    Salaams All,

just curious, as to whether a Muslim(One following the five pillers of Islam) more likely to be a non muslim then one who tries just to be a muslim (one whose actions are solely in line with Godly attributes) alone?

    Salaam.

I don't understand the question of this poll.

        Salaams Br,

to understand it , one must know the differance between the two term Muslim and muslim.

A Muslim is one so by name, because he or she gets the name by undertaking the 5 pillers of Islam.

A muslim is one by his character- who behaves in a Godly way , or according to the attributes or laws of the quran one might say.

A Muslim might be a muslim aswell but not necessarily so.

The quistion was who is more likely to get off track by being a muslim first or by being a Muslim first.

        God Bless.

There are many non-muslim, potentially CIA (corrupt intending agency) individuals related to gog magog here.

That's worse than 'God' vs 'god'.

            Peace Simple,

I understand the difference between a Muslim (the title) and a muslim (description, meaning "submitter&quot, but I'm still a little lost on this question... Are you asking if a Muslim will become a submitter faster than a disbeliever? Are you asking if a submitter will be misled by a Muslim, or a Muslim guided by a submitter? Or are you asking something else? Please explain the question...

            Peace,

            Ahmad

              Salaams Br,

              Traditionally;
A Muslim is name given to person if he/she believes in the five pillars of Islam and undertakes to their observance. He/she automatically gets the title, a permanent title given to one believing in the five pillars.

              According to the quran;
A muslim is simply a submitter to no pillars as such but to Godliness and only gets to be a submitter if and when His or Her actions are Godly.

The question was is it more likely for the first, in comparison to the second, to get off God's track of good actions.

In the first case the pillars are of prime concern before actions, whilst in the second the actions are of prime concern.

In the first case as long as you hold to the five pillars you remain a Muslim even though you may steal, you may lie, you may do frued e.t.c however if you do these things in the second case you are not a submitter or you may only be a partial submitter.

with respects - to my knowledge.

              God Bless.

                Peace Simple,

This is a biased question, brother. The majority of Muslims (as in sectarian Muslims) are not on "God's track of good actions" anyway. Although some of them are good people, many of them feel they are exempt from true service, since, according to their hadiths, everyone who recites their shahaada (i.e. "Ash-hadu aan la ilaaha ila Allah wa ash-hadu ana Muhammad alrasuwlu Allah&quot will automatically be saved and sent to heaven. To some of them, being a Muslim requires nothing more than this... To others, they can't worship God without partnering Muhammad alongside Him; they can't even observed their salaat without mentioning Muhammad, and they speak directly to him in their prayers (like he is listening and can hear their calls). This alone is idolatrous... Many of them don't genuinely seek to be good people or to give to the poor; they think it's sufficient enough to pay their 2.5% zakaat, and this is all they need to receive God's blesssings... And I won't even go into their shirk practices during their version of "alhajj w' alumraah".

A submitter is one who devotes their worship to GOD ALONE. So, based on this concept, can you really call sectarian Muslims actual "muslimeen"/submitters? And you think they are on God's track of good actions?

                Peace,

                Ahmad

A submitter is one who is in servitude to Godly ways. So based on this a Muslim can be a submitter and be on God's track of good actions. Yes.

But coming back to the original topic a person who doesn't make Godliness their prime concern or their god can easily get off track.

                  Thanks.

This is not what a submitter is... The Arabic word "muslim" literally means "one who submits". So, in a religious sense, this is one who submits completely to God, and this is the essence of worshipping God ALONE. If ones commit shirk by attaching partners alongside Allah, then they are not in submission to God ALONE, following the religion of "islam"/submission, which means they are not submitters... Since sectarian Muslims place their allegiance to their idea of Muhammad higher than worshipping Allah, they have not submitted to God, and they are therefore not "muslimeen"/submitters... Being a "good person" is not the same as being a submitter, not at all. Plenty of "good people" are wicked idolators, and plenty of people who have so-called "godly ways" are blasphemers...

                    Peace,

                    Ahmad

                      Salaam Ahmed,

I am not sure what you mean by worshipping God Alone! But there isn't a God but a way by which things have come to be what they are in the vast space and you can adopt this way also, its more or less explained by the attributes given throughout the quran.

Shirk is nothing to do with setting up a partner with some God but by adopting a way different to that described by the attributes.

Example Truth is one of the descriptions of the way so if you choose to lie instead you are actually committing shirk.

So in all fairness the Muslims may be wasting a lot of their valuable time, so instead of making some useful money and things they remain poor worshipping their idols and you can't call it shirk as you aren?t going in opposition to any of the attributes.

Good people don't do shirk that is why they are Good. A bad person can?t be good as he does shirk - that is why you me others don't like him/her as he/she goes in opposition to the very very useful attributes (for all).

Look world over people whose behavior embodies the attributes they are loved by other goodly soles and they do prosper as well.

                      Salaam.

                        Peace be upon you,

The answer is "how am I acting"? Peacefully or Destructively?

The simple answer is God Knows Best.

One cannot speculate on a hypothetical question in order to convince oneself in order to achieve a personal comfort level thinking that one is right.

Just as 'traditional' Muslims are labelled, thus are Hadeeth Rejectors/Quranists Progressive Muslims, Submitters or whatever one wants to call himself also labelled by the so called 'traditionalists' as just another sect of pseudo-Muslims. To them, people who follow the Qur'an alone are also sect members and on the wrong track because they reject the Hadeeth and Sunnah and 'traditionalists' will use the Qur'an as their basis for evidence. It's always going to be six of one and a half a dozen of the other my friend.

I pray that I am on the right path myself, whichever it is because I don't want to be standing in front of God on the Day of Judgement being told that I was on the wrong path, so off you go to the Hellfire. It may sound selfish, but I want Janaah. Period.

                          Peace.

I would personally label someone who calls another person not a muslim to be helping the "divide and conquer" camp.

Mostly we air the same point of view but with a slight difference thinking we are making a totally different statement. Can bilal say what is devoting and then worshiping and then who God is? Finally combine all the three together for practical guidance in life? So that it helps one in his life out side of the mosque as Quran is the Guide for it. Quran as per sunnah, it is guidance to the mosque thus portraying quran as unsuitable for life outside of the mosque.
