    Assalamu alyekum!

Some questions, hope someone will answer and help me...

Allah sees everything. When i think about this, i think i gotta conrol myself every second, like, every move, every word, every thought that come to my mind. A lot of bad thoughts in my mind, i know, i just got to ignore them, but if i do this, i just feel so good about these thoughts... how i can describe this... some bad thoughts, i like them... I just cant relax and just live my life, u know... I cant do this the right way - when i wanna relax, i dont want to think about some things that i got to do, like helping others (i try to do this anyway)... i think about every move, every word, did i say that right, thinking about every step, what i did right/wrong... i just wanna relax. just live, but cant do it the right way, what u can say about this?

) i had (probbly still have) myself, overburdening thoughts throughout my days. Of course i have totally no idea of what your problem is (i have mine, thank you! ;D)

for starter, however, we'll see at least three things racing in your mind--one is stronger than the other--all struggling to win your self ...

              Step 1.
Say I seek refuge in Allah from the Accursed Devil".

              Step 2.
              Recite Surah 113
The Day Break - al Falaq
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful!

Say I seek refuge in the Lord of the Day break, from the evil of what He has created; from the evil of darkness when it gathers; from the evil of the conjuring witches; from the evil of the envier when he envies.

              Step 3.
              Recite Surah 114
              SURAH 114 AL NAS (Mankind).
In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful
1 Say I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind,
              2 The King of mankind,
              3 The God of mankind,
4 From the mischief of the whisperer, who withdraws,
5 He who whispers into the hearts of mankind,
6 Among Jinns and among men.

              Step 4
Make Dua' to Allah requesting Him to Purify your mind, and ask to have an organized Mind, Body, Soul and Life (house, work, etc)

From listening to you, my guess is that perhaps you may be over analyzing. Is this what is Happening?

I am the same age, and a couple years ago had the same thing. Even today I find my self in a Battle Ground. This is the method(steps) I do to relax. I figured out is that My mind LOVES to be Constantly Preoccupied with things. So..Its all a matter of what is it that its preoccupying or keeping focused on.

Are you bored? I usually Listen to music, Go on Forums, Read, Watch Movies, Focus my mind on something imparticular...if I dont...The same thing will probably happen to me too. I think its normal.

You have to Not Entertain Negative thoughts (meaning, Ignore them completely. Know they are not of Your Essence), then let them go, and instead focus on NOTHINGNESS (No Thoughts) and/Or Then Positive thoughts.

Some Advice that was given to m was.. Do NOT focus on the Past, for Many Humans Dwell in the past for no reason, what is done is done, And Do not Dwell I the Future, Rather Live in the NOW. Focus on the Now/Present. Action...and Not Thinking.

Sorry, Am I making Sense or Just sound like a Rambling Bafoon? lol ;D

Its funny you should say this as I feel the same wa, i always feel I am the only one who thinks like this. Its like something inside is whispering to me constantly. The actual whispers are not good and it bothers me. I try to ignore them and frequently pray for forgiveness for thinking such things. I think most of this is because of a tired mind thinking too much. We have to try and relax and sleep well.

                  peace

The way I go about it is praise The God at every oppotunity that He has blessed me with a wonderful family, a nice home, a full stomach, a good job and most of all good health.

It also helps to know that you are not the only one going through this.

It is Natural and all of Mankind must go through this.

I sometimes feel bad, because I have had some disgusting nasty, repulsive, thoughts before...

Luckely i was reminded that they are not of mine. They are whispers of the Jinn, and All of my family, Friends, and other have the SAME thing happen to them. It happens to everyone brother.

Its just going about fixing them.

I like the Hadith that says something like.... "They asked Prophet Muhammad, about Jinn, and Muhammad said something like...Everyone has a Jinn assigned to them till the day of judgment.

Then they asked Muhammad, "Oh Muhammad, Do you have a Jinn?
and Muhammad, Said Yes, But I am a Muslim, and now my Jinn has submitted too!

I dont know which hadtih this is but it has a good moral.

The Moral is that EVERYONE has a jinn, But when you live so righteous, so determined, so Focused....Inshallah, The Jinn who tries to derail you either has 2 options... Leave you and find someone else...or Look at you, Repent to Allah and Submit to Allah!.

Its a nice story. Everyone has your problem. Inshallah we all will solve it. handshake

                                  Assalamu alyekum!

Some questions, hope someone will answer and help me...

Allah sees everything. When i think about this, i think i gotta conrol myself every second, like, every move, every word, every thought that come to my mind. You are certainly not alone in the way you think;I call this 'consciousness' . You are very much aware that your thoughts are negative, which to me is a good thinig. Nothing wrong with having such thoughts, you just have to over-come them with positive thinking etc. Allah certainly doesn't expect us to be perfect creatures. Was Ibrahim perfect? Was Moosa perfect? This is why we are constantly reminded to observe as-salat. See 2945 and 11114 for its ultimate purpose.

"...If God finds in your hearts any good, He will grant you better than what He took from you, and He will forgive you. God is Forgiving, Merciful." - 870

                                  Peace

                                    salamun AAalaykum ibrahim & all,

                                    1. you are not alone. people who are serious & honest about their search for a personal comprehension on God usually have similar experiences - it's up to them to admit or deny it. so, don't worry about it.

                                    2. from experience, those thoughts are not ours. they are in the mind, but they not ours. simply because when we were having those thoughts, we were never at peace, or we could not feel the peacefulness in our hearts. why don't you try to check on this the next time you have those thoughts again. feel your heart. is your heart peaceful? i doubt it.

                                    3. lets say they are not your thoughts. this is one of the ways to discern that these thoughts are not ours. lets just sit down comfortably. try to arrive at the peacefulness in the heart. have a try and do it patiently. after you have arrived at the peacefulness, be an observer. for a start, observe the thoughts. if you can observe the thoughts, definitely they are not yours, as on one hand there is you who is observing, and then there are those thoughts having a ball in the mind. try to observe the thoughts. if you can do this, then you are an observer. and those thoughts are not yours. this is 'al-furqan' (the separation) between 'i' and 'not-i', or 'mine' and 'not-mine', or in this particular case, the observer and the observed.

                                    4. since these thoughts are not ours, it is only proper that we do not entertain them. as a true observer, be detached from those thoughts. just observe in total detachment but with absolute peacefulness of the heart. over time, most people can do the separation. and you can do this, insha-Allah. those thoughts want you to ride on them. it's like a kid wanting you to play with him/her. if you entertain the kid, you will eventually lose yourselves with much unfinished business (especially you become oblivious of God). so, when you are capable of observing them with indifference, then you are giving peaceful (remember the condition of the heart?) vibes to those thoughts. shortly, after being observed, one thought will disappear. another will try to seduce you, but if you just keep on observing, then it will disappear too. over time, those thoughts will disappear, and you enjoy a tranquility of mind. .

                                    5. and over time, try to expand the horizon - observe other things such as the eyes/sight, the ears/hearing, skin/sense of touch, the body/the feel of energy, etc. but always do this in total detachment but with absolute peacefulness. insha-Allah you will have comprehension on a lot of things. .

                                    6. some people say those thoughts are 'shayateen', yet others say they are of the 'jinn' kind. in our comprehension (this is about metaphysics), for a person they are 'his/her-selves' or 'the whole of mankind' other than him/her. let's zoom in to a simple case, or in my personal case these are my-selves, that are made of all of mankind other than my true self. in other words, 'i' am the 'king' while they are all my subjects. to be the rightful 'king' in this body of mine, 'i' have to be wise in dealing with those thoughts (selves or people) - not to entertain, but to observe. or in another words, 'i' should place them according to their appropriate status, particularly as 'subjects' when 'i' am 'king'. otherwise, 'i' would become a subject in my 'kingdom'. this explains why we say in 'al-fatiha; "5. Iyya-ka na'budu wa iyya-ka nasta'in 6. Ihdina-sirat al-mustaqim." and we also read in 'al-baqara'; "154. Wala taqooloo liman yuqtalu fee sabeeli Allahi amwatun bal ahyaon walakin la tashAAuroona." there are indeed many other verses of the qur'an that give greater insights on 'nafs' (self), that merit a more in-depth study. .

                                    7. if one does not control (by making it peaceful) one's heart, one will find that the heart will accumulate diseases. and God shall compound the disease. we read about this in the Qur'an. so be careful about the heart. unchecked, the heart it becomes the breeding ground for 'shayateen'.

                                    8. the diseases of the heart will affect the bile. more information on bile is available at this link http//thesaurus.reference.com/browse/bile.

                                    9. if one does not control (by making it tranquil) one's mind, one will find that the mind will accumulate negative thoughts. and God shall scorch the minds of people with bad thoughts. we read about this in the Qur'an. so be careful about the mind. unchecked, the mind becomes the crown of 'iblees' - it becomes the king, thus the 'rabb' (a relevant post on 'rabb' is found here http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9599410.msg234119#msg234119.

but as always, these are personal comprehensions. so, to gain the truth, invest in correcting the relationship with God.

hopefully we do not become 'dajjal' - human beings with only one eye on what is the truth (his or her one side of the view). there are two sides of a coin, some say. and some other people say there are three. but we say there is always the fourth side of a coin - the inside.

may God guide us on the correct path, insha-Allah.

                                    peace!

Ibrahim i'm not sure what you mean but this verse does come to my mind

2286 God does not impose a person beyond it's capacity. For it is what it earns, and against it is what it earns.......
