    Salaam brothers and sisters,

I was having some debate with some salafis, and after some continues ping pong arguments, they cornered me with the argument that how are we to know that we cannot marry our grand-daughters (daughter's daughter) because this is not mentioned in the Quran according to their studies... I was quite baffled by that question too and it forced me to delve deeper into the subject and after some digs, I found that the prohibition not to marry grand daughters, as well as grand-mothers (which the salfis forgot and i think is not in hadith either) is well mentioned in the Quran, though it is not explicit and you will have to study the issue if you want to find the answer... Alhamdoulillah, after these findings, my conviction in the Quran just became stronger.... I have drafted a small presentation to explain this issue... You can download it from the link below and I hope you will find it beneficial...

      Way finder

If there is a will , there will be a way, and the wayfinder will find the way , God willing.

A very good job done, appreciated.

Brother-sister marriages were very common in ancient Egypt so I wouldn't put it past some twisted sickos to marry their grandchildren.

People do not care whether it is 'sick' job or not when it come to argue with you against following the Quran alone... This issue was raised by Salafis with me... They spread the false impression that those who follow the Quran, follow only what they see textually present in the Quran and if it is not present textually/explicitly, they take it as something allowed... So for them, since marrying grand-daughters and grand-mothers is not mentioned in any verse explicitly, they say that those who follow the Quran should consider this marriage as something 'allowed' by Allah.. This issue just prove their ignorance regarding their own Quran...

Worst of ALL... the guy with whom I was debating did not publish my answer regarding this issue... So, he is concealing the truth knowingly...

            Allah knows best.
