Salam nsws1988,
I believe I missed the start of he episode but what I could catch was
Professor Fadhil Sali7 Al Samarrae'ey talked about the levels of Jannat and the difference between the term "beneath them" and "from beneath them" the rivers run... and that "from" "min " indicates the source. So whenever you see "run from beneath them the rivers" those words mean that the source of the running river is actually springing from beneath the feet of those well-rewarded people, and not just pass beneath them like the only one case that is found in the ayah (9100)And the first forerunners among the Muhjireen and the Ansr and those who followed them with good conduct ? Allh is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him, and He has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. That is the great attainment. (9100)
That although muhajireen and ansaar are still in jannat but, not in the higher level of al anbiya'a and al shuhada'a...
He also talked about Al asma'a al 7usna al Mumin true to His words. Al Muqeet the Provider of Qoot. Al Mutakabbair (sorry but that I don't know how to translate....)
Samarrae'ey also talked about Yajooj and Majooj and that Herodotus wrote about the incident where Tho al qarnain met those people,,, in details that are almost identical to what we have in Quran! That is all I could get..

Salam,
I forgot to mention that Professor Samarra'ey also spoke about the difference between the word "3am" and the word "sanah". Both mean year in English but in Arabic they have different connotations.. 3am is the year when one experiences comfort in his life while sanah is the opposite; Sanah is a year when one goes through hardship. The plural of 3am "a3waam", he added, was never mentioned in Quran. While "sineen" the plural of sanah did appeare in Quran.

Salam and thanks Taj
Hmm thats interesting about sana and 3am as, these days at least, they mean the same in Arabic but in Classical arabic they could have meant what you just said as we don't get meny synonyms in Arabic.
What did you mean about how we learned about Yajooj and Majooj from the Quran? As I never really understood the story. Some people say that Yajooj and Majooj weren't people but maybe rivers or volcanoes. -
Salam nsws1988,
Oh, me sorry! I meant the people that Thol Qarnain met and helped against Yajooj and Majooj. Samarrae'ey did not mention who or what were Yajooj or Majooj. However, the show host mentioned that they would bring up this particular topic in another regular show also with Professor Samarrae'ey, called "Who writes history?" next Sunday; no mentioning of what time exactly, but most probably the same timing as Lamasat Bayaniyiah. So we better wait for that show too sun

I think she is very brave, God be with her.

WOW
bravo
One thing I disagree with is the hand cutting-off bit but like she said the keys to understanding the Classical Arabic language of the Quran is being kept a secret.
I just wanted to pull Dr Walid by his beard grrrrr
I didn't understand the motive of the person who posted the video. He wanted to show that Islam is unequal when the lady was actually saying that God created us all equal!Salam nsws1988,
They are two different shows by the same two people Professor Samarrae'ey and his host. The first show is called Lamasat Bayaniyah that airs on Mondays and Thursdays. The other show is "Who writes history?" and it is on Sundays.

AHA Thank you handshake
