    No longer a Sunna-rejecter

    Peace AN,

    Salaam Progressive1993,

interestingly I came across an article just posted on ourbeacon on this subject, you may find interesting, I find no benefit in quoting Christianised translations at me, but as you please, say BISMILLAH and eat it, is fine, simple and quick, as a reminder for those less thoughtful to recognise the source of their food, thoughts, existence, and this is the real function of the guidance, its easy to forget the true nature of existence, but I think I am always mindful of the source. The thought is all that is required, an intention, all is connected.

The article fully agrees with what I have said.

    From the article

By reading 16114, we note that the command of uttering God?s Name is related to whatever we eat, ANYTHING, and not just meat. This includes fruit, vegetables, or even snacks like cookies, biscuits or peanuts etc. Should we slaughter fruit, cookies and peanuts? So, the only way to obey God?s law is to take His Name before eating all foods.
Verse 55 makes it clear that God has made it Lawful for us to eat the food of People of the Book (Jews, Christians). As the Christians in particular do not take God?s Name before slaughtering, their food is still lawful for us. This can only mean that the duty is laid on each of us before eating our food and nothing else.

    Anyways, do as you please.

    peace

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.
