Well, there are other important female figures in the Quran, for example Mary. BTW is she a messenger, or what is she classified as?

        Peace

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.

          Peace,

Prophethood is exclusive to men. Thats the ruling of God. It is a very tough job anyway.

Can you quote a verse from Al-Quran to back up your statement?

                Peace,

Messengers and messages come in all forms, shapes and sizes (pardon the expression), and there are more of them still that Allah did not mention in the Quran.

And messengers about whom We have related to you before and messengers about whom We have not related to you. And Allh spoke to Moses with speech. (4164)

If you would like to check here

And He is the subjugator over His servants, and He sends over you guardian-angels until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers take him, and they do not fail . (661)

"O company of jinn and mankind, did there not come to you messengers from among you, relating to you My verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "We bear witness against ourselves"; and the worldly life had deluded them, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers. (6130)

And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allh a lie or denies His verses? Those will attain their portion of the decree until when Our messengers come to them to take them in death, they will say, "Where are those you used to invoke besides Allh?" They will say, "They have departed from us," and will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers. (737)

And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy until, when they have carried heavy rain clouds, We drive them to a dead land and We send down rain therein and bring forth thereby of all the fruits. Thus will We bring forth the dead; perhaps you may be reminded. (757)

And when We give the people a taste of mercy after adversity has touched them, at once they conspire against Our verses. Say, "Allh is swifter in strategy." Indeed, Our messengers record that which you conspire. (1021)

And certainly did Our messengers come to Abraham with good tidings; they said, "Peace." He said, "Peace," and did not delay in bringing a roasted calf. (1169)

But when he saw their hands not reaching for it, he distrusted them and felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not. We have been sent to the people of Lot." (1170)

And when the messengers came to the family of Lot, (1561)

And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man. (1917)

He said, "I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you a pure boy." (1919)

Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them to with incitement? (1983)

Allh chooses from the angels messengers and from the people. Indeed, Allh is Hearing and Seeing. (2275)

praise is to Allh, Creator of the heavens and the earth, made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allh is over all things competent. (351)

The qur'aan uses this term for a mixed-gender group. This cannot be evidence for males

Maybe these two women, who are exmples for mu'mins, are messengers

                    6611

                    And Allah citeth an example for those who believe the wife of Pharaoh when she said My Lord! Build for me a home with thee in the Garden, and deliver me from Pharaoh and his work, and deliver me from evil-doing folk;
                    6612

And Mary, daughter of 'Imran, whose body was chaste, therefor We breathed therein something of Our Spirit. And she put faith in the words of her Lord and His scriptures, and was of the obedient.

The Quran use Rijal as the opposite of Nisaa.

This meaning perfectly fits the discussed verse so there is most probably no female prophets.

women can't be messengers, they scream giving birth. And also there is a defect in their religion too so how can they guide others to straight path?

                          Also meaning on foot.

The context rules. Vers 1643 does not have a context to support either meaning.

And if ye go in fear, then (pray) standing or riding. And when ye are again in safety, remember Allah, as He hath taught you that which (heretofore) ye knew not.

And proclaim unto mankind the pilgrimage. They will come unto thee on foot and riding; they will come from every deep ravine,

In the Bible there are women who seem to be in some vague regarded as Prophets. But not really. In the Christian Bible, in the Gospel of Luke there's a Prophet Anna who's a complete enigma in Christianity.

Maybe there were, maybe there weren't but would it make a difference? I mean people rarely listened to the prophets and messengers, regradless of the gender. Even today, people follow their desires rather then someone who is smart, male or female.

                              Peace.

Mary was told about a future event (345-47) and only messengers are told of future events (7227) so it's likely that Mary was a messenger. I think all the prophets were males simply because many past societies wouldn't have listened to women. I could be wrong though. Maybe there were female prophets that the great reading simply doesn't name.

women can't be messengers, they scream giving birth.

Men would scream a lot more than women do if men gave birth. Women have a greater pain threshold than men. And so what if women scream when they give birth? What effect does that have on their ability to be prophets?

And also there is a defect in their religion too so how can they guide others to straight path?

That's Sunni/Shia garbage. There's no verse in the great reading that suggests women have "a defect in their religion".

All this talk about "men are superior" or "if a woman would be a prophet she would not guide us on the right path", etc. is total rubbish. Women and men are equal.

"Their Lord responded to them "I never fail to reward any worker among you for any work you do, be you MALE OR FEMALE, YOU ARE EQUAL TO ONE ANOTHER/ALL AS EACH OTHER..." (3195)

I am guessing there are more/only male prophets because in the past, women weren't respected as much and didnt have as much rights. For example, Prophet Muhammad gave women more right/equal rights because of the teachings of the Quran. If a woman would have done so in 7th century barbaric Arabia then she woul dmost probably get killed or something. In Europe or another place she would be declared a witch. I guess people were/are still more averse to women. A sad reality.

Men would scream a lot more than women do if men gave birth. Women have a greater pain threshold than men. And so what if women scream when they give birth? What effect does that have on their ability to be prophets?

That's Sunni/Shia garbage. There's no verse in the great reading that suggests women have "a defect in their religion".

Supernaut - I was just going to reply to that one but you got to it first. ;D

I would bet any man if he had to give birth would do the same!

The "defect in religion" is referencing to the fact that women have periods, but that's not something women have control over anyway.
