But still from where did the S's come from? P

    'rabies'. LOOOOOOOOL. Thats more accurate.

Often the "s" was added to masculine the name.

So Jonah and Elijah are kinda gays in need of some straightening Greek style. rotfl

But what if the early prophets were not hebrews but greeks?

What if hebrewism started with Ezra and Zecheriah?

But still doesnt make any sense. D

      Or does it?!

          Peace,
          Respectfully.

We don't know the name of Lot's wife, right?

780 And Lot, he said to his people ?Do you commit lewdness such as none of those of the worlds had done before??
781 ?You approach the men out of desire instead of the women! Indeed, you are a transgressing people.?
782 The only response of his people was ?Drive them out of your town; they are a people who wish to be pure!?
783 We saved him and his family, except for his wife; she was of those who were destroyed.
784 And We rained down upon them a rain, so see how was the punishment for the criminals.

(the translation of The Quran on FM is not corrected, at least this chapter, so forgive me)

6612 God puts forth as examples of those who have rejected, the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. They were married to two of Our righteous servants, but they betrayed them and, consequently, they could not help them at all against God. And it was said ?Enter the Fire, both of you, with those who will enter it.?

And also th next verse where God tells us the story (hadeeth!) about pharaoh's wife, whow as apparently a believer but we never hear her name, right?

People take me as a kaffir because my name is Alen. Is it my fault my father gave me this name after Formula One Driver Alain prost? jedi

          Peace.

The problem is consistency...why Zechariah is in hebrew while Jonah and Elijah are in Greek?

            Thats the question.

Or is there something that we don't know?

I think there are lots of things we do not know and probably never will.

                    Peace,
                    Respectfully.

I say we use all our powers and abilities to ask The Exalted God The Most Merciful, to give us even more patience. I say The Patience is The Key.

                    Also

                    Chapter 94
In the name of God, the Almighty, the Merciful.
                    941
                    942
943 Did We not comfort your chest,
944 And take from you your load,
945 Which had put strain on your back?
946 And We have raised your remembrance,
947 So with hardship comes ease.
                    948 With hardship comes ease.

I just hope the moderators/administrators will correct the page .... God willing.

                    Peace.

Ask the translators. In my research translations are never consistent...The translators were under judeo-christian influence, so yes they assigned greek/hebrew names to the arabic.
