oh right, i guess they implicate that they don't care or have belief in afterlife. I wonder then what they think their purpose is.

They just live their life like that. They create short term purposes everyday but nothing collective to strive for.

There are no contradictions, only our lack of understanding. For instance, if I explained to you how something works but you didn't understand would your lack of understanding make it untrue or contradictory? Of course not therefore if the person contradicting dosen't have a clue and you are confused initially then you would become either more confused or doubtful.

        Peace

You cannot base your conclusions on a site which is totally against Islam, these websites want to disillusion you, they would twist the words to make it look like the Quran is the most violent book in history-I've been there and trust me,the internet is full of lies.I wish you read the Quran thoroughly or went to bayans in your local mosque,or google Harun Yahya and Dr Zakir Naik or Yusuf Estes. These are the people you should get your knowledge and source from, not from idiotic low-lifes who have nothing else in life to do.Dont let them drag you down.Peace

Free muslim, I have made up my mind and that is if I decide to be a practising muslim that it will be God alone/Quran only because thats what I believ in. I am very happy that I have come acros people like the monotheist group, this forum and all of their afiliates.

I supose that being an active member of this forum is a litle bit like practising. Actualy to be honest with you I am almost certainly going to be a fully practising God alone muslim.

I gues that no mather what are your views that you will always be welcome at forums like this one.

I wish you all the best in this life and the next!

                Thanks

Who needs a man to communicate with Allah, that is what makes Islam unique,Christians or Jews do not need Jesus(PBUH) or Moses(PBUH) to communicate with Allah nor do we need hadith,Only Allah can judge you Pel.The Quran was made for everyone of all of eternity,80% of the Quran has been proven 100% corect, the remaining 20% has yet to be proven wrong(There are many more facts about the Quran, but time wont permit). The Quran mentions those who are ignorant, just let them be,as you long as you are good to one another,to yourselves.Worship Allah, nothing else matters.Isn't it funny how we agree on issues whilst hadith followers argue about the smallest things.Peace

It seems that Crimson Glow disappeared. I have had a look at the site she emntions, and really, it is just the usual run of the mill islamophobic rantings. It may be a problem for Muslims shaped by tradition and twisting of Qur'anic injunctions to suit narrow views of life and religion, wht the Qur'an the ancestor's religion, but , but they are not intellectual or logically great lights. Nothing that people like those in this forum, able and willing to take de Qur'in in its own terms, should feel wek in the knees about.

                    Salaam

I think it would, because a lot of things I do are things I don't personally feel comfortable with but I only do or believe it because it's my understanding that my religion requires me to do it.

...and therein lies your possibly biggest problem-your "religion" (based on hadeeth and muhammadism, not Qur'an) requires it, and not your faith. this is a huge difference, because faith, you see, is a gift and mercy from God. Religion, on the other hand, is finite, man-made, and usually is bent on excluding certain groups of people, schools of thought, concepts, ideas, and so forth. If you truly will no longer be a "believer", then i respectfully submit that you already are not one now. just because you are a "cradle muslim" means absolutely nothing. it IS what;s in your heart that counts, and it IS your relationship with God that counts, otherwise, when u bend and prostrate 5 times a day, you are just being a little robot going thru insincere motions, because your "religion" requires it; if you were praying from your HEART, out of love for God, this would be a non-issue for you. Do you know that in one country, acid is thrown in the faces of little girls who try to walk to school to learn to read as part of this same "religion"? would u do that? i think not, and there is the problem when little robots do things in the name of religion, instead of followoing their heart, which was created by God, in order to love God. Have you no faith in Him, or yourself? what is a book, after all? Every Qur'an in the world could disappear, does that mean God would disappear as well? it seems that is what u are saying...? I would highly suggest you just begin loving and believing in God.

I'm a born Muslim and I've believed in the Qur'an my whole life but I recently came across "The Skeptic Annotated Qur'an" which just f**ked me over. This website really gave me the creeps and I really don't know what to say. They have so many powerful arguments, not just one or two to be interpreted differently. They list out numerous contradictions and absurdities in the Qur'an which forms just a very long list. It pretty much goes against the Islamic claim that the Qur'an is free from contradictions (and even paradoxes) and that it is completely compatible with science.

I tried searching for answers that refuted these Skeptics but I couldn't find anything. This has been nagging at the back of my head for a long time. I really haven't lost faith in my religion and in my book, but that's simply because I'm too afraid to and because of my instincts. I hope someone will clear this up for me!

I read those, many of them seems arbitrary, silly, or totally false.

What I recommend is reading the Qur'an and making your own Skeptic Annotations. You can find multiple translations at www.islamawakened.com/quran. It might be difficult to access that website though now since you're no longer alive.
