I am sure many of you guys are familiar with the history of the Christian Bible, but still I suggest watching this video which gives a perfect background of the scenario, by Bart Ehrman.

The important info starts at 150 http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=TS37yrBwx2Q

Bart is not just any guy of the street. He is the Chairman of the Department of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduated from Moody's Bible Institute, and received his Ph.D and M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary. He is also an expect in ancient languages, and has read literally ALL of the ancient New Testament manuscripts.

When you watch his video, you come to some conclusions Every single one of the Gospels was written 40-80 years after Jesus, and none of them were written from first hand witnesses. They were all written in a different language than Jesus (Greek), and were nothing more than oral narrations, spoken down through the decades, which were eventually written down by professional writers in Rome. Yes, the new testament is literally nothing more than "hadith" of Jesus, written decades later!

Christians contend that the books of the Gospel were written by 20+ men, who were all "inspired by God" through their pen, to write the truth. However, Bart proves this theory completely false in another of his lecture series, found here, which explains the major contradictory stories in the Gospels

    http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cK3Ry_icJo

So, we know that all of the Gospels are nothing more than hadith with no chain of witnesses going back to Jesus, written by anonymous professional authors, 40-80 years after the dead of Jesus, which themselves were also proven to be corrupted, added to, deleted from, and changed.

A lot of times Christians ask "So if the Bible was corrupted, WHEN was it corrupted???". The answer was it was ALWAYS corrupted, from day one (just like hadith of Muhammad), as every single book is nothing but hear-say. On top of that, it's completely ridiculous to believe that God would choose to send 20+ prophet/messengers, ALL TO THE SAME AREA, SPEAKING THE SAME LANGUAGE, DURING THE SAME TIME PERIOD, only a few decades after the Messenger / Prophet Jesus had been sent!

All of this information has been known for hundreds of years, is admitted by Christian scholars, and taught at the seminary schools. This is why sooo many Christians who go to seminary school end up not believing in the Bible (many end up believing Jesus was just a messenger).

But I digress. The reason I am writing this post is to prove (using the Quran, and the information stated above), that the Injeel mentioned in the Quran has NOTHING TO DO WITH the New Testament.

546 We followed their teaching with Jesus the son of Mary, authenticating what was present with him of the Torah. We gave him the Injeel, in it is guidance and light, and to authenticate what is present with him of the Torah, and a guidance and lesson for the righteous.

It's abundantly clear that NONE of the books in the Gospels were ever "given to Jesus". Not even a single Christian will claim that.

547 Let the people of the Injeel judge with what God has sent down in it. Whoever does not judge by what God has sent down, then these are the vile ones.

The Gospels are NOT a book of law, and they contain no new laws. obviously the "Injeel" was a book of law. Therefor the Injeel has nothing to do with the New Testament.

5110 God said, "O Jesus son of Mary, recall My blessings upon you and your mother that I supported you with the Holy Spirit; you spoke to the people in the cradle and in old age; and I taught you the book and the wisdom, and the Torah, and the Injeel; and you would create from clay the shape of a bird, then blow into it and it becomes a bird by My leave; and you heal the blind and the leper by My leave; and you brought out the dead by My leave. I have restrained the Children of Israel from you, that you came to them with proofs; but those who rejected amongst them said, "This is an obvious magic!""

Again, not even a single Christian claims that the Gospels were given to Jesus.

5727 Then We sent in their tracks Our messengers. We sent Jesus the son of Mary, and We gave him the Injeel, and We ordained in the hearts of his followers kindness and compassion. But they invented Monasticism which We never decreed for them. They wanted to please God, but they did not observe it the way it should have been observed. Consequently, We gave those who acknowledged among them their recompense, while many of them were wicked.

Final time, Jesus was never "given any books" of the New testament. Therefor they cannot be the same.

Obviously the Injeel is a lost book; a book of laws which was given to Jesus. Apparently the Christians decided to throw away their religious book given to them from God, and instead fabricate a BOOK OF HADITH to rely on, and claim it was "inspired by God", written by 20+ authors.

The most disturbing aspect about the Injeel, in the Quran, is that MANY English translators (including Rashad Khalifa) wrongly translate this as "The Gospel". This is beyond absurd, because there is literally no such thing as "THE Gospel". There is a COLLECTION of Gospels, and the Bible is literally called the Bible, because bible means "collection of books". Referring to a lost book of law given to Jesus does nothing but confuse Muslims, and make them think that the bible somehow has a basic level of legitimacy, when the truth is, not a single word of the New Testament was written by God.

      Alhamdulilah

The effort you put into writing this, alhamdulilah, we know Isa is not the same name as Jesus, but believe them to be synonymous, we know Christ and Messih or Messiah are not the same word but are synonymous, and same with Injeel and Gospel, they may be different words but may mean the same. I think this is the position of Rashad Khalifa, it isn't to confuse people but to free them, and that is the purpose of truth, to set you free. Whereas others wish to bring dogmatic situations, inviolable laws or twist and mess up the circles, and not wish people to be free. A pearl of wisdom, I used to hear quite often among friends when I was growing up, 'you shouldn't look above you and see what they have and what you wish for, should look below you to people less fortunate, and maybe you will become appreciative.' What defines me as me, my education, my illness I am diagnosed with a mental illness, my disability I'm incomplete paraplegic, but alhadulilah I am well and functioning but these things are with me for the rest of my days, they are the constant reminder of what I can and can't do, as well as my affirmation and positivity which none can break, my bond which I have grasped, which is to believe in God and denounce the devil, which stems from a quranic teaching. We can all go down there, where would I be if I didn't break my back? Same question but add your own negativity to it, some may have problems as children with their parents, either splitting up or not being there. And remember God is Most Gracious, Most Merciful, as we reminded at the beginning of every chapter in the Quran, grace in that He doesn't wish ill to anyone, and His mercy encompasses all things.
The following is something I stumbled upon, but it is about positivity or negativity, and which you choose to feed. I have no qualms in people saying things, but when they put kala rasoolallah, then it beggars belief, because no one can remember for verbatim much more than a few words ago, try and regurgitate everything I said at the start of this post, I find it impossible, and also a lie and stems from ignorance. They extol in all three, the sunna, the ahle bayt, and ahle hadith, but the Quran you ask them to uphold, and they flee like zebra from a lion. Think for yourselves do not let others do your thinking for you, but like anything you need to nurture it and replenish it and cause and effect will bring forth new ideas. Anyway I hope the following can be of some use.

      The Parable of Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson
about a battle that goes on inside all people.

He said, ?My son, the battle is between two
wolves that dwell inside each and everyone of us.

      ?One is Evil.
It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed,
      arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority,
lies, false pride, superiority and ego.

      The other is Good.
It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility,
      kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity,
      truth, compassion and faith.?

The grandson thought about it for
a minute, and then asked his grandfather

      ?Which wolf will win ??

      The old Cherokee simply replied
      ?The one you feed.?

Then when you say you cannot remember so far back, they will forget they had magic powers of memory and say,'did the Christians know what Jesus said.' But you will find most do not look for right, knowing things by their opposites, but try and make two wrongs a right, by copying other people, they lack wisdom, a soul, because it is up for sale, and something to bargain with, due to the actions of many who fed the evil rather than the good.

In the New Testament it will say that Jesus went out and preached the Gospel. For Example

Matt 423 Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom.

This Gospel was not Matthew, Mark, Luke or John obviously. It was the Gospel given to him by Allah.

and the main part of that Gospel was worship One God and enjoin no partners with him, same as the first commandment, hence when 'Christianity' was born all reference to that was taken out in order for the 'trinity' to come in.

              Selam Ayisha

              A good example is here

Matthew {721} Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall
enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will
of my Father which is in heaven. {722} Many will say to
me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy
name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy
name done many wonderful works? {723} And then will I
profess unto them, I never knew you depart from me, ye
              that work iniquity.

              Peace

Excellent post yet i have one query. There are many verses which seem to indicate that we have to take guidance from Injeel and Torath. How would you reconcile the two positions. Is ther any verse in AQ which categorically states that Injeel is lost or has been tampered with?.
