Let's say God exists, and what The Quran says is true, that basically you get (in the next life) what you give (in this life).

Knowing this to be true, and you had the option to choose, which would you opt for?

    1. to not exist (i.e. to have no existence whatsoever, no life, no thought, thus no memory of anything, no feelings etc. and therefore do not have to take the test of life, thus no reward/punishment, nothing)

    2. To have a life, e.g. the one you have, and take the test of this life, which you might pass (reward), or you might fail (punishment).

    3. Undecided

I can appreciate I have simplified slightly, but it is for the purpose of the poll. If you wish to discuss, feel free.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

One of my favorite Jew-isms is that story of Rabbi Hillel and Rabbi Shammi arguing whether the world should've ever been created and concluding that no it shouldn't have. I imagine anything would look good in opposition to non-existence, though. Considering the unremembered race that my sperm cell made to the egg, part of me hoped to come into being.

I experienced both, so I can make a choice based on experience.
          I definitely prefer having a life ;D

            i choose life,
i mean the fact that i have life right now proves there's something to being given life, if i wasn't supposed to be, i wouldn't exist, but i do, and there's a meaning for it, so i wouldn't choose to not exist.

but i am interested why you ask this question?
            where you getting at?

Good question!! I would choose the first option without hesitation. The certainty that I will never ever suffer again is so appealing.

                              why?

Which is better, to go to Heaven or to not go through anything good or bad at all? If I won't know anything, since I am not even created, how would it matter whether I go to Heaven or not?

I've thought about not existing/not having existed and I think that is awful. Why not take your chance and live, rather than not even knowing what it is like to live and having a 0%-chance of going to paradise?

                                          I chose undecided.

From my reading of the quran we all MUST have been given this choice by The God before our earthly life. Everyone reading this chose yes obviously and entered the earth as humans welcome lol. But what's intriguing is we don't have a recollection of this decision making.

I dont agree with the interpretation that we are here because 'adam' whomever that maybe sinned and we ended up here as a result of it. We reap what we sow and going solely by deductive reasoning our earthy conditions i.e which family we're born into must have been conditional on our past life as souls. It doesn't make sense to me why some people are given a head start(wealthy family) in life while others live till 2 years or 3 years and come into a poor family and die.

                                          PEACE
