Democracy is a way of life/a religion/a deen - legitimacy aside! USA wants the world to adopt it.

          HAHA rotfl

The US wants the world to Adopt Democracy?

Listen...Western Democracy is as far off from REAL democracy as Shia is from Islamic Quranic Monotheism.

          More like DemonCrazy....not democracy.

If Omezia is trying to say that Democracy is a Religion/Deen....I will concur if we then say that
ANY Ideology/Belief whether it be Spiritual, Philosophical, or Political is Religious.

For instance, If Democracy is considered a Religion (an Organized Belief either by 1 individual or many), Then Communism is a religion, Socialism is a religion, and even Personal Belief/Opinion is a Religion.

How you choose to live your life and govern yourself can be to some degree (your religion).

You may be vegetarian and belief in Native philosophies...therefore can we say that is a religion?

          I say *F todays Democracy.

I think Democracy/Communist/capitalist...etc... Values are great if they are compatible 2nd to Quranic Law.
To me Quranic Law Aka True-Shariah is broad enough to give us the goods in democracy,commuism,etc... without actualy being specifically ONLY oe of those.

"Yesterday's" democracy isn't preferable to today's democracy, they're both pretty terrible when it comes to humanity. Democracy plain and simple is the rule of the majority. There is nothing positive about that, it is absolutely terrible. Islam and freedom is about protecting everyone, even the minority, where no one has authority over another except for God. Like stated above, what is positive about the 51% majority doing whatever they want to the 49% minority? Democracy has never been about freedom(not that I'm saying thats your position). Its more like you have 3 guys, Sam, Tom, and Robert. Now Sam says "hey Robert I'm going to take all your food and clothes". And Robert says "no way they're mine." Tom who believes in democracy says "Why don't we vote on it!". Sam and Tom both vote yes, and Robert Votes no. Sorry robert! That's democracy, your clothes and food are taken away now. I find this to be a pretty nice book on democracy http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democracy_The_God_That_Failed

I dont see any goods in communism or democracy to relate them to the positive qualities of Quran. Communism and democracy both operate through use of force and aggression, steal from one group of people to give to another. Quran esposes voluntary means to help people through charity, no need for a govenment to redistribute wealth.

                Salaam satisfaction.

I agree with you on that.

however, I do believe in Some Aspects of Democracy, for small things.
For example... The Quran might not specify certain things about the community such as If we should use the open feild in the city to build a Football stadium or build a park...

So I think that on small things such as that...a Good Community Vote would seem like a good thing.
(what do you think about that)?

                  Salaam RA,

Quran shows the way how communities should engage using the concept of Hajj, But this current hajj being hijacked by some people from Saudi. To me Hajj and the sacred mosque is not reserved for some place or direction.. Any govt or authority of a group of people with common interests can build a focal point and ask people to get together, feast, offer sacrifices, relax etc... for benefit of the poor and the society. Theres a lot to think about.
