If you were to die very soon, can you offer your organs before before you are due to die?
I've been watching a korean drama, that I am sooo obsessed with, and the main character was shot in the head and he will definitely die. He has 3 months left to live. His friend has a problem with his heart and will die without a transplant. So the main character wants to offer his heart to him, meaning he will die earlier, to save his friend and to do a good deed before he dies.
What are your views on this? It sounds really generous but at the same time aren't we taught that suicide is wrong?

I do not think organs would be removed before someone is officially and medically declared dead. Death is decided by the brain stopping functioning, even though the heart may still be beating. I do not think brain donation exists. This might be murder/suicide.
I have already signed that my organs be donated (if they are not expired by then ;D). I am indifferent whether the person/s benefiting from them is a friend or a foe. Anyway, I wouldn't know, of course!!

It is a heart donation, not brain lol. and you can donate your organs before you die. like donating a kidney. you can donate your heart too but it means you will die unless they install a pacemaker i think.
The one offering his heart got shot in the head so he will be dying in less than 3 months.
Theyre not just friends. the story is a little complicated. His mother had an affair and gave birth to him, so the driver took him to the orphanage and told the lady that his son died, just to protect her honour as she is a famous actress and catholic. so the lady adopted another boy. her real son and her adopted son became friends then the adopted son became ill and needed a heart transplant. so in a way, they are brothers and the biological son wants to save his brother's life. If you had a brother, you'd want to do the same right?
Thats why he wants to donate his heart to him. he's going to die in a few weeks anyway.

I would consider the action a highly honorable sacrafice. To give up any amount of your own lifespan for someone else is very noble.

I know it's a heart transplant, that's why I said it's not a suicide because the death, and thus organ removal, is not declared by the heart stopping but by the brain stopping to function.
Also that's what I meant by brain donation would be murdre/suicide. I mean this is the only donation that can be a crime. My post was in response to your question at the end of your post.

oh ok you mean if someone dies because of a problem with their brain (like the real son in the soap opera) their heart will still be beating for sometime and can be donated
but if you donate your heart before you die knowing that it will cause you to die, is that ok?
because in the case of the soap opera, the adopted son can die any day soon if he doesn't find a heart donor, so they can't wait 3 months for the real son to die

Be prayerful, and fear God, no evil shall touch you including a bullet. Turn the drama to reality and teach the people, that you shall save your own heads from the bullets if you have a way! Truly, God's way is the Real way! Not giving away organs for transplantation. Stay away from the modern medicine for it is the root cause for all evil.

                Peace.

So people who get shot don't fear God? how about little innocent kids?

                    Peace,

Who fears God, and upon who God's Mercy is as a result, no pains for them in their hearts while they live or when they die; and they neither fear nor worry for the evil shall not touch them. Their lives are wholesomely good, bettering itself by the moment. Seek guidance and wisdom to ward off evil and put your Trust in Him alone that he shall join you with the society, righteous that are to inherit the earth and that the little innocents and all those with the wisdom shall prevail over the terrorists, by His Leave. Behold, the fire did not touch Ibrahim when the command from Allah cooled the flames.

I don't understand. Teach them what? You can't save your head from a bullet.

When we consider the innocent kids being killed by the bullets as disagreeable to our heart, at the same time we also take into account those children who die a painful death at the hands of physicians and surgeons with their drugs and knives after a long ordeal. Innocent kids under the grip of terrorists and ignorant and gullible public at under the mercy of terrible and arrogant modern medicine with its deadly subject. The only way to get rid off these unfortunate eventualities is to turn to the Almighty for might and righteousness.

How is modern medicine evil? People can die without transplants.

Modern medicine (MM) is loud mouthed nuisance. It is not scientific as it is claiming and propagating throughout the world for it does not know the basics of health and ill health. Even today it is ignorant of the question whether the bacteria is good or bad for the health. They have two theories one theory says it is necessary for the health; and another theory nullifies the first theory that the bacteria are bad for the body. Thus MM gropes in the dark. People die without transplants? They will die with the transplants too, the difference in the death is in the latter, the people are tortured to death, as long as they survive painfully.

                    Have a good thinking.

                    .

The Quranic verse says what is forbidden is suicide out of animosity. So dying for a noble purpose isnt exactly a suicide.

Even if you feel well protected behind a fortress strongly built, you have to reach the place of destiny of extinction. Mostly the people feel secured behind the walls of ICU - Intensive Care Unit without knowing that their final days have been reached and they are lying on the bed executing their last breathing before final extinction. Believe the Almighty and stay home expecting a worthy life ahead by His Grace and Mercy.

                        Peace.

                          Peace,
                          Respectfully.

Once the person is dead, without a heartbeat, then it is okay to donate all the organs that another person can have benefit of. Heart, liver, kidneys, loungs,....
I would donate my eyes as well, but after my death of course. I'm not saying that a blind person would see with my eyes but it is one of the way finding out, right?

                          Glory be to our God.
                          Peace.

I understand what you are trying to say but if someone is very ill and will die without a transplant, thats exactly whats going to happen, they will die. True, transplants are risky but at least there is a chance to save that person's life.

I still believe that it is up to God to decide whether the transplant will work or not, but He will not help us until we help ourselves first. He will not make the cancer magically disappear. Not that he can't.
Its like having a job interview thinking that your fate is in God's hands so you turn up unprepared wearing the scruffiest clothes.

These are my thoughts too. Leaving a patient to pray for cure is like praying for fruits when you only have to go out your house and buy them.

Yes there are pseudo-medical researchers but what needs to be understood is that science is a method of understanding our earthly reality.....any other method we are shooting in the dark so to speak.

                              PEACE

Then allopathy is adventure or misadventure - it is pure gambling; a chance game on patients; it is not scientific but double-blind with its double blind studies. Here I want to submit if allopathy is so pathetic, then it is fully justified to seek any other system of medicine other than allopathy.

In no other system organ failure is possible for only in allopathy anti immune drugs, such as anti-biotics, ant-pyretic drugs, analgesic drugs, anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-histaminic drugs, the killer and deadly cortisone drugs that destroy all immunity of the bodily system exists that kills the patients with its drugs . As a survivor of brain aneurysm and having had two brain surgeries , I am definitely donating any organs required when my time comes . Even before I found out about my 'anni' , I was already a registered organ donor which I re-affirm every year when I renew my driver's license . Why waste the body when someone else could benefit from it ? After all it belongs to God and my soul doesn't need it anymore .

                                        Cheers

As a survivor of brain aneurysm and having had two brain surgeries , I am definitely donating any organs required when my time comes . Even before I found out about my 'anni' , I was already a registered organ donor which I re-affirm every year when I renew my driver's license . Why waste the body when someone else could benefit from it ? After all it belongs to God and my soul doesn't need it anymore .

                                          Salam almarh0m,

I'm sorry to hear about your aneurism and thank God for your your recovery.
I agree. Your organs will rot and be eaten by worms, might as well save someone's life right!
