Salaam, some interesting views here! I guess I'm going to Hell as I'm pretty much covered in tattoos before & after my shahada. I don't have the money to remove them as it would cost thousands of pounds and I think Allah would prefer me to support my wife & 3 sons. Tattoo removal doesn't completely remove all the ink, I've seen it first hand, it can scar & the pain is much more painful than having a tattoo so you would be harming yourself more. I don't go to my local Mosque any more as I used to get looked at as a freak & was always harassed about my tattoos. It doesn't say in the Qur'an about tattoos which is one of the many reasons why I visit this site, as I thought I'd be more accepted here, & try to follow the Qur'an alone. If tattoos are considered to be sins then I guess I visibly 'wear' them but I reckon there are other Muslims who have sinned more than me who don't show them as they are kept inside their hearts. At least you can see I'm a sinner! lol! And sorry to go off topic but I don't agree with circumcision for no medical reason. I admit I thought of getting my sons circumcised before I realized Allah doesn't say to in the Qur'an. I was circumcised in my mid 20's, a very very very painful experience, but I had to for personal non-religious reasons.
I'm just being honest & don't expect anyone to agree with me, just sharing information peace -

the prophet Ayoub suffered the biggest and the worst suffering on earth before, today and in the future, no one will suffer like him, so stop excusing. You know that in the day of Judgement the prophet will be witnessed our actions, so any excuse from you, will not be acceptable.
What??? So you are telling me if someone with no money makes shahada and has tattoo's they need to spend thousands (depending on the extent of the tattoos) to get them removed? I could understand if when you have the available funds you should, but if you don't what do you do? Use a credit card? No...can't do that because then you are paying interest.
I don't know what you mean by me make excuses. Like I said, if you are legitimately broke and can't afford the removal then Allah knows better than anyone the situation you are in (like if you can't afford to make Hajj in your lifetime)....on the flip side Allah would know when (or if) you are out of that situation and can remove them.
As someone who has great respect for the story of the Prophet Ayyub (s) I don't feel it is appropriate to say to someone who doesn't have enough money to remove a tattoo (as in the situation I put forth in my original post) to say Well Prophet Ayyub (s) suffered more then you, so stop making excuses and find away to do it.

Money is not an excuse, if there is a will there is a way!

maybe you and reformer should send the money if you see it as so important
aha , the boy made the problem but call his dad to jail .

aha , the boy made the problem but call his dead to jail .
'the boy made the problem' before he became a muslim. IMHO he shouldnt further mutilate his body to remove them after he became a muslim. If you think he should when he has already explained his financial position then isnt the 'islamic' thing to do to help him, or shut up?
