this forum looks awful :'-(

This red font colour is awful, it's only good for headings I think.
Please change it back to the way it was, webmaster, whoever it is. (Is it Nadeem?)Peace
Sarah
+1 vote against that motion from here !
There used to be an option to change the themes to a few options in your profile but that's gone now. maybe they'll bring it back for the nay-sayers.

The old design was much nicer and much more user-friendly. This one's confusing and I can't find the URL on top that allows you to view the threads in which people have replied to your posts. I can only find the URL that allows you to view unread threads.

Peace all,
Thanks for the bug report. It should be fixed now please post if it hasn't.i have got the two links on mine in the right hand corner and everything works the same. everything in the same place too pretty much but just not default boring blue. ties in with the main site seamlessly 2.
Thanks dc2. The links you gave me had the bulk of the theme and I only had to change about 5%. And you are right, it was changed in order to tie in with the main site, and unfortunetly or fortunetly depending on who you are its red

i much prefer it aalmakto, looks very well. usually i dont like red links but these are more of a dark wine, at least on my monitor. are you able to manually alter the css ?
it might be good to include some options to change the theme back to the default for people who dont like it. didnt there use to be an option for doing that in the user profile ? -
Peace,
Not fixed yet. Is it because I use Firefox?
Peace bro,
Sorry for the hassle. It is difficult to get themes compatible with all browsers.
In firefox, can you go to Help -> About Mozilla Firefox.
Mine says its version 3.0.4 and it loads well on mine. If yours is that version try hitting F5. If that doesn't fix it then may I ask for your version of firefox. That way I can download it and try and fiddle around.i much prefer it aalmakto, looks very well. usually i dont like red links but these are more of a dark wine, at least on my monitor. are you able to manually alter the css ?

I thought about making it blue, but that would be completely different from the old design so kept it red.
Yes it is a CSS theme
http//custom.simplemachines.org/themes/index.php?lemma=968
http//www.smfthemes.org/index.php?theme=654The option to choose themes is disabled for some reason. I don't know why, I emailed Layth to ask if he had a reason.

you could just tone down the red links in the css. maybe it is a little bright on some monitors

maybe #570f11 would be better
I agree with dc2, a darker red would be better, since it's not as bright as the red used now, and it would fit in nicely with the rest of the theme.
Thanks,
Sarah

Peace all,
Thanks Supernaut )
I am getting conflicting reports about the color. So if anyone else thinks the red should be toned down, now is a good time to voice your opinion. Like dc2 said it should not be difficult God willing. But I need to hear more views on this issue. -
No, not darker then it will look not red anymore. I think it now look more brown red on my pc.

i dont get it. why is it madness. it has the exact same layout as the default theme but the colors/fonts are changed and the "show unread" and "new replies" links are in the right corner. to anyone who is having problems could i ask you to tell us which browser you are using ? is anyone using internet explorer 6 or below ?

I like the new forum colors.
I like the new pic too. It reminds me of the movie "The Celestine Prophecy."
Nice work!Salam,
