Independent women can?t get married? that seems illogical
Anyway what word is regarded as independent? Muhsinaat?
It seems the Quran says do not marry the muhsinaat among the women(Nisa) but marry the muhsinat among the believers(mu'minat)
However it says not to marry the muhsinat among the nisa except those whom are on your oath.
And to marry the muhsinat among the believers if not than marry those whom are on your oath from the believing girls. Either way the difference here seem the term nisa general and nisa believers.
I am not sure about the term independent. It seems its talking about chastity since that term muhsin is used for Mary in the Quran. Maybe its a reference to the women who migrated. And there ones who are not known about their faith and ones who made an oath of loyalty with the prophet not to worship gods and to be virtues. I have never found any proper translation for these verses about muhsinat and ma malakat aymanukum. There always seems to be something missing.
Maybe its one of those verses or terms the Quran concealed its meaning. We do know the Quran says do not marry the pagans and marry the believers.
6010 O you who believe, if the believing females come emigrating to you, then you shall test them. God is fully aware of their belief. Thus, if you establish that they are believers, then you shall not return them to the rejecters. They are no longer lawful for one another. And return the dowries that were paid. And there is no sin upon you to marry them, if you have paid their dowries to them. And do not keep disbelieving wives, and ask back what dowries you paid. And let them ask back what dowries they had paid. Such is the judgment of God; He judges between you. God is Knowledgeable, Wise.
6011 And if any of your wives have gone-over to the camp of the rejecters, and you are granted victory over them, then you shall compensate those whose wives have gone-over, to the equivalent of what dowry they spent. And be aware of God, in whom you believe.
6012 O you prophet, if the believing females come to make allegiance to you that they will not set up anything besides God, nor steal, nor commit adultery, nor kill their children, nor fabricate any falsehood, nor disobey you in any matter which is righteous, then you shall accept their allegiance, and ask God to forgive them. God is Forgiver, Merciful.Maybe its all about this complex arrangement. Who knows.

Also chaste women(not having had sex, or without sexual thoughts or intentions)
, except those who take the oath Thus hath Allah ordained (prohibitions) against you Except for these, all others are lawful, provided ye seek (them in marriage) with gifts from your property,- desiring chastity, not lust, seeing that ye derive benefit from them, give them their dowers (at least) as prescribed; but if, after a dower is prescribed, agree Mutually (to vary it), there is no blame on you, and Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.possible?

423 sets an Un-conditional prohibition;

Prohibited to you are- Your mothers, daughters, sisters;............424 sets a conditional prohibition-i think.

Also (All) chaste women (Women without sexual thoughts or intentions)-
except those who take the oath...............The oath is simply your promise to fulfill each others rights in front of witnesses in the sight of God.
Its part and parcel of marriages in all communities.

Nobody knows and it seems its one of those verses that was designed not to be fully understood and see what spin people put on it. Once again the Sects faild that test.
