What do you guys think of this hadith?
-
First of all the statement, "Utitul Qurana wa mislahu" (I have indeed been given the Qur'an and something similar to it besides it.) clearly contradicts the Quran, which challenges the ingrates, "Fal yatu bi hadisin mislihi in kanu sadiqyn" (Let them bring a hadith/word similar to it, if they are truthful).
Anyone familiar with hadith will have no doubt that this and similar hadiths were fabricated to condemn the monotheist at THAT TIME. They fabricated many hadith to support certain a particular position in controversies.
Peace,
EdipWhat do you guys think of the following hadith?
Sunnah-Hadith
Book 40, Number 4587Sunan Abu-Dawud,
Narrated Al-Miqdam ibn Ma'dikarib
The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said Beware! I have been given the Qur'an and something like it, yet the time is coming when a man replete on his couch will say Keep to the Qur'an; what you find in it to be permissible treat as permissible, and what you find in it to be prohibited treat as prohibited. Beware! The domestic ass, beasts of prey with fangs, a find belonging to confederate, unless its owner does not want it, are not permissible to you If anyone comes to some people, they must entertain him, but if they do not, he has a right to mulct them to an amount equivalent to his entertainment.I have indeed been given the Qur'an and something similar to it besides it. Yet, the time will come when a man leaning on his couch will say, "Follow the Qur'an only; what you find in it as halal, take it as halal, and what you find in it as haram, take it as haram." But what the Messenger of Allah has forbidden is like what Allah has forbidden.

But if we shouldn't go to any sources outside of the Qur'an for guidance, then how do you explain the fact that many "Qur'an only" people on this forum disagree regarding major topics in the Qur'an? I still see so much dispute on this forum on what Salah actually is, whether it is prayer or something else, and if it's prayer whether it is 5 prayers or 3 prayers, etc. I see dispute on the issue of ablution, ghusl, what jinn actually are, and so on and so forth. Why is there so much disagreement if everything is clear? Can someone answer this for me please?

But if we shouldn't go to any sources outside of the Qur'an for guidance,
Who said we shouldn't??
The point is clear; the hadiths are mostly human fabricated rubbish...
The greatest source outside the Qur'an (actually it was far much greater source than the Qur'an) is of course GOD HIMSELF!
ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE, SEEK AND YOU SHALL FIND..then how do you explain the fact that many so called Quranites disagree about major issues in the Qur'an? I still see so much dispute on this forum on what Salah actually is, whether it is prayer or something else, and if it's prayer whether it is 5 prayers or 3 prayers, etc. I see dispute on the issue of ablution, ghusl, and so on. My dear friend, you're still suffering from sectarian syndrome..
(That all people should believe in the same thing, dressed the same way, state the same opinion etc..)
It's okay to have a disagreement, and those disputes are actually minor issues...Salam / Peace

It's okay to have a disagreement, and those disputes are actually minor issues...FYI, I'm not sunni, and I don't suffer from sectarian syndrome. I'm simply asking why there is dispute if the Qur'an is enough for the religion. I'm asking questions because there are things that are unclear to me as well, and I'm still in the learning phase.
To answer your second point, no those are definitely NOT minor issues. Salah is not a minor issue, and neither is ablution. It is one thing to say that it's not important which movements we make during Salah, but to say that Salah isn't a ritual prayer at all (as some people on this board have suggested) is a whole other deal.

The main core of islam, and the main goal of the scripture is worship God alone and not taking parteneres, otherwise it will be shirk which according to the quran it is the unforgivable sin, anything else could be forgiven by god if he would.
448 God does not forgive that partners be set up with Him, and He forgives what is beside that for whom He wills. Whoever sets-up partners with God has indeed invented a great sin.
Shirk , the unforgivable sin, is accepting and following a religion createad by human beings like us, who will claim it is from god or the prophet to convince people to follow it.
4221 Or do they have partners who decree for them a system which has not been authorized by God? And if it were not for the word already given, they would have been judged immediately. Indeed, the transgressors will have a painful retribution.
It is correct that there is disputes in many issues, but not in the main issue.

Who said you're a sunni? besides it's quite okay to be a sunni.... and guess what.. I'm not even a "Quran Aloner"...

It is a minor issue and not a big deal.. at least to me and some other folks within this forum.
To me;
It's quite okay if someone wishes to worship a stone as long as he do not enforce me to also worshipping a stone or even worse; he throw that stone to me... then that would be a big issue!"To every nation We appointed acts of devotion which they observe, therefore you should not dispute with them about the matter and invite them to your Lord; most surely you are on a right way."

Has God told us that Satan and his followers will always be out there to make believers disagree among each others?
Free-Minds is not Immune from Satan and his followers.

Peace,
Respectfully. My dear friend, you must understand this we are all humans (same) and different (have different views) because we all have independent minds and we must therefore think on our own, i can't follow other human beings just because they tell me they are right. I must do my own research, i must investigate on my own and i must think for myself.
Imagine if all detectives at the same police station followed one detective just because he is the oldest or has more money then anyone else or whatever. Every detective is given a case and each detective must find the criminal.
Special Agent Fox Mulder must find the bad guys independently from special agent Dana Scully, even though they actually work together.
Peace.
