The first one that Alen gave you is pretty good.

This video here shows how the Coptic Christians pray http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRLFeldPG3Y
and on the right there are references to where similar verses are found in the bible. I'm not sure if all the references are correct but I am sure you can tell.

            Rev. John..
If you examine the 'structure' carefully, you will find some similarities on "The Opening" prayer from Quran and "Our Father" as tought by Jesus.

11 In the name of God, the Almighty, the Merciful.
12 Praise be to God, the Lord of the worlds.
            13 The Almighty, the Merciful.
14 Sovereign of the Day of Judgment.

15 You alone we serve, and You alone we seek for help.

16 Guide us to the straight path.
17 The path of those whom You have blessed, not those who have incurred the wrath, nor the misguided.

Our Father, as authored by Jesus

Our Father, who art in heaven,
            Hallowed be thy Name.
            Thy kingdom come.

            Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.

(Comment this is a very 'important' commandment, implying that the prayer will accept anything that God's willed,
Or in other words being a MOSLEM / Submissive to God's Will)

Give us this day our daily bread.
            And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,
            But deliver us from evil.

            Salam / Peace

We don't follow any other books here as we follow the Quran alone. There are some prayers in the Quran. Other prayers can be made up by the individual.
Progressive1993's link looks good. I think I'll have a read through that myself. (Thanks Progressive!)

                          Salaam to all,

I would like to incorporate at least one (short) Muslim prayer in my Church Sunday services (yes still Sunday unfortunately) at 12 noon each week. Has anyone any suggestions? They would have to be in English of course.

I suggest the reading of what may be (it's hard to take a pick) the most beautiful passage of the Quran

5922 He is God beside whom there is no god. He knoweth things visible and invisible He is the Compassionate, the Merciful.
5923 He is God beside whom there is no god He is the King, the Holy, the Peaceful, the Faithful, the Guardian, the Mighty, the Strong, the Most High! Far be the Glory of God from that which they associate with Him!
5924 He is God, the Creator, the Maker, the Former. He hath most excellent names. Whatever is in heaven and earth praiseth Him And He is the Mighty, the Wise.

                          Peace.

                          Pierre
