I Feel So Heartbroken.
-
As Salaam Alaikum,
My husband left me about 6 months ago and I still so heartbroken. I no longer cry as much as I do anymore, and I have met significant progress in my life since he initially left. Now realizing that there is only about a month left to finally settle the divorce in an Islamic sense, over the past several days I have found myself very upset.I prayed to God so much to reunite my husband and I and allow us to rebuild our marriage, but he is still gone and as far as I can see I am truly "out of his life". I feel so heartbroken. I know that life goes on, I've been living life a bit since he's been gone. But in my heart I much rather prefer that we were together and we could really try to work it out. I think of so many people who had chose to work it out after a seperation, so many marriages that worked after a seperation, etc and I just feel so upset that this doesn't appaer to be the case for me at all.
I don't know what to do. I've prayed over our situation alot but my husband still has not returned what so ever. I just don't understand why this happened to me. I don't understand at all! I loved my husband so much, soooo much. He was my first love, and we really had so much going for us. I just wish that I could be with him.
Why did this have to happen to me? I don't understand. I prayed and I prayed and he is still gone. He hasn't returned. He hasn't spoken to me. It really hurts!

If it does not work it is what it is. You claim there was so much potential, but you're letting it eat at you that such "idealisms" have failed you and it seems you would prefer to bask in this mendacious position. See what conclusion you guys can amicably come to, then embrace the truth of your situation.

Exactly. To the original poster If he has abandoned you for whatever reasons, so be it and move on with your life using your rightful senses and reason (millions do with time) and reflect into your own shoes for pete's sake; and stop praying and crying your brains out to an "imaginary supernatural being". Time heals all wounds.

Peace to all,
It will be ok sister IBI, I know it hurts now but you will get better, just keep praying and have patience, God will take care of you, he places no burden on a soul that it can not bare, and also remember that a thing that you think may be good for you may actually be harmful, and what you think may be harmful, may actually be good, God knows and you dont, so just patiently persevere with prayer sister, you will come out better and happier eventually, you soul mate may be just around the corner, in the meantime, I too will say a prayer for you. God willing.

I beleive Words of wisdom are nice and valuable if we are addressing the Mind, but on addressing Feelings and Emotions it may be of no value at all. Feelings are very hard to deal with especially a broken heart, i believe nothing change a feeling but another feeling, i think she must talk to him and do her best, no place for arrogance here, he is her husband, and by doing so , she either win him back or may have a change of feeling that he is not worthy and she might be better without him.

Salaam, sister,
You are right to pray, and don't stop doing it. Just if you accept my humble suggestion, do not ask Our most Loving mar Merciful Creator for what you want for yourself, ask Him for what He wants for you. He loves, you, He won't cheat you, He created you for a purpose and whether you know it or not or want it or not, you will fullfil that purpose. Ask Him to make you a true fulfiller of His purpose, whether with that man you "love" or whithout him, just as our most Merciful Designer provides.
We hear and even feel all the time so much that all traditional an conventional ties are deteriorating, and that society disintegrates and that also in our lives... We must trust, we must hang on to our faith in our most intimate Lover, who really knows us and cares for us.
Don't loose heart or hope or faith, sister. God doesn't take something from us but to give us better things, only we may not be prepared to see them, but they will be there. Open your eyes sister. Stop fearing loosing something, even if it is a husband. Fear is the most oppresive lord anybody can have, and sometimes the only way to cure our fears is that the thing we fear actaully happens, and when it happens we go through hell may be, but amazingly we survive and later on we are even happier and don't regret anything.
You must take courage and dismiss fear. God knows you and bears you in mind. Serve Him and only Him. He knows what to do with you, because He made you specially what you are and what you WILL BE. Thank Him for it all.May He be your most loving guide.
Salaam

I second what huruf said. There were a couple occasions in my life where I might've felt the same but for the grace of God. Life goes on in better ways than what we may have had.

Peace,
i think this is rather idealistic, and not nessessarily true. i think we should be focusing on what is truely important.
God tells us in the quran that if both partners desire to reconcile, he will cause that to happen, in my understanding
He also informs us that we often ask for things that are harmfull to us, that He knows what is best for us.God always gives us what we NEED. he does not always give us what we WANT.
This life is a test, not a hollywood movie.
while it is understandable to be upset by a relationship breakdown, if it is to an extreme level, i would consider whether such a relationship is healthy or whether you were depending on your partner for happiness..
because at the end of this short day, our lives, we are to be returned to God, and he will judge us and either admit us to paradise or to hell.he reminds us in the quran that our spouses will not help us at all on the day of ressurection. we must focus on God, and the fate of our souls. not on ideals or dreams. relationships do not always work out, we get hurt, we god willing learn from the experience, but in the grand scheme of things, what is the enjoyment of this life compared to the hereafter. if it was unhealthy for you, and for the fate of your soul, then god causing it to be broken is a great blessing for you..
God knows best, and he knows what is best for us.
with all of that, i understand, as well as i can from my own experiences that love, and loss, is painfull, however without all of that, i would not be where i am today, and i have gained much valuable experience from it. i would never change a thing. not that i can.. keep strength, and faith in God, may he heal the pain in your heart, and help you to focus on him, and on your soul.
Peace

What is "this"?
May I know what you refer to as "rather idealistic"?
The reason why I like huruf's statement above is because it happened in my life Allah gives me what is/are better (or even much better, insha'Allah) after I experienced loses and grieves in the past, praise be to my Rabb. We should trust Him and should not lose hope even if the situation seem hopeless (very difficult).
Anyway, my personal case was not exactly similar with what happened to a thread starter (ibelieveinitonly, I hope she's alright now), and I still have to continue to trust Allah and strive for my next dreams.
This life is a test, not a hollywood movie.
Of course. I'm not a fan of hollywood movies. I dislike many of the movies (either hollywood, bollywood, korean, etc).
Peace.

rotfl
holly wood movie take 2 hours to describe full story of life... so its sounds fancy..
real life story consist of years of years patience.. and life is not fair always.. we always lose a thing which we love.. its a natural process of life..
infact we always goes for best and when we cannot acheive what we want , there is hopelessnes start..
but never give up

It's so sad seeing this post, knowing that Alen died last year, alone in London. How very surreal!
