Yeh i've seen them they're expensive
i'm a strong swimmer alhamdulillah besides it's not like i'm going 20m deep into the ocean so it's ok
also my bro and sis have a pool, so i don't always have to be fully covered, just in publicSalam
Salaam,
Lucky you! Wish I had my own pool ... maybe one day. ;D -
WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT DRESSING CODE, WE HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE LIVING EXAMPLE OF THE PROPHET
HE THAUGHT US ALL
INCLUDING HOW WE SHOULD DREE (BOTH MALE AND FEMALE)
IF YOU HAVE TO DRESS, U HAVE TO COVER YOUR BODY
ALLAHU ALAMU"...We did not leave ANYTHING out of this book." 638
"The word of your Lord is COMPLETE, in truth and justice. Nothing shall abrogate His words. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient." 6115
"Shall I seek other than GOD as a source of law, when He has revealed to you this book fully detailed? Those who received the scripture recognize that it has been revealed from your Lord, truthfully. You shall not harbor any doubt." 6114
"Have they not looked at the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all the things God has created? Does it ever occur to them that the end of their life may be near? Which HADITH, besides this (Quran) do they believe in?" 7185
Muhammed cannot prohibit things
"O you prophet, why do you prohibit what GOD has made lawful for you, just to please your wives? GOD is Forgiver, Merciful." 661"Hijab" or veil can be traced back to early civilizations. It can be found in early and late Roman and Greek art. The evidence can be seen in archeological discoveries whether in pottery fragments, paintings or recorded civil laws. In Greco-Roman culture, both women and men wore head covering in religious contexts. The tradition of wearing the veil (by women) and the headcover (by men) was then adopted by the Jews who wrote it in the Talmud (Talmud equals the Hadiths and Sunna, neither are the words of God) then the Christians adopted the same. A well respected Rabbi once explained to a group of Jewish young women, "We do not find a direct command in the Torah mandating that women cover their heads, but we do know that this has been the continuing custom for thousands of years." After the prophet Muhammad's death , the writers of the hadith books adopted and encouraged the ancient tradition of head covering. Hadith book' writers took after the Jews as they did with many other traditions , and alleged them to the prophet since the Quran did not command it.
Any student of the Jewish traditions or religious books will see that head cover for the Jewish woman (and men) has been encouraged by the Rabbis and religious leaders. Observant Jewish women still cover their heads most of the time and specially in the synagogues, weddings, and religious festivities.
Christian women cover their heads in many religious occasions while the nuns cover their heads all the time.
The Quran doesnt say that women have to cover their hair. Give me one Quranic verse that proves such a thing, if you think you are right.
Peace

yaya - so you follow everything 'according to the prophet'?
So if I was to follow the prophet in everything including wearing Arabic clothing ? What about my following "the Sunnah" of the prophet by having many wives ? ( some says 9 wives , others say more ) , I wish.......... ;D

I love summer we have the best beaches here in Austalia and I wear a one piece pair of bathers. I have a good figure so yea but I would go for the enjoyment of the sun with plenty of sunscrean on and a pair of sunnies. and a nice bannana smoothie MMMMMMMM. on and a hat and thongs on my feet as the sand gets hot ouch.

I live on a small island just off the coast of Texas. Here it gets very hot and numid in the summer and comfortable in the winter so we have people on the beach in all sorts of clothing (or sometimes lack of clothing) throughout the year. Even off the beach, many people walk around in shorts and Tshirt. No one takes any notice, and it is rare to see anyone stare. I suppose it is what you get used to. If you see it all day everyday it is not "exciting".

Over where? We never mentioned a country.
You're not being a good Christian making stupid jokes like that. What would Jesus think? -
I was lauging at the so called swim suit. now that was funny. Nobody has a sence of humour that is why I detest people. plus wearing that to a beach while the guy is wearing normal bathers? I do not get that. a female should not feel ashamed of her body unless she is worried about being fat. God created it and it is nothing to be ashamed about. Look at the miss universe pagents, I love those girls Not like that lol but I love the way they present themselfs with syle and class

You detest? No thats not very Christian of you
You weren't just laughing at the bathing suits. I laughed at them too. Nothing wrong with that.
I was referring to what you had said. Let me remind you...oh hang on over there you would be caught dead anywhere LOL laugh

I agree that people should not be ashamed of the bodies God gave them, but I don't think that the idea of remaining covered is a sign of shame, more of modesty. I may be wrong as I am not Muslim, but I try to understand their beliefs and practices without judging.

I know what you mean. different strokes for different folks I guess
