Well, that is your belief. My belief is that it is best to answer the question and that dialogue is good. And furthermore is this question any more offensive than the 'Muslims are violent and we must act to stop their violence' assumption that all the western press carry - the 'Muslim problem'?
Of course this question fails to answer the overwhelming death count in favour of the Europeans (3,000 v many millions).

The Europeans killed more people because they had more advanced technology.
I agree with Jankrens sentiments on this matter. The technology gap that existed beginning in the 1800's was unprecedented in the history of humanity. Normally throughout history the East to West strip that encompassed large parts of Europe, North Africa, parts of the Middle East (mostly Persia/Iraq/Syria) and China were evenly matched when it came to technology and weapon technology, some other areas would also catch up, but due to their geographic location it was difficult for them to maintain that status. Even during the dark ages, Europe was not outmatched by the various Muslim empires when it came to weaponry. However, beginning in the 1800's European technology and weapon technology advanced well beyond the level of all their main competitors. This advantage allowed Europeans to essentially take what they wanted whenever they wanted, simply because they could. This has been a constant throughout human history and continues to this day.
Keep in mind its not White people that did these things. It was mostly British, French, and Americans that participated in what is normally associated with the huge levels of barbarity that occurred during the Imperialist era. Romanians, Swedes, Bulgarians etc are technically "White" but did not participate in enslaving Africans or wiping out entire ethnic groups.

I would like to add, its a sad irony of history that these people were destroyed because the whites (french, british, americans) became extremely wealthy and powerful because of the stolen resources , food, and material they took from these cultures, native americans and australians, if it wasnt for the new foods and materials they exploited from the native american continent they never would have become so powerful, in fact it was this exploitation of their resources that caused the sudden increase in food, population, wealth, weapons, etc, that gave rise to the economic, and industrial revolutio. This thereby gave whitey an extreme advantage over the others at the time and they had no match. SO, as a native american, im sorry to the rest of the world for what whitey did to you because of us.

However, it is completely true that white people (in general) have travelled to distant lands for the sole purpose of invading, conquering, colonizing, and enslaving, a crime they still commit today! It doesn't have anything to do with technology, since the Nubians and Egyptians were extremely developed thousands of years ago, even beyond what some of the European countries have attained TODAY. They developed superior methods of travelling the world thousands of years ago too. Yet, they never invaded foreign countries with the sole purpose of capturing and enslaving people, and their gruesome enslaving of the Israelites mentioned in the Torah is not even comparable to the European and American slave trade, which ended up being based solely on race and skin color... Yeah true. I mean its a fact that Europeans were heavily involved in global slave trade but its also a fact that they (the British) were also the first to actually put great effort to abolish slavery.
And today nobody can deny that Western European societies are the most accepting in the world.

Just because the powerful Western Europeans were such barbaric savages doesnt mean all Europeans were like that. All this is human nature called 'The power of situation'. When you are on top you will be more inclined to think lesser of those whom you perceive to be below you and you will come up with excuses to treat them like animals.
Even the great Arab historian Ibn Khaldun referred the less civilized northern Europeans, black Africans and desert Arabs as 'dumb animals'.
SO, as a native american, im sorry to the rest of the world for what whitey did to you because of us.

It's all good. I live in the SF/Bay Area, in a small town next to Oakland, CA. Even where I am the environment is what we all call the 'hood due to a nature of Us vs. Them against the police. I'm the token cracker so the rest of the community doesn't feel bad.

Racism towards white people has been steadily growing over the years. It will get worse before it gets better. You will know a person's heart by the fruit of their works.
Our leaders brought it on us. It's up to us, in our own communities and families, to strive to combat this as well as the corruption our governments force us under on a daily basis. If anyone falls prey to promoting racism, they are further the agenda of iblis, satan You do his work for him.
Point the blame where it should rest, not on easy targets. You'll find some white people have adopted the traits of our brothers-in-community We don't walk around saying "I hope nothing happens..." &
We say "Man, I hope something happens!" rotfl

That thread seems to be more about slavery rather than anything else. This post is more encompassing than that. One issue I really only touched on was the issue of trade. When you read how the Portuguese, Dutch and the British 'traded' with India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia and attempted to with China and Japan, you see something more akin to a parasite. A similar thing also happened with Egypt and France. These people were never interested in fair and equitable trade, but wanted to engage in war by deception. This continues today with the multi-national companies, the IMF etc. which do their best to ensure the non-European countries remain poor at the expense of ethnic Europeans. This means, for example, that Europeans destroy African farming through being able to undercut them. You then get a vicious cycle leading to death and ill health.
Is there a similar example of such a systematic abuse of trade that has ever occurred? Their current power in the world is to a great extent based on this abuse which has been going on since the middle ages (another nail in the coffin of the technology argument).

You obviously didn't read the whole thread. It talks about all kinds of injustices committed by "white people" (even though they're not the only ones, per se) throughout history, even to the point of completely rewriting history to fit their own ideas, beliefs, and perceptions in viewing themselves as the heroes and "good guys". The issue of slavery is a very small part of the thread, and the main focus is on what "white people" have done throughout history since their origin, especially in reference to modern religions, including Islaam, Judaism, and Christianity. This is still happening today... In fact, there have already been, to my knowledge, at least THREE other threads addressing the same issues presented in this one. Like I said, you should do a search, and check them out. Most of them have some pretty interesting and enlightening information within them...

The problem with this thread is that it is judging people as groups. Everyone is judged individually. Every individual is responsible for their own actions.
You can't bunch people into groups and hold everyone in that group responsible for a member's actions.

It's a glaring error in the quran, unless it is being misinterpreted, which I think it is. I think you have to redefine what the word "jew" means in the quran.
If it's being interpreted correctly then the quran would contain a contradiction because god is not supposed to commit such logical fallacies. -

i think some ayaths focus on the "common belief" when addressing a general society, but above ayaths prove that all the people are not put in the same basket. so i think it not just wrong but also against Quran to say otherwise.

I have friends who are Scriptural Unitarians. They too worship God and only God, and follow the teachings of Jesus. It affords many opportunities for us to share our belief in God, and insha'Allah, they too will come to Al-Islam.
They already have started to read the Quran. D
