A guy a know and me, have been discussing this verse

1644 With proofs and the scriptures. And We sent down to you the Reminder to reveal to the people what was sent to them, and perhaps they will think.

And he keeps telling me that God has given The Quran to messenger/prophet Muhanmmad to explain it to people and that this explanation is the sunna/hadith books.

My question here is this how do you say explain in Arabic and how do you say reveal in Arabic?
