    Exactly!

You can't beat an inspiring bit of music

yay In seconds of me putting it on my daughter gave me a "Muuuum?" - the kind that really means "Mum, what weird thing are you doing now?" Half way through she was asking for it to stop! lol. How does that man remain so flipping happy? Priceless.

you sure that was because you were a woman? Maybe it is the singing in itself >D

When I sing birds drop out the sky and small children start to cry....

Haha! Yes, it's always possible he was just thinking of others welfare by not letting them hear this voice. I admit, I could be a better singer.

@ Wootah - yes, no surprises that dishes were ok to do P

@ Mushu your post made me laugh mostly because it is true. Many people listen to music that has bad content. I was thinking about that yesterday. I guess it's up to each person where they are going to draw the line. I'm not that strict but I totally relate to the examples you gave. Hamdulillah you've been able to have a fresh start with your music. That's a positive thing.

Yes it's so inspiring that I'm inspired to shoot myself.

Well, if only each and everyone of the target audience shared your aspiration... (we'd have much less trolololols in the world by now)

I remember taking this type of fatwa very seriously. I gave up music for just over a year, got rid of all my music and sold my mp3 player. The thing is, I sort of experienced the benefits of giving up music. It cleared my mind of all the crap that I was feeding it. No longer was Ludacris telling me he had hoes in different area codes, or Biggie revealing his dreams of 'f****** an R'n'B b****'. Basically, I was polluting my mind and the hiatus did me a world of good. I noticed a change in my own character, and found myself thinking and reflecting more. Before, if I had a quiet moment to myself I'd hum a song or rap a lyric to myself. Once I quit I freed up a lot of brain energy.

Since I woke up to the extremity of such a fatwa, I've built up my music collection again but this time being far more selective. Inspiring lyrics and genuine expression of reality or dreams is what I look for now.

This is precisely why rap is crap.

Mr.trolololo is however strangely upbeat and happy yet SO weird...the contrast is fascinating creepy.

Did anyone else wonder how 'hard' his hair might be to the touch? (or is that just me? -[)
