Yes, he is right nothing changed . that's what I mean but it changes in a different way (decreasing the first). I can't describe a good word in english even a native speaker of english will not find a good word to describe what I mean.
change but not change >>>>> the Arabic is "" another unique word in arabic and especially in religion it means something else .

the word is 'added' not 'change'. It doesnt change (even in a different way) the meaning of the first part it adds to it, it does not decrease the first.

Write it in your native language. We will get it translated in good English. Don't worry about that.

Can one root in Arabic have a meaning & then have a meaning that is opposite to it? (Even if the word is a derivative of the original root).
Imraan
Peace
Thanks for the responses.
One of the reasons for my question is because I am currently studying the supposed concept of abrogation in Quran.
We find that the derivatives of "nasakha" that appear in 2106 & 2252 are usually understood in the vein of abrogation, cancellation, etc.
In 7154 & 4529, we find that the derivatives of "nasakha" are understood in the vein of something written down or preserved.
This poses a problem because canceling or annulling something is quite the opposite of preserving it.
I don't accept "nasakha" as abrogation, but would like some input on any other concepts that present themselves as contradictory in the way they are usually translated because I feel that they need to be dealt with. We must take up the challenge of any apparent contradictions in the Quran if we are truly seeking the truth.
Imraan
To clarify, I would like to know if there are any other instances in the Quran where words derived from the same root give opposite meanings. I am aware that the opposite meanings from same root are found in the lexicons. We cannot accept the lexicons blindly though as they are open to manipulation. It just seems to me that such a situation cannot prevail in Quranic usage of words.
If there are certain forms of verbs that indicate the opposite of its root, I would like to know as I am not aware of any.

So where did you learn Classical Arabic? To my knowledge not many Moroccon people speak it at home. And which dialect do you normally speak in your area?
Credentials, please. -*where ? in school, you forgot that Moroccans people learn Arabic from primary school until the high school. but for me I was different (I think there are guys here who they are so good in Arabic too), I've been addicted and I've read a lor of classic Arabic poems even I've study the " " a kind of science in arabic language .
and my studies were so different because of teachers of Arabics who they encouraged me, and seeing me as a challenge, I know that they are better than me but I've made problems for them in some things.
I made classic poems and the free poems . and In my school from college to university I have known as a poet.
about my dialect language is " " and it is typically Arabic with a little bit of difference that we don't use grammar in it or anything else like english dialect.

I didn't read any book, I use my language skills to try to make the word closer for you . there is no change but the first order in the verse has been get decreased in the second verse.
I've gave you the verse of what I mean too, but as I see you didn't even read them . Anyways in the verse God said that he made another verse better than the first one or like the first one in the meaning and that doesn't mean that he changed anything .

yes is it your language skills that are at fault here. You cannot have 'changed but not changed', that is NOT English and has no meaning.
to say the verse has been decreased IS a change, to make something better IS to change it.
