Is personal revelation alluded to in the Qur'an?

Samuel L. Jackson, as Julius, in "Pulp Fiction"Personally speaking, I have had quite a few moments of clarity, or defining moments, or epiphinanies. Whatever it can be called, I've experienced moments in my life when I felt truly "connected" to something outside of myself. I could see my life, I could be completely objective. In those moments, I could ask for guidance and the guidance comes immediately. The answers are there before the questions arise, as are answers to questions I didn't even know I had. The chain reaction is phenomenal, and in a few moments, I feel as if I've grown a few lifetimes.
Of course I have no way of proving this to anyone. I'm hoping someone else has had similar experiences.
In the context of 4251, Allah does not 'speak' to anyone except through inspiration/revelation, or from behind a veil/barrier. Is it not possible that the barrier is human comprehension? or the form of a dream? Could it be that there is an open channel of communication to Allah? I am not talking about revelation in the form of messengership, but of a personal nature. It seems to me, every time I've asked for guidance, I've gotten guidance. A skeptic might insist that it is my own mind that provides it's own solutions. I'm of the opinion that my own mind is the means, not the source.
I'd be interested in any and all comments...
And it is not for any human being that Allah will speak to him other than through direct Revelation (on the heart of His Messengers) or from behind a barrier (such as at Mount Sinai to Moses) or by sending a Messenger to convey His Words with His Permission (as all Messengers did). Verily, He is the Most High, the Wise.
It is not fitting for a man that Allah should speak to him except by inspiration, or from behind a veil, or by the sending of a messenger to reveal, with Allah's permission, what Allah wills for He is Most High, Most Wise.
And it was not (vouchsafed) to any mortal that Allah should speak to him unless (it be) by revelation or from behind a veil, or (that) He sendeth a messenger to reveal what He will by His leave. Lo! He is Exalted, Wise.
