Peace All
Do any of you work in banks and do you no what is going on, is it worth keeping any money in them or not .The Last thing you want is to be the last person at the end of a bank que trying to take your money out.
I have no trust in my goverment and no that bankers at the bottom end have no clue as to what is going on.So is there any body at the top end.
Peace Salim

No one knows what the eff to do. The people at the top are the ones who got the world in this mess and credit markets are moving like molasses.

The people at the top have skimmed the cream off the banks and tucked it away in a safe haven (country !?). Now we have banks with a lower value and higher debts and the rumour is if the boat gets too wobbly there?s only one option left a central command new order and a single currency.is it worth keeping any money in them or not ..

peace,
The UK has a safeguard that will protect your money up to a certain level, so if you are concerned about losing your money, just spread it about in different banks. Not that I recommend keeping money in banks, I'm just saying.
One of the more interesting things talked about in the national news media is that now the Bank of England is considering printing money to buy up debt (they have done this recently in the USA already), which is likely to go ahead as they dont have interest rates to play with anymore. What I found very interesting was they were openly saying they will print money out of thin air (as is done with all fiat currency) and buy up debt. Can we all see the blatant admission of how the money system is built! Let me repeat, they are openly saying they will print money out of thin air, buy up debt (which means loans, property, assets, houses etc), which means the bank gets them for effectively nothing, and the process starts again. A perfect example of how the corrupt fiat currency money system works.

Well, we'll see what the real deal is with President Obama as time goes on.What is always interesting to note is his nomination to Chief Of Staff - Rahm Emmanuel. After working for Clinton, this guy made his millions being an investment banker, then later sat on the Board of Freddie Mac where in this time, the company was plagued with scandals involving campaign contributions and accounting irregularities. He then resigned in 2001 after being slated by the OFHEO. He also sided with the Hawks in supporting the action in Iraq.
They kept all of this quiet.
So why is their so much surprise that (after 'overlooking' his Chief of Staff's involvement in the mismanaged financial sector etc) Obama isn't different to all of the other Presidents who did their little dirty deals out of the public spotlight.? Could the Messiah not be the Messiah??!
Be interesting to note whether the 'ass kissing' other newspaper outlets (once mentioned above) mention anything of interest on these matters. I suspect not. -

This is, unfortunately, how our politicians work today. The politicians themselves steal money (e.g. 'Jacqui' Smith ) directly, encourage private companies to steal money from the taxpayer (read Private Eye magazine), whore themselves out to rich tax exiles (Mandelson, George Osbourne, Rothschild) and waste billions of tax payers pounds in unnecessary stupidity (I.D. cards, 'PFI', NHS I.T. system, online conveyancing etc.).
The three main political parties are essentially the same in wanting larger, more intrusive government, which governs for the super-rich elite at the expense of normal people. It is essentially an oligarchy, and the example you give is a good one. If the government has guaranteed people's money (upto 50,000) then what is the big deal if these banks go bust, which they deserve?
Unfortunately most people are simply stupid, for a variety of reasons, and do not see the situation for what it is.
As for what individuals can do right now (this has been mentioned before), purchasing gold is a good option, however there are problems in that such as storage and theft. Furthermore having gold in a paper currency situation is difficult. Probably, the best option is to go to the amazon/outback and live the life of a nomad! They won't be affected by this crisis!
Perhaps a discussion of long term plans for individuals would be a good idea.
