicole smith) where some women search for men that are rich. lol I am talking about the patient and hardworking gold diggers that never give up and search until they have found what they are looking for, until they have found their gold. They will sometimes search for months, and even for years to find gold in the fields. Patience is the wings that help us fly to new destinations and grow further in life. Thats exactly why it takes time for a tiny seed to grow into a colorful and beautiful flower. And thats exactly why it takes time before the little caterpillar will grow into a colorful and beautiful butterfly.... Those who are not patient will not become more than seeds and caterpillars..... But those who are patient will grow into beautiful flowers and beautiful. This is something i truly believe.

I agree with you. We are all submitters of one faith and shall always stay united. Thats way sects are no god for Islam. There was no Sunni or Shia when Prophet Muhammed lived.... Sunni and Shia are inventions that have never been accepted by God or by prophet muhammed. Prophet muhammed was just a muslim. Many sunni traditionalists claim that they are following the true islam by obeying the prophet and doing and believing exactly like him.
If they are believing the same as prophet muhammed, then why don't they call themselves the same as the prophet. Why don't they called themselves just muslims? Our Prophet never called himself a sunni or Shia. Prophet muhammed was just a muslim. Only a muslim, not a shia or sunni. The labels Sunni and Shia divides us......
        The word "Muslim" unites us.

Yes i have some questions yay

I was wondering, how did you find free-minds. Tell us more about how you found the page and what made you believe differently?

What are your belief about hadiths. Do you think they should be followed as religious rules in islam?

If you have any questions, also feel free to ask. Normally i am a nice person too. But today i am bad, very very bad ignore I can bite just like a dog. woof, woof. But relax, its only a lyrical bite....I am the lyrical dog today ;D lol..... Just kidding. Today i a nice person

Check out these islamic websites below, they have lots of great articles about Islam based on Quran alone

        www.rationalreality.com
        www.19.org
        www.ourbeacon.com

I have posted a short article here on free-minds about the history of hadiths. I think it might interest you

          Peace
          Thank u very much Brother
I am a born Muslim..however, I were a traditionalist myself until I got fed up of my own belief..I found submission.org in a local newspaper whereby the editor was criticising and said its a satanic site full of innovation..However I were curious enough to browse it and Alhamdulilah am finding truth about Islam..what I were practicing was full of rules that made no sense at all..I wanted to get to know other QA and how they are different and the more I know abt them and the more similarities I found between Us Mashah Allah
FM is a very good platform for discussion and here I feel like staying here long hours reading the posts here..

I got to know a Brother, in my country while signing a petition that Queen Rania started on Quran Alone..I contacted him..and he said there are a few QA in Mauritius..then he told me abt FM and how interesting it is here..

I also browse Quran Connection and I created my profile there.

In Mauritus,if I tell sum1 I reject hadith, they are going to label me Kaafir(refering to my own family, except dad) else my sisters, colleagues and all my friends will feel am a kaafir..

Just recetly I have stopped going to Jummah,I used to like going there as it was a way to socialise..But frankly everytime I go they are always criticing women..They talk rubbish and make me disgusted to go thee. They are so cheap that I feel disgusted

They even said that women like to go shopping coz they like to mix up with men..

Anyway I love dogs by the way
Thanks 4ze websites..they are very resourceful..

Interesting. Most people on this forum found "Islam based on quran alone" through submission.org......
Mashallah your curiousness and humbleness made you find the truth. Its when we start to question things that we will see if they are right or wrong and if we should change for the better.

In Mauritus,if I tell sum1 I reject hadith, they are going to label me Kaafir(refering to my own family, except dad) else my sisters, colleagues and all my friends will feel am a kaafir..

This reminds of why we should never reveal our true beliefs(inner beliefs) to people we know won't understand us. Read this post i wrote in the forum a few months ago. I think the post is very relevant to what you wrote

              http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=16915.msg169983#msg169983

They even said that women like to go shopping coz they like to mix up with men..

Beliefs like this is exactly what grows when people start to follow teachings and laws other than what God has given them (Quran). These people really need to take a reality check and start to read the Quran brickwall

Maybe men should stay home so their women dont mix up with any men outside? ;D

Consider yourself lucky. Over here, there are no mosques which allow women to attend, except a couple here and there during Ramadhan for Tarawih.

                          Peace.

I'm finding it difficult going to the mosque too. too much back chatting and judging, and the khutbas are based on hadiths.
and dont get me started on the size of the women's room. it's so tiny! whereas the men get 3 large mosque sized rooms!
                              the sexism makes me sick!

When i get richer, God willing, i'll build you a mosque myself, God willing.

The religionists and their priests are not aware that the word masjid is used in the Reading to refer to the people who existed long before the time of the Last Prophet and that it does not refer to mosques or buildings of any kind. They totally ignore the significance of the history of Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Jesus in the Reading (all of whom consented to God) as though these people were not worthy of recognition in Islam. Before the Arabs became Muslims, there were many others who consented themselves to God?s decrees. However, there are equally many of them who abused these decrees.

                                        wallazi taqqozu masjidan dhiro-ror wakuf-ran watab-riqan bainal mu?minin-na wa-irsodan liman ha-robal-lah wa-rosulahu min-qoblu (9107)

And there are those who accept their consent to cause detrimental and disbelief, and they created dissent among those who believed, while accommodating those who fought God and His messengers from before. (9107)

The phrase min-qobla indicates an event that took place in the past (literally from before). In other words, before the time of the Last Prophet the masjidan1 or ?their consented? decision in upholding God?s decree was corrupted to create problems and disbelief.

The word masjid is a common term used in the Reading to refer to the consent between God and His servants and this word was used for other people long before the time of Muhammad.

Furthermore, there is no historical evidence to support the existence of any physical mosque patronised by Muslims before the Reading was revealed. The Jews and the Christians call their houses of worship synagogues and churches. According to the religionists, Islam was introduced to the world only after the Reading was revealed to the Last Prophet (when in fact the Reading states that the true Islam was initiated by Abraham, i.e. long before Moses).

The Arab masters further boast that the first mosque is one built - allegedly by the Prophet - at a special site chosen by his pet camel in Medina twelve years after he received the revelation. On the other hand, they render 2144 of the Reading to mean that the Last Prophet was commanded by God to change the direction of the ritual prayers from Jerusalem to the sacred mosque in Mecca when in fact by their own admission there was no physical mosque in Mecca at that time. Perhaps, only the religionists are able to explain such contradictions.

In the Arab religion they do not cite any history of any physical building called a mosque, or the mosques of God or the ?sacred mosque? during the time of Noah, Abraham, Moses or Jesus.

Let us quote the remaining portion of the passage in 9107

                                        Wala-yahlifun-na ain-arodna il-laa husna. Wal-lah-yashadu, in-nahum la-kazibun.

And they swear, ?It is not our intention except to do good.? And God bears witness that indeed they are liars.

Whilst it would be illogical to assume that the people were lying about the mosques we can safely say that they were lying about what they have consented to in observing God?s consented decrees - or the masa-jidal-lah.

The people in the verse claim that their intentions are honourable. But God says He bears witness that they were lying about their intentions. It is hard to imagine how someone could abuse a physical mosque. The section continues

                                        La-taqum fihi abadan, lamasjidan usisa ?ala-taqwa min-aw-wali yau-mi ahaq-qu an-taqum-ma fihi. Fihi rijalun yuhib-bun aiya-tha-thoh-haru. Wal-lah yuhib-bul mu-dhoh-hirin (910

Do not sustain in it forever. Indeed, consenting based upon observation from the first day of the truth is secure for you to partake in it. There are men who wish to cleanse themselves. And God is pleased with those who cleanse themselves. (910

The objective of consenting oneself to the consented decree or masjid in 9108 becomes clear. It is to cleanse people. If the religionists insist their mosques can cleanse people, what is wrong in saying the temples, synagogues and churches can do the same thing?

It is also important to look at 9108 which says, la masjidan usisa ala taqwa minal-aw-wali yaumi aHaqu

                                        la masjidan Indeed, consenting

                                        usisa based

                                        alataqwa upon observations

                                        minal from

                                        aw-wali the first

                                        yaumi day

                                        aHaqu of the truth

The word ?minal aw-wali yau-mi aHaqu? means ?from the first day of the truth?. This is something even the religionists cannot explain. Does the word from the ?first day of the truth? refer to the engagement of the architects and the contractors to put up a building correctly or does it mean to agree or to to give our consent to the truth upon observations of the Quran? Nobody finds any truth in the houses of worship?

The fact is these verses stress the importance of not abusing God?s consented decrees after it was established with the truth. The decrees encompass personal commitments in the doing of the good deeds in our routine life in society, to parents, families, relatives, close associates, orphans, the poor, the needy and to fulfil the promises we make, and to continue to maintain our obligations and keep them pure. We must remain steadfast in the face of adversity, hardship and war.

The fundamentals of God?s consented decrees are

                                        • belief in the One unseen God
                                        • belief in the life after death
                                        • Do good deeds while living in this world

That is all it says in 262 of the Quran. Anybody can do this without any mosques or houses of worship. In the same verse it assures those who observe them ?Have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve?.

There is no need for anyone to go to a physical building to search for religious ?experts? to learn the methodology on how to believe in the One God, the Hereafter or how and what to do in discharging their duty doing good deeds.
