Dopamine, just an amazing sign from God!

Information on this brain chemical can be found everywhere. Everything in this post will be painfully obvious to everyone who has experienced anything significant in their lives to do with this but I don't understand why this isn't talked about more. It's very interesting from a quranic perspective. What stands out in my eyes -
1.) This chemical regulates our pleasure and pain responses. This is what makes us learn what's "good" and what's "bad". Good = pleasure, bad = pain.
2.) Motivation - Low dopamine levels = low motivation.
3.) How much meaning we ascribe to life and how much will we have to live, all depends on how well our dopamine systems function
4.) Psychosis - some kind of failure in this system creates psychosis. Current anti-psychotic drugs act on our dopamine receptors. It's not the root cause however, it takes a while. Abusing dopaminergic drugs (speed, meth, coke, crack, etc) leads to psychosis.
With the quranic concepts in mind; that life is a test, everything related to reward and punishment, it all fits! Pardon my unstructured post, I find it quite hard to write about things that interest me so much.
People undergoing poor mental health symptoms (e.g. depression, psychosis, lack of motivation, emptiness, anxiety, depersonalisation, etc) tend to have their dopamine systems functioning worse than normal. There are a large number of other neurotransmitters that are just as interesting to study. I get the impression that this particular chemical literally regulates our connection to reality. Thoughts?

Thanks, I've given that a read. Your POV centres on the conceptual side of things. An enlightening read but I feel that it would be improved if it made reference to the material world. The way in which serotonin and dopamine act together are amazing. It irritates me that so much money is getting spent on trash when this line of research could move us centuries forward in human understanding and acceptance.

My research is about 120 pages; thus I only posted small part of it; the following is a brief of what you askedA SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATION OF HUMAN EMOTIONS
In his famous book, The God Gene, Hamer (2005) explained the mechanism of humans? emotions, which I understand it as follows
the human?s brain consists of about 100 billion different cells, which are named neurons. Neurons come in many shapes and sizes, but all have the same structures as follow
(1) Cell body that carries most of the production and maintenance operations within the neuron; (2) Dendrite (input and radar devices) is the neuron antennae that receives information from the other cells; (3) Axon (output device) carries information from its cell to the outside cells using branches (synapse).
Neurons communicate with each other using chemicals called monoamines, which represent emotions?negative or positive?that are felt by humans when produced. Monoamines are produced within the neurons from amino acids found some humans? foods. The monoamines consist of two groups, one causes positive emotions and the other causes negative feelings. Once the monoamines are produced, they have to be wrapped into vesicles before being sent out to the neurons terminus. The release of the monoamines will happen when one of two connected neurons sends a signal that opens the gate of the other neuron for release. Once the release happens, the released monoamines have to be carried on receptors that have a certain shape and fit. The types of receptors are what control the types of emotions that humans will have. For example, serotonin (a type of monoamine) receptors do not respond to the dopamine (another type of monoamine) release, and vice versa. The size of the monoamine?s vesicle has to match with the size of the receptor?s storage part in order to be carried.
For each monoamine there are different kinds of receptors that have the same storage shape but with different internal structures, which will affect the type of signal and its interaction with the other cells, as scientists believe.
Scientists are still discovering more chemicals, which govern the body and brain communications process. These discoveries, indeed, are breakthroughs in understanding the long profound mystery of humans? feelings.THE NEGATIVE EMOTIONS
Humans become stressed when experiencing negative emotions?unwanted feelings. For examples, they have fear feelings when experiencing dangerous situations; sad feelings when experiencing the death of loved ones; angry feelings when discovering that someone misled them; and stressed feelings when failing to achieve a certain goal. It can be noted that each experienced situation, which leads to negative emotions, is different from one another, and therefore, humans name the associated negative emotions differently (e.g., anger, sadness, stress, anxiety); but all are unwanted and un-welcomed situations that humans try not to experience due to its negative feelings.
Thus, it would be appropriate to say that all humans on earth (living in the present, past, and future), male or female, child or adult, would try to resist experiencing such unwanted feelings and try not to experience it again. In other words, humans will try to minimize such negative emotions by minimizing the interactions with the stimuli that caused the productions.
The following is a quotation from a study that was published in the Society For Neuroscience (2005)
When we experience a stressful situation, our stress system activates a slew of biological mechanisms that boost our strength and energy, among other functions, to help us cope. Accumulating research, however, indicates that perpetual or intense stress sometimes may harm the brain and its function. Such findings are leading to a better understanding of how environmental factors can influence the brain. The article also indicates that the research reveals relationships between the level of stress that a human experience from a traumatic event and some psychological disorder, such as post-traumatic stress disorder. Moreover, when humans face a high level of stress, their stress system can be over-activated, which can affect the function and the production of the negative brain monoamines, leading to harm in many ways.
THE POSITIVE EMOTIONS
Positive emotion is the state of feeling that all humans like to experience in their life. Such a humans? striving is known as self-gratification in the psychology field.
As in negative feelings, positive feelings are caused by many situations. For example, humans experience love feelings when being in relationship with other partners, happy feelings when achieving goals, joy feelings when eating a delicious meal in a fancy restaurant, and humorous feelings when watching a T.V. comedy.
It can be noted that each experienced situation, which leads to positive emotion, is different from one to another, and therefore, humans name the associated emotions differently (e.g., happiness, joy, love, relaxation); but all are wanted and welcomed feelings that humans are trying to experience more often. Thus, it would be appropriate to say that all humans (living in present, past, and future), males or females, children or adults will attempt to maximize their interaction with the stimuli that caused the welcomed emotions more often.
Recent discoveries have showed, by scanning the human brain, that human?s brain has a reward system that produces monoamines that make the human experience good feelings. Moreover, the reward system is activated every time a human experiences homeostasis stimuli of eating when hungry and/or drinking when thirsty, for example. Moreover, it showed that the same reward system is activated when different people are practicing their religious prayer, abusing drugs, smoking cigarettes, seeing the person whom are in love with, and even when their stock price rise (Jason, 2002; Bhattacharya, 2006; & Hotz, 2005). And because the monoamines that are being produced by the reward system are welcomed and needed, humans are guided to repeat these situations more often.THE TWO HUMANS? BEHAVIORAL DRIVES
Based on the previous discovered facts, and many other data, I believe that any stimulus that causes a human to produce negative emotions is harmful to him, and he will always try to avoid it. And any stimulus that causes a human to produce positive emotions is beneficial to him, and he will always welcome the repeating of such stimulus (Figure ?1-).The Humans? Behavioral Drives
Negative Emotions Drive Positive Emotions Drive
Humans escape Humans seek
Leads to unhealthy state Leads to a healthy state of
of feelings if over activated feelings(Figure ?1-)
Thus, ?All humans who have lived in the past or recent days, with their differences in age, sex, and cultures, strive to experience good feelings and escape from experiencing the bad feelings.? In other words, humans have two drives, one they try to maximize?positive emotions, and the other they try to minimize?negative emotions.
It is important to clarify that I ?m assuming that every time a human feels good or bad is because of his or her brain positive and negative emotions that are being produced. In other words, humans? feelings are caused by their brain-emotions.Peace

Here are another part of my paperIn 2004, I attempted to group the different stimuli that cause humans to feel good or bad?positive and negative emotions? into two groups, one causes positive emotions and the other causes negative emotions. Then, I discovered that humans develop positive emotions when fulfilling their needs and/ or preventing their harms, and negative emotions when failing to do so. Then, I divided the needs into body and non-body related needs, and the harms into body and non-body related harms (Figure-2).
The body part
The bodily? needs and harms group is similar in all humans, and the body known homeostasis controls the productions of its related emotions.
The body needs are governed by the brain?s ability to realize when the need is deficient. Maslow (1943) confirmed the homeostasis concept (Young, 1936), in which I believe is what governs the body?s needs. Moreover, it is known scientifically that the negative emotions will be produced when the body is in need of food or any other elements, and the positive emotions will be produced if the fulfillment occurs.
Humans? bodily harms are the lack of fulfilling one or all of the body?s basic needs?air, water, food, shelter, health?and the introduction of any objects or events that might affect and physically harm the body, including nonhuman creatures (animals), other people (criminals), small life forms (viruses), and natural disasters (e.g., earthquake, storms, fire). When such events occur, humans? brain will produce negative emotions. Thus, due to such negative emotions, humans will attempt to behave in a way to prevent and stop the occurring harm in order to feel better?stop the production of the negative-brain-emotions.
Humans develop positive emotions when fulfilling their craved needs or preventing harms, and negative emotions when failing. Such needs and harms and their related emotions are hardwired in humans? brain; in other words, all humans will have negative emotions in their system if they fail to fulfill the occurring bodily need or prevent the occurring bodily harm and positive emotions if they succeed. The non-bodily part (The psychological part)
People describe their own psychological needs and harms in different ways; each way depends on their beliefs in what it should be, based on their culture, religion, and personal moral beliefs. It was noted that such groups of needs and harms are different from one culture to another, one person to another, and from time period to time period within the same person?s life cycle.
The psychic part?s needs and harms are the ones when being fulfilled (for needs) or prevented (for harms) will have no effect on the body part; in other words, when such needs are fulfilled and harms are prevented, they will not affect the body?s homeostasis. Examples of such sets of needs and harms are religion and its teachings, family values, political beliefs, economic beliefs, and many other beliefs that describe benefits and harms that are not related to the body well being, but related to a non-body well being.
Humans will be rewarded when such needs are fulfilled and harms prevented or punished when failing?positive or negative emotions?the same way as the bodily needs and harms brain?s emotions mechanism works.
The recent scientific data have suggested that people are rewarded by positive emotions or punished by negative emotions when experiencing other stimuli that are different from bodily stimuli; some of the studies show how people are developing emotions, positive or negative, from activities such as seeing a brand?s picture or buying and selling in the stock market (Society For Neuroscience, 2005; Hamer, 2004; American Academy Of Neurology, 2005; Bhattacharya, 2006; Hotz, 2005; Jason, 2002; Limbic Nutrition, 2003; Sanfey, Rilling, Aronson, Nystrom & Cohen, 2003).
Because of the facts that the non-bodily group?the psychological group?is not the same in all humans, one person to another, or from time period to time period within the same person?s life cycle, I believe that the emotions? mechanism in which the psychic part works is wired by the humans? ability to program their brain in what should constitute a psychological need or harm . Once such a group is developed, the brain will produce the emotions that guide humans in fulfilling and preventing the programmed needs and harms.
Moreover, I believe that humans have the ability to reevaluate and change this part?the psychological?by reprogramming their brain-emotions-mechanism.
The psychological part of any human is a product of the information that has been collected using his senses, processed and valued using his brain, and stored along with its attached emotions in his brain?s memory-archive using his brain; thus, the behaviors of any human being (his or her personality) are the product and reflections of such stored pre-valued information. As known by the many researchers, such values and beliefs are taught to humans by their caregivers when young and other sources when grown (e.g., TV, schools, friends, books) throughout their lifecycle. The Body?s Emotions Mechanism Vs The Non-Body Emotions Mechanism
The related emotions to the body part The related emotions to the non-body
Hard wired Programmed by humans
The same in all humans Different in all humans
Cannot be changed by humans Can be changed by humans
Brain recognizes by smell and taste. Brain recognizes by sound and vision.
Thus, human uses his eyes and ears to program their psychological part through sound and vision inputs.
The complete picture
I describe any given human, based on the previous findings as follows
The human is a combination of a) his bodily part with its needs and harms that are the same in all humans on earth, and b) psychological part with its needs and harms that are not the same from one culture to another, from one person to another within one culture, and from time to time within the same human during his lifecycle. The emotional well-being?positive emotions or preventing negative emotions?of all humans will depend on their success in fulfilling the two parts? needs, and preventing the two parts? harms (Figure ?4-)Many studies (Hotz R., 2005; Iacono Tim, 2006; Jason, Z., 2002; Limbic Nutrition, 2003; National Association For Research & Therapy Of Homosexuality, 2004; Sanfey AG, Rilling JK, Aronson JA, Nystrom LE & Cohen JD, 2003; Shwartz, M., 2001. University Of Colorado, 2004; VanScoy, H, 2004) in some way suggest humans? abilities in programming their psychological part; some studies showed, through scanning the human brain, how people are developing emotions, positive or negative, from activities such as seeing a brand?s picture or buying and selling in the stock market. Such data strongly supports the idea of humans struggling to experience pleasure and avoid stress, and how humans are guided by emotions that are the product of its own learning and valuing process. People in the studies are producing emotions when seeing a picture of Coke Cola, George W. Bush, an actor, or even a style of fashion clothes, and the reason behind such emotions is obviously reflects and supports the notion of humans? abilities to program and code their brain to like or dislike the different stimuli. None of the participants were born to like Coke or dislike president George W. Bush, but humans like and dislike based on their learning and valuing process.

Here is another part that answer the question of who programs our Brain.3.4 The Soul the Judge and the Controller
This has been the mystery of all scientific and non-scientific writings, which is very risky for any researcher due to many reasons, such as a) its religion affiliation; b) its non-physical nature; and c) the consequences the researcher might face from the community that could harm his career. In the scientific world of research, scientists are discouraged from concluding any hypotheses that are not supported by data that can be sensed or tested, otherwise they will be judged as biased or are limited by a personal belief.
But due to the purpose of our research, which completing a meaningful picture to the human being and their behaviors; and our right as a researchers to support a particular professional research theory. We choose to touch such topic, and support Sigmund Freud (1881) theory about the existence of a part that controls and judge humans? behaviors in fulfilling their needs, which he called ?ego?. We choose to use the word ?soul? or ?self?, in our mentioning to such a part, due to its common use between humans in all culture and religions from the past until the present.
Not everything needs to be seen before we conclude its existence. The earth gravity, the air, and the energy produced from electricity are facts that we cannot see, but we can witness its existence through its behaviors. As we will note from the sound scientific neuroscience data, humans have the ability to choose between the alternative decisions, which we strongly believe that such ability is a manifestation of their souls and its known free-well ability.
Many psychologists and sociologists in the present or past days have spoken about the ability of humans to control their decisions. Even in our business and marketing studies, we learn about the power of convincing consumers to choose and buy products. Advertising is a form of communication that marketers have been using to communicate and convince the part that in control of the decision making process?the soul.
In our journey with the human behavioral research, we have tested the hypothesis of considering the human body to be the controller of choosing between decisions as Maslow believed, and ignore the mentioning of another part to be in control. By doing so, we discovered the followings
If the body is who we are, as human, why humans have no clue of what is going on in their body? Until recently, humans did not know the mechanism of human brain with its complicated nerve system and the way it works. How can such ignorance happen? Even in our recent days, humans are only aware of their surroundings and not aware of what is happening inside their bodies. They only become aware by emotions, such as bad emotions when the body needs food or fluid, and good emotions when they ?choose? to fulfill. Moreover, as we stated in chapter two, when analyzing Maslow?s work, we can note the need to separate the body that has no control over the behavior except to guide the soul by producing emotions, which will choose to follow or not.
Therefore, we believe there is a need to not ignore such a reality, and accept the existence of such part?the soul. And to better understand such part, there is a need to separate it from the body, when studying human being.3.4.1 The Definition
Before we begin discussing the soul and its role, we will state the following assumptions for the purpose of clarification
?The part (mind, soul) that controls and defines our psychological part cannot be seen or detected physically by any other humans.
?An individual can recognize and not physically sense his own soul.
?Normal humans? souls like to be happy (relaxed) and do not like to be sad (stressed)?pleasure seeker and stress escaper.
?Humans-souls will detect and feel when they are pleasured or stressed due to their brain chemical release?good or bad emotions. The following are definitions that are very important for clarification
The psychological part of any human is a product of the information that has been collected by his senses, processed and valued by his brain, and stored along with its attached emotions in his brain?s memory archive? The character of human personality.
The soul of any human is manifested in his or her ability of controlling and choosing how such information should be stored (how it should be valued, in the form of good emotion or bad emotion), using one?s body (e.g., senses, brain, nerve system).
Human die when the energy that makes their body lives stops. Such energy is called ?Spirit? in religious books. This research is not touching such part.
What we want to emphasize are a) humans? souls are relaxed and feel good when choosing to fulfill the needs and prevent harms due to the emotions that are associated with such task?good emotions, b) humans souls are the ones who define their psychological needs and harms, and not the body needs and harms which are hardwired in their brain, and c) the only part in control is the soul, and the other two parts (the body and the psychological part) are the characteristics of one?s soul, which will communicate its needs and harms through the brain?s emotions.3.5 The Complete Picture
We describe any given human, based on the previous findings as follows
The human is a combination of (a) his bodily part with its needs and harms that are the same in all humans on earth, and (b) psychological part with its needs and harms that are not the same from one culture to another, from one person to another within one culture, and from time to time within the same human during the person?s life cycle.
The soul?s emotional well-being?good emotions?of all humans will depend on their success in fulfilling the two parts? needs, and preventing the two parts? harms, due to the release of the good-feelings monoamines and not the bad ones.
The relationship between the human? brain?s signaling of the psychological part (needs and harms) and the soul is reciprocal. The soul defines and codes the brain in what constitutes psychic needs and harms. Once the brain is coded, it will start guiding the soul by producing good emotions when needs are fulfilled or bad emotions when harms occur. If human?s soul, for any reasons, decides to recode and change its psychic needs and harms, the brain will accept the changes and produce emotions based on the new changes?the newly adopted beliefs.
On the other hand, the relationship between the bodily needs and harms signaling and the soul is not a reciprocal relationship. The bodily needs and harms are hard-weird and cannot be changed by the human soul, which means the good and bad emotions that will guide the soul will be produced based on the body homeostasis. In other words, when the body needs food, the brain will signal bad emotions (hunger feeling) until the soul fulfills this need, and the soul has no control to stop such a signal, but it can choose to ignore and take the punishment?becomes stressed.
Due to such a reality, humans? bodies, especially the brain, have been suffering from the production of the bad emotion brain liquid, which is the reflection of the soul being in control of such a process. The brain and the body cannot stop the production of such liquid, even if the liquid is harming them, but their master, the soul, is the only one who is capable of doing so .
Real humans? behavior prove such a theory, which is matched with the recent scientific findings, except for humans ability to produce and delete receptors that will react to their newly adopted psychological beliefs (it has not been studied yet as far as we know). Some of the neuroscience studies have mentioned the ability of humans, using their brain, to control the production of the emotions .
Also, there are hundreds of recent studies that showed, through scanning the human brain, how people are developing emotions, bad or good, from activities such as seeing a brand?s picture or buying and selling in the stock market, which can be referred to in the bibliography list of this research. Such data strongly supports the idea of humans struggling to experience pleasure and avoid stress, and how humans? souls are guided by emotions that are the product of its own choices. People in the studies are producing emotions, good or bad, when they see a picture of Coke Cola, George Bush, an actor, or even a style of fashion clothes, and the reason behind such emotions is obviously reflects and supports the existence of a controller that defines their personalities, which we call a ?soul?. None of the participants were born to like Coke or dislike George W. Bush, but humans like and dislike based on their learning and valuing process, which we will go over later in this research.3.6 The Ultimate Goal Of Control
The scientific data, such as medical and neuroscience data, are what researchers have to rely on in order to prove or disprove any hypotheses, if such data were available. As the scientific data indicates (Society For Neuroscience, 2005), any normal human on earth is created with a brain and nerve-system that is capable of producing monoamines. Some of these monoamines are what cause humans to feel pleasure or stress?good or bad emotions. Also, we are told that the pleasure feeling is what all humans like to have in their system, and the stress feeling is very destructive and not welcomed by any human. The data shows that good chemicals are triggered when humans perform sex, eat when hungry, drink when thirsty, see a picture of their loved ones or other particular images (e.g., brands), and even when performing their religion practices. And the bad chemicals are triggered when they are hungry, thirsty, see an image of a human or any other image that has a bad experience with, and any other stimulus that caused harm to him or her.
If you ask any given adult in any society about what he wants to achieve in his life, or what his dream job is, you will get different answers from each individual. But when you ask why such an achievement or profession is considered important or desired, you will get answers that are related to fulfilling needs and preventing harms?bodily and psychological. People who want wealth, for example, want to use their money to buy anything that would make them feel good and prevent them from feeling bad; people who want authority and power, want to implement their ideology and believe using by their power.Any individual will set or choose his ultimate goal as the one that will grant (he thinks) his control over his brain?s emotional triggers, which means, in real life behaviors, the goal that will grant the fulfillment of his physical and psychological needs, and prevention of his physical and psychological harms.
No human wants to suffer from bad emotions. Great leaders (e.g., our great prophets, Gandhi, Martin Luther King) who suffered physically were fulfilling psychological needs. Their pleasure from fulfilling their psychological goal is much higher than their bodily harms. And that is the power of humans? souls, which come into existence to perform their power of controlling the choice between the two sets of needs and harms, and, as was proven scientifically, to tune the intensity of its brain emotions.

It is not that brain controls the bodily structures eg. the heart, but the reverse of it is true. When our heart is fluttering due to fear or palpitating due to anger the out put from the brain is not cohesive; brain becomes stunned and fails to function normally; the eyes are fixed and starry with scare; our mouth becomes dry and tongue becomes sticky and trembles and shakiness of the entire body, the limbs up to the tip of the fingers tremble and shake and unable to hold ourselves up, we slump in the chair. I think you are entirely correct when you say that in the long-term, peace is the only thing that can be sustained. There is no limit to peace. On the other hand, there is a limit to pleasure. After a certain amount of time spent on pleasure-inducing activities, one develops tolerance to it and it starts becoming less and less pleasurable or one gets exhausted or whatever.
When you say the brain controls the body or the body controls the brain, the answer is neither. Our whole body works on feedback, the brain sends signals out to the body which responds and sends signals back. It's just a circle and there is no starting point in a circle. I take a materialist view of the world for a reason; by stimulating certain parts of your brain (frontal lobe IIRC), it's possible to induce a profound spiritual experience. Likewise, removing certain parts of the brain will remove certain mental faculties. If you look at the example of Phineas Gage, the railroad worker whose brain was penetrated by a long and thick metal rod and hence underwent major trauma, you'll see that he had a major personality change. Where is the room for a soul? How do you define this soul? If anything, the brain is this "soul". When one dies, the last thing that dies is the brain.

This woman experienced complete ego death, perhaps the most powerful thing you can really feel on Earth. It feels good )
If you are trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, you will fail. The same can be said for attempting to treat symptoms of bad health through whatever. Just because these meds don't work however, doesn't mean that the most significant neurotransmitters don't function in the way they do.

And the Soul whom He (God) perfected (7) Who made its Stressed feelings and Comfort feelings (-8-) Truly succeeds who purifies it (9) and fails who corrupts it (10)
Now, the scientific evidences shows How Humans (Souls) have the ability to code their brain, in regard to their Psychic part, in what constitute pleasure and Stress.

I believe that The Soul is not the Brain; But I believe that the personality of any human's Soul is stored in his Brain; thus, in the case of the above example, the Man lost His Soul personality.

3.7 Humans Learning Process
3.7.1 Human Senses? Role in the Learning Process
People collect information from their environment in the form of scenes, smells, sounds, tastes, and textures, using their five senses. The eyes and their scene inputs are an example of senses that we will go over.
Scenes are about shapes and colors. From birth, using their eyes and brain, humans have been collecting, processing, and storing information regarding such scenes. The processed scenes are then stored in the brain? memory, along with their assigned feelings; the assigned feelings are the result of the valuing process function that humans conduct in their brain, using the guide of trusted sources (e.g., the caregiver, friends) or their own experiences. When he is young, for example, a human tends to explore and then experience pain sometimes, such as touching electric wires, which he was told not to touch by his caregiver; and when he experiences the pain of getting electrocuted, he will always remember not to touch or come too close to an electric wire, due to the bad emotion his brain will produce based on his memory archive.
The assigned feelings are good feelings, bad feelings, or natural feelings. The stronger the feeling humans assign to an object or any stimulus, the more liquid they will get from their brain when such an object is sensed.
Such definitions of the human vision process is guided within the frame of the known scientific data, which claims that humans produce emotions when envisioning a particular image, such as a product image or human image; from the fact that such images were experienced in their life cycle, and not hardwired in their brain when born; the fact that such images which were introduced to them are images of objects that they can memorize in their brain; the fact that such memory came into existence due to a past experience; the fact that if such experience were good or bad, the human brain would produce good emotions or bad emotions.
In a human psychology study, Bandura (1925- present) indicated that people in learning, they need to be in the state of attention, retention, reproduction, and motivation (positive or negative), which means, humans have to use their senses to learn, remember what they learned, be able to imitate, and choose to repeat what they learned if there is a positive motivation or ignore the process if negative.Peace

When you say the brain controls the body or the body controls the brain, the answer is neither. I take a materialist view of the world for a reason; by stimulating certain parts of your brain (frontal lobe IIRC), it's possible to induce a profound spiritual experience.OPF, What is spiritual experience? And what is the profundity about it? And with regard to what I said It is not that brain controls the bodily structures eg. the heart, but the reverse of it is true. By heart I meant one's soul, not the organ heart.
Where is the room for a soul? How do you define this soul? If anything, the brain is this "soul". When one dies, the last thing that dies is the brain.
Nowadays brain death is the talk of Modern medicine even as the heart and the lungs are still functioning. Brain dies first according to the Medical Science.
If you are trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, you will fail. The same can be said for attempting to treat symptoms of bad health through whatever. Just because these meds don't work however, doesn't mean that the most significant neurotransmitters don't function in the way they do. What I really wish to know is how this sort of thing relates to the quran.
Quran does not talk about the diseases except the disease in one's heart.

The whole theses hovering over the past experiences and learning processes. As man we are living for the future believing in the Unseen. This belief in the Unseen future is created in the soul by the Creator of the unseen. Just Quran is the only Book that talks about the belief in The Unseen!

If a person was born in a family that do not believe or even read any of God's Book, and that person has no access to any information (lives in an isolated place), would that person have any clue about the judgment Day, Hellfire, Heaven or any other unseens that are written in Quran? Moreover, if a person was born Blind and Deaf, would that person have any clue about any thing except eat, drink, and use the bath room?
762 We have created the human being from a mixed seed; and to test him, We made him hear and see.
762In other words, if a Human was born Blind and Deaf, He or she is not under God's Test; and that is another miracle of Quran.
Humans-Soul-Personalty (learning process) is developed and wired in the brain by using the Eyes and the Ears (Sound and scene). If you search the scientific data, you will find that our eyes and ears are wired and communicant different than the smell and taste senses.

Is it possible to verify Quran to see if it is from God or it is from other than God, without knowing Quran before hand? How do we use 4 82?

482 Do they not reflect on the Qur?an? If it was from any other than God they would have found in it many contradictions.

Using our Eyes to read and our ears to listen and reflect upon Quran, we will note that this book is from our creator. We will note that no human or Jin can write such a book. -
belH,
Can we say that we have been given the criterion, the only parameter to distinguish Quran from other books? That Criterion is in our soul as FURQAAN? That which differentiates between the good and the bad?
Peace.

I hate to disagree with you, but the answer, I believe, is no. God did not hard wire our brain with Quran. We learn the Quran by reading, listening and reflecting upon. God made the Furqaan clear in Quran, but few choose to follow, and the majority choose to follow what their ancestors followed (man made book). And each team will choose to wire their brain by Quran or by Man made book; and each will feel Good (Brain emotions) when they follow what in their brain, and Sad and depressed when failing. If you tell any Suni to not follow Hadith and follow the Quran, He or She will attack you due to the negative emotion that you caused in their brain when attacking their book.
In the following verse you will see how God created us in a way that we can misguide our self when believing (wiring our brain) in the wrong Book; we will dislike Quran and like Hadith.6125 Whoever God wishes to guide, He will open his chest towards submission; and whoever He wishes to misguide, He will make his chest tight and constricted, as one who is climbing towards the sky. It is such that God afflicts those who do not believe.
And that is how God Created us, some will choose to feel comfortable (their Soul comfortable) with Quran and others with man made Book.

Here is another prove that Humans have a choice to develop emotions toward what they have wired in their brain.
2165 And from among the people are some who take other than God as equals to Him, they love them as they love God; but those who believe love God more strongly; and when those who were wicked see the retribution, they will see that all power belongs to God, and that God is severe in retribution.
Some succeeded in Choosing Allah, and other failed. And both type of souls will be rewarded with the positive emotion when thinking about what they love (e.g., God or bukarri).
And if the ones who love other than God choose to repent, they can go and rewire their brain; and the result, they will hate bukarri (negative emotions) and Love God (positive emotions). In other words, All Human Souls were created to like the positive and Hate the negative emotions (Pleasure Seeker and Stress Escapers).
