3:14 women or most modern things?
-
I don't think it has to be sexual. Spouses are a blessing. The Quran usually speaks to men such as 2221 and 2235 but it doesn't mean that the same cannot apply to women too.
where exactly is an-naas = men only in those two verses?
read 314 again

i didn't say it says men. look at the 2 examples that i gave - do they say 'men'?
Peace
To translate "Al-nisaa" other than "women" is nothing but just ignorance of Arabic and attempt for distortion of language.Al-nisaa = plural of "imra'atun" (woman).

This beautiful language of Arabic, in which words like 'ktb' can have so many manifestations like kataba, yaktub, maktab, maktub, kaatib etc, but for the word 'nisaa', the plural is imra'at? LOL.

Sorry, I refer to Quranic language, not the broken unsystematic arabic you guys use. Where no words are related and (coincidentally) the Quran can't explain itself. You stick to your broken plurals, mate. Salat = du'a, right?

Quran
You want to say in the following Aya it is the "modern things" which are menstruating ??
In this Aya you want to say that these are the "modern things" which are divorced and married?
Please do not try to befool the public ?

don't forget the context, use your common sense.

I don't understand the discrepancy. The word "nisaa" means women. Therefore, "al nisaa" means the women. There's an entire chapter of the Qur'aan dedicated to this subject (i.e. Q. chapter 4). The Qur'aanic usage of "al nasii" (Q. 937) is not the same thing. I've never heard of "nisaa" being translated as modern things by anyone.

Dr Mohamed Shahrour of Syria understands nisaa in 3/14 as 'latest trends'. His website is www.shahrour.org

Where does it say that "Al-nisaa" is NOT plural of imra'atun" ?

I think Samia's point is that there are OTHER meanings as well. Please don't pretend like there aren't.

Your thought is wrong .She does not know even how to consult the dictionary.
This word is "Al nisaa'o".She is looking for "Al-nasaa'o" which is a different word.- ( 1 / 166)
