    Peace

I need assitance here. The verse 17

Sirata allatheena anAAamta AAalayhim ghayri almaghdoobi AAalayhim wala alddalleena

The path of those whom Thou hast favored; Not (the path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray.(Picktall)

The way of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, not of those who have been condemned , nor of those who go astray! (Asad)

The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray. (Yusof Ali)

Which of the above bold best suit the verse 17?
What is the word in arabic text 17 describe the words favoured/blessings/grace?

Khaiyran Katheeran which means abundant good to the other 2 interpreters but according to Asad it means wealth abundant. A clarification on this is also appreciated.

      "You blessed".

      "whom You blessed"

This is not word for word translation.. but as close to the original as I could.

      Khaiyran goodness
      Katheeran plenty/ a lot.

        salaam,

        this is my current comprehension

        1. Sirata allatheena anAAamta1 AAalayhim ghayri almaghdoobi AAalayhim2 wala alddalleena3

        2. It is the way of those You made comfortable, not the objects of anger, nor the astray.

        3. IV ?to make good, nice, comfortable, pleasant; to give, bestow, confer; to bestow favours, be graciously disposed; to apply o.s., devote o.s., take great pains.? 2. ?object of anger.? 3. ?(s) straying, roaming, wandering; astray, lost; erroneous, false.?

what does 'objects of anger' means?

        • an angry person

        • an angry person who earns the anger of God, and every other person, as well as every other creations of God.

effectively the 'du'a' is to be a 'muslim'.
may God guide us all on the correct/honorable path, insha-Allah.

        peace
        mohammed noh

          peace,

          e.g.
          Using the tools at http//www.studyquran.org

One of the most accurate ways to do any study of The Quran is to identify the root, then use http//www.studyquran.co.uk/PRLonline.htm

This method takes time but leads to a very accurate analysis.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.
