No idol worshipper ever called self made idols as Rabb. They are always named and introduced as Illaha. If you know one pl tell me. The people who befool others ane not bigger fool to describe their hand made statue as Rabb. It will expose their fraud very quickly.

There aren?t to my knowledge any idols in sura 12, it?s all about Joseph.
When ever one goes in their behavior in opposition to Gods commands you are doing shirk.
Shirk isn?t about statues or stone idols of any sort ? according to my research.

He said "O my Lord! the prison is more to my liking than that to which they invite me Unless Thou turn away their snare from me, I should (in my youthful folly) feel inclined towards them and join the ranks of the ignorant."God Bless.

Coming from the Christian faith and the prevelant idolatry within, both in Catholic and Protestant sects, I stand by my interpretation and context of the Surah.
If you wish to keep stone idols as icons of God, a spiritual being that man cannot gaze upon without dying, that's on you.
Believe or believe not. I'm not a guardian.

In my opinion, only sentient beings can be 'Rabb' as the Rabb acts and takes care of things.
Absolutely, but i suppose a mans actions could be Rabb as well- does it necessarily have to be an entity?
But anything could be an 'ilah' even stone idols.
How can stone idols be Ilah? do they have any attributes like Allah?

I personally destroyed all the Marvel and DC comics statuettes, trophies from past accomplishments, and destroyed original statuettes along with the molds when I came to know God. Tore down posters and images of heroes and movie posters as well. I'm not willing to endanger my soul in a matter like this.

Yes any intelligent being can be a Rabb. Like in Joseph's time, the King was called a Rabb. God is your highest Rabb. Pharaoh thought he was the highest Rabb. So a Rabb is a disposer of affairs. The ancients didn't worship the stone but thought the stone represent a diety that can respond by praying to his/her image. Now I am an apologetic for paganism. So God send messengers first to correct this. He didn't punish them immediately.

12106 is talking about shrk/associating with God - that only happens when you obey others, in opposition to God, and stones don't talk back so they have nothing to say.
You are correct Stones/idols cannot do anything. Why have them then?
If they cannot do anything, why does the quistion arrise to have them or not have them at all?
I don't believe God is talking about stones as such about our actions which are in oppostion to His attributes, which cause all harm to other people, unlike His attributes which are for the benefit.

God has sent messengers to stop people doing harm to one another- its repeated throughout the quran and stop people committing shrk-obeying others who lead you in the opposite direction to Gods way.
These people who have mistranslated the quran in the first place where worshippers- like bowing prostrating to stones, Hindus, they have , i believe devised the method "don't worship stone but worship Allah" when actually it is "don't serve others then Allah" and that can only be living people and not stones as stones have nothing to say = i reckon, don't you?

Yes. Shirk goes both ways. Don't take multiple Rabbs like Kings and Tyrants(Remember Joseph and Moses). And don't take multiple Ilah which are abstract dieties which could be a dead person and is usually presented as a physical object.(Remember Noah and Abraham).

Exactly. These idols are not haphazard. They represent the Jinn and past humans. Thats why God says most people believe in the Jinn and says that what you are calling are humans like you and they are dead and they won't respond.
