All rights reserved.Aziz made that statment in a state of facing sudden frustrating embarrassment caused by the statement of his wife when he was accompanied by others, say colleague ministers, bureaucrats of his ministry. His statement was a generalised one since he used the plural. He perhaps tried to diffuse and lessen the tension or embarrassment. And may be he used sarcastically meaning skeleton, flimsy trick, not sustainable. Immediately after that he requested Yusaf alahissalam to ignore and overlook the accusation by his wife and asked to wife to seek forgiveness for her slandering.
Aziz was really a man. My respects to him. How many muslims of today who keep beating the theory of beating wife could resist in such a situation from beating the wife or even murdering her?
And my respects to the lady. She was a courageous lady, to openly admit and confess in the crowded court of king and affirm the truth of the Messenger of Allah, as a primary evidence. To testify against oneself needs courage and moral strength. Circumstantial evidence has its own value but it does leave the possibility for some to doubt in their minds. Her primary evidence removed all such chances of doubting the credentials of Yusaf alahissalam.
The message is that an adopted son is not a son. There is a possibility of jeopardizing the sanctity of relationship. Therefore Allah has decalred that the son is only that whom a woman has given birth or fed breast milk to him. The people of Egypt of that time were very intelligent. They got it that there is something in Yusaf alahissalm that disturbs the other sex. They thought that if the seasoned women of higher society could not resist the stimuli emanating from Yusaf alahissalam others would also get the same effect. The best solution came to their mind was that remove Yusal a.s. away from the eyes of woman for some time.
We know that there is something in certain woman which arouse negative feelings and so are certain men for a limited period of time that they have inexplainable attraction for women. This episode describes that rare phenomenon.
