do not ask God question
-
I remember coming across a verse, which said not to implore Allah about that which He has not explained (sentence ends) and that which was not asked when the Qu'ran was being revealed. I do not remember the third sentence but it ended with and Allah is Most merciful, Most compassionate.
Forgive me if I am wrong about what I described above a the verse, but does anyone recognize this? I would appreciate it very much if you posted the chapter and verse from the Qu'ran in which it is mentioned.

Salaam,
I believe you were thinking of verse 5101, which goes like this
O ye who believe! Ask not of things which, if they were made known unto you, would trouble you; but if ye ask of them when the Qur'an is being revealed, they will be made known unto you. Allah pardoneth this, for Allah is Forgiving, Clement.
The above is Marmaduke Pickthall's translation. I hope that helps .
Salaam.

I understand this verse as this
he's saying to don't ask about things that doesn't make sense to the human mind, or the mind cannot accept it, than because of our limits, we will definitaly find it a fairy tale or illogical, than we naturally deny it,
or he's speaking about bad things, like, do not ask about bad things , if it comes, it will hurt you as people before you did
Allah knows best
