A Discussion on Justice

Al-^Adl - The Just, The One who is entitled to do what He does.
To begin I should ask if this is an accurate summary of one of the 99 names of Allah? If not, is there a better summary?
I can't envisage a scenario where one can do whatever they like and every action be considered 'just' simply because they did it. How is that just? What does it mean to you?

Can one that is entitled to do what it does take contradictory actions and still be just?
Or does it mean the actions that he takes are just?
For instance if Jim owns a car and Sally takes it from Jim and then we asked Allah for justice

Would Allah say, "The car is Jim's, Sally took it. It is just to return the car."

Could Allah say "I have decided to leave the car with Sally and what I say is Just because I am Allah."

Its what you choose to do that determines whether your just.

The first one. In fact this is one of the messages in the Quran.
785 And to Midyan, their brother Shu'ayb, he said "My people, serve God, you have no god besides Him. Clarity has come to you from your Lord, so give full weight and measure, and do not hold back from the people what belongs to them, and do not make corruption on the earth after it has been set right. That is better for you if you believe."
And justice applies to everyone, it doesn't matter who Jim is.
4135 O you who believe, stand with justice as witnesses to God, even if against yourselves, or the parents or the relatives. Even if he be rich or poor, God is more worthy of them, so do not follow desire into being unjust. And if you twist or turn away, then God is Expert over what you do.

Human justice is different from the justice of God. God created human beings and God created human justice for the benefit of human beings. The justice of God is the fact of his creating things in such a way so we have the tools we need to live, i.e. a goat has the teeth it needs to chew grass, a cat has the claws it needs to pounce on a mouse, and human beings have the intelligence and desires to organise their own lives.
You cannot judge God by human justice, like the 10 commandments or Sharia law, these are meaningless when you try to apply them to God. Likewise you cannot judge human beings by God's justice as we lack the ability to fully understand the consequences of our actions, but instead we only follow the nature God has given us. The fact that the universe exists is proof of God's love and God's justice. Human justice though is our work to implement.
