Stoning Punishment in the Bible

My concern is only upto Bible.
Do you want to say that the Bible is corrupted .This Punishment is not present in original bible the Bible ? Did I correctly get your point of view ?
Any evidence for it ?
Secondly ,when Quran endorsed the Old Scriptures (Musaddiqan) ,which Bible was present Original or Corrupted one ? Should I assume the Quran endorsed the Corrupted Bible ?Regards

Qur'an contains in it the prior scriptures else no need to repeat the same stories; therefore, no stoning in Quran and likewise no stoning in prior scriptures.
They said, "O Shu`aib, we do not comprehend many of the things you are telling us, and we see that you are powerless among us. If it were not for your tribe, we would have stoned you. You have no value for us."
"If they discover you, they will stone you, or force you to revert to their religion, then you can never succeed."

Seems like it was the norm back then. Don't you think? There are many references in the Koran to stoning and I would not be surprised if societies of early Arabia were the same.

Back then it was easy to pick up a rock and bash someone's head in, and look who was being threatened.

Seems pretty much what people at the time practiced. Why would stoning to death be so different from crucifixion or execution or cutting the hands and feet from oppossite sides. Its what the Romans, Assyrians, Persians and everybody else practiced. This is their cultural norms. We may not see it like that but the Koran came down to humns. maybe 200 years from now people could look at us and see us as barbaric. Its all relative. I do not see these as Divine laws. Maybe thats the difference between me and some here. I don't see the Koran as a theocratic scripture. To me its a theological Book. But I think it does not make any sense to see stoning as something barbaric. The people at the time saw it as a way of punsihment and certainly the Koran did not see crucifxion, which is more painful than stoning, as anything but the norms of the audience.

You can fight with rocks, bottles, guns, knives, bombs, fists, wild dogs, whatever while waging war; that is not the issue.
Let's not kid ourselves -- Q_student raised this topic of stoning pertaining to the punishment for adultery; Qur'an says lashes in public while the traditionalists all point back to hadith stories propagating bible stories as their source.
Qur'an is the final authority on the punishment which is flogging -- period.
To say otherwise is a lie, simple as that, and I don't care what some supposed according to so and so Bible says.

There are no legal punishments mentioned in the Injeel. Yet the Koran says that Christians should rule by the laws and path of the Injeel. Injeel is the NT. I think that the Koran has a different understanding of what "rule by the scriptures" mean.
It is also incorrect to say the Koran does not mention so and so without asking ourselves did the Koran came to verify so and so. The Koran did not lay a whole framework like the Torah did, but the Torah did not add anything new to the Israelites. It seems it was how people at the time governed themselves. There is a tendency to look at all the verses in the Koran as part of the Deen. This is a Sunni mindset. First we need to identify what the Koran means by deen.
There is also a tendency to equate Muhammad's biography and experiences as Divine, another Sunni mindset. It is clear from the Koran that stoning was very much a practiced traditions during the nations of many prophets like Abraham, Noah and Shu'aib. However it could have been alien to the Arabs, or maybe it was something they practiced. But to say these laws are Divine indicates that anything endorsed on the people of Madina is Divine and absolute. Well if this was the case then why has not the Koran given us a complet legal framework. This actually supports the Sunni argument that the Koran is insufficient and we need the Sunnah to know Shariah law. Shariah Law is not even a Koranic concept.
There is creeping Sunnism going on.

Let the People of the Gospel judge by what God hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what God hath revealed, they are (no better than) those who rebel. (Surah 5, Maida, verse 47)
Therein here is whats therein in the Gospel.
But why do they come to thee for decision, when they have (their own) Law before them?- Therein is the (plain) command of God; yet even after that, they would turn away. For they are not (really) people of faith. (Surah 5, Maida, verse 43)
Therein here is the OT. Notice the Gospel has no earthly laws yet the Koran still saw it as a Book of guidance and in equal footing with the OT and spoke of it as if its sufficient on its own.
2.41 And believe in what I reveal, confirming the revelation which is with you, and be not the first to reject Faith therein, nor sell My Signs for a small price; and fear Me, and Me alone
Here it is clear that the Koran came to confirm the revelation that is with them, meaning the OT.
2.89 And when there comes to them a Book from God, confirming what is with them,- although from of old they had prayed for victory against those without Faith,- when there comes to them that which they (should) have recognized, they refuse to believe in it but the curse of Allah is on those without Faith.
Its also clear here what they should have recognized mean. Its not every nitty gritty detail but the general outline of the Koran and its major themes which are the same as the OT.
To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety so judge between them by what God hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way. If God had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to God; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute; Surah 5 Verse 48
Here the Koran makes it clear that each of these scriptures are equal in footing and each are a guidance in their own way and it was never its intention for any of these scriptures to be neglected or abandoned but indeed each is sufficient as a guidance. They suppliment each other and not abrogate each other.
And they say "None shall enter Paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian." Those are their (vain) desires. Say "Produce your proof if ye are truthful."Nay,-whoever submits His whole self to God and is a doer of good,- He will get his reward with his Lord; on such shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. The Jews say "The Christians have naught (to stand) upon; and the Christians say "The Jews have naught (To stand) upon." Yet they study the (same) Book. Like unto their word is what those say who know not; but God will judge between them in their quarrel on the Day of Judgment. 2.111-113
This is a nullification of takfirism. It says bring forth your proof, meaning from the scriptures. None of the scriptures justifies takfirism on a monotheist and doer of good

We must be careful from those who simply left hadiths because of post modernist pressure, want to create a modern style society or a secular one like the ones in Denmark or Sweden, saw the Koran as vague and ambigous about these issues and felt they can put a spin on the verses of the Koran. But all the while they want to keep their takfirism, and want to do the same with the previous scriptures that they did with the hadith. All of this is because they have inherited a theocratic mindset from Islamic societies and are not able to let go. People should question hadiths because they CONTRADICT the Koran and they were not sanctioned by the Koran or the prophet and his companions and not because they are problematic issues in it. Any 7th century society will seem to us as strange just like we would seem to them as strange. We are not to judge other people, the Koran itself tells us that these are past nation, they have their deeds and we have ours.
This is why many people see Koranist as closet liberals or secularist or Western influenced upper class Muslims.

To be honest I still do not know what he is saying. I think he wants me to comment on the verses. You know the OT was always difficult. The earlier Christians were reluctant to include it in their scriptures because they say it as too legalistic and punitive. But in the end they had no choice. Its too rich of a scripture. But because he is not able to accept the historicity and the environment the OT came he is not able to accept it. He still understands the term rule by the Tawrat or rule by the Koran in a theocratic way. like the way we understand laws in today's society. the Koran says the same about the Injeel, yet the Injeel has very little if any theocracy or public policy. But it talks about justice and mercy and fairness, the details is not what the Koran is talking about as they can differ from society to society. But many Koranist come from a Sunni background and they understand the terminolgies the way Sunnis use them. They see the OT as another hadith in steroids and are trying to find a way to ignore them but the verses in the Koran about the validity of the previous scriptures got them stuck.
They see any talk of lack of theocracy as secularism. But by their insistence on trying to create a theocracy from the Koran they are stretching the Koran beyond its design and are taking us back to Imam Al Shafi who also came up with another revelation to provide a theocracy and an orthodoxy that the Koran did not provide.
This is a very sensitive issue. But the good news is that they will not be able to achieve this theocracy of theirs from the Koran, although i believe some want to put some spin on the verses of the Koran to make it look modern. Other can put their spin also. Just like Sallat and haj(orthodoxy), we will not be able to agree and will have to accept pluralism. We can't go back to Imam Malik and Al Shafi and company.

Lets clarify a misunderstanding, the previous Book is NOT the whole Bible. It is just the Book of Moses(whatever that is).
The problem is that the Pentateuch is clearly a pseudepigrapha written by historians during exile. This is evidenced by its chronological order(historians write like this), third person address of God and Moses at the same time, narrating post-sinatic events and being too big for the tablets to contain.
The rest of the Bible is also a collection of the most politically correct pseudepigraphas. Do you really think that Job wrote the Book of Job? What about Judges or the Book of Kings? Why is the whole Bible a historical narrative? The short answer is forgery. NOT corruption. Many muslims fall for the trap of corruption which can be easily refuted. There is a difference between corruption and fraud.
