That is a stupid and insulting statement and you know it!
It is mainly because they are sheep and are just told what to believe instead of reading the bible and making up their own minds.

I wasn't trying to insult you, and you certainly shouldn't be offended because you DO read the Bible... Still, the truth is many Christians are well aware of what the Bible says regarding their actions. They just don't care because they don't want to give up the religion of their fathers. They just blindly follow whatever they've been taught, simply because they've believed in their entire lives, even if that means they're guilty of blasphemy and idolatry...

As far as I can see, some traditional Muslims are "blasphemers and idolaters". Not a lot different

I agree. But this still doesn't change the idea of total, peaceful submission to God. The traditional Muslims still believe in the total oneness of Allah, while traditional Christians don't. Therefore, the two groups are not the same. In my opinion, there's more righteousness in a traditional (Sunni) Moslem than a Trinitarian Christian who believes that God is "three-in-one", or a Unitarian Christian who believes that God can beget children and punish them for the sins of humanity...

To bigin with Unitarian Christians do not believe that, some may, but it is not within their belief system. Also, why do you hate Christians so much?

Because it directly proves that they are blasphemers and idolators...

I believe that was not the most sensible thing to say. Christians are good people and you never know with time they may very well turn to the Unitarian Churches. Amen

The Christian viewpoint concerning women is a lot worse than the Qur'aanic (Islaamic) one...
                  http//submission.org/women-comp.html

A lot worse? The Quran contains no sexism at all.

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.

When I converted to Islam my mother was fine with it, especially when I told her I only followed the Qu'ran and it was very respectful to women etc.

However my mother let slip to one of her friends that I converted. She was actually disgusted. She then sent me a booklet called "Women and Islam" and it had PAGES of hadiths that put women down in every way. She wrote a letter to my mother basically asking why she has accepted the fact that I've joined a religion where I'm treated like a second class citizen.

I could see her point. I was so disgusted by the book I threw it away.

Did you show her what the Bible says? She would be surprised and perhaps throw it away, just like you threw the book with the hadiths away.

Sunnis are blind followers too! They read the quran in arabic without understanding a single word!

Absolutely, they are blind and full of hate. Today I saw a private message on my youtube account from a "Muslimah" who asked me why I was "posing as a Muslim", since I questioned the authenticity of some sahih hadiths. I gave her sources and links to websites and even showed her the hadiths together with the Quran verses. But she refused to read any of it. I had become a "kafir" in her eyes.

I don't hate Christians, I just think they're the worst of the rejectors. Why? Because they acknowledge God, His prophets, His message, and His system; yet they reject all of these things, simply because they'd rather their salvation be "automatic", based on their worship of Jesus as some sort of divine "son", and they'd rather accept blind faith. This amounts to "shirk"/idol worship...

Because there are hadiths that say that praying at home is better

Narrated by Ibn 'Umar Allah's Apostle said ?Do not prevent women (wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, etc) from (praying at) mosques. Yet, their prayer at home is better (for them).?

And then there are some that say something to the effect that praying in a dark room in the farthest part of your house is better for you (as a woman).

Yeh but hey i can argue you cant stop me from going to the mosque because prophet says so. in regards to dark room etc, i recall that but its for both men and women. For some people that helps in the meditation/concentration..

                              It's still bugging me!

What if the woman gets permission from her husband to go to the mosque, but afterwards, she wants to stop at the 24 hour supermarket on the way back to buy milk. Is this allowed, cos the scholar said she has to go straight home?!

                              rotfl

well if you go to the supermarket apparently you need your husbands permission. Sunni's go by the rule that you need your husband's permission to step out of the house. In this day, not everyone follows the rule by the thumb. People have become more flexible some people aren't. That's their belief a women cannot travel without a mahram unless there is a necessity...

I'm pretty sure it's only for women. Here let me cut & paste some of Khaled Abou el Fadl's book 'Speaking in God's Name'

"These reports coexist with other traditions that assert that the mosque of the Prophet was full of rows of women lining up for prayers. At times, men arriving late for prayer would pray behind women - men would be in the front rows followed by women, followed by rows of men who arrived late. Yet, the prayers of the men who prayed behind the women were considered valid . . .Of course, reports of widespread attendance of prayers by women in mosques create a rather untenable situation. One would have to conclude that all these women ignored the Prophet's advice to pray in dark closets." (242).

"A version of this report purportedly transmitted from the Prophet by 'Abd Allah b. 'Umar, becomes more extreme. It states "The prayer of a woman in their room is better than her prayer house and her prayer in a dark closet is better than her prayer in her room." The same message is then conveyed but this time through the involvement of a woman who reportedly goes to the Prophet to tell him that she loves to pray in the mosque with him. To this the Prophet responds that he knows that she loves to pray with him but gives her the same advice as above. As a result, the woman went home and prayed in the most isolated and the darkest area of her house until she died. The least one can observe about these traditions are their remarkable vindictiveness - the more removed and inaccessible a woman is, the better, and even the love of the Prophet cannot change that fact."

So please do not treat all Christians like those poor misguided souls that elevate others to the level of God.
