I recornise the little demon from my dreams laugh Thats the one that was on me and I could not move. laugh
Actually there is a saying that if you manage to grab the hat off the demon on you, you can bargain with him for treasure. Its an old wifes tail we used to hear when young by our grandparents. Never could get that hat though laughpeace

Besides being choked does anyone know why in your sleep you try to call for help but feel you are held down and can't move? Used to get this a lot when I was younger.

I can't recall it happening to me (maybe it has, but I don't remember) ... but my husband says that especially when he was back in Turkey it happened a lot to him. It's happened some here since he's moved to the U.S., but not as much as it used to. He says it's jinns, and that he's thrown them off of him and one time chased one through his flat. He wasn't joking and I know he wasn't lying.

This is such a silly thread...
a lot of people experience sleep paralysis, and it's more likely if you are stressed, worried, or exhausted.
It is not a silly thread. People are sharing their experiences because the original poster went through it and didn't know what it was.
